I normally support IHG / Holiday Inn but acknowledge it is not one of the better brands / chains out there. This is a small property in a small military town. The lobby, front desk staff and breakfast area are all great. Very friendly staff. Breakfast area is clean with a good layout and furniture. Typical continental breakfast, a lot of options, but you get what you expect in terms of generic 'scrambled eggs' and flimsy greasy bacon. Everything was in good working order though. The low star rating is because of my room. Leftover trash in various spots around my room. The bathroom was extremely dated and worn. The shower 'shelf' normally available for bar soap was missing and the scare on the wall was evident. The bar soap is the smallest soap I have ever scene. I have low expectations when staying at IHG properties these days and knew coming to this small town that is a military fueled region would likely provide low overall standards. Again, the staff was amazing, just wish they would invest in some upgrading for the rooms. read more

Wendy at the Front Desk was very helpful, accommodating and professional. She allowed me to get the Government rate as a GOV CTR supporting Soldiers here at JRTC. The Hampton in which is 50 meters up the road who is owned by the same person does not offer CTRs the GOV rate. Just look at the Stars for the IHG vs the Hampton Inn in Leesville and you can see a clear difference. The owner needs to start taking care of his customers if he wants to keep them. Yes there are limited places to stay in SLeesville and typically CTRs typically want to keep their Hilton Honors or Marriott Points. But if you want to be treated like a customer I would recommend this IHG. Cleaner, nicer staff, and they give the GOV rate. read more

Had a hard time finding a hotel within the government per diem rate during a recent trip to Leesville/Ft Polk, but the Holiday Inn Express offered it. An older but well-maintained facility, I lucked out and was upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite for my stay. Lots of room, all the standard amenities - WiFi, microwave, mini-refrigerator (with freezer), fitness room, pool, hot breakfast, and parking. HIE was about 15 minutes away from Ft Polk and south of downtown Leesville, great base to re-visit the local area. They also had a manager's reception with beer (I don't recall how many nights), but I didn't partake. HIE also honored the government tax exemption. Very enjoyable and I would stay again when my travels bring me back to the Leesville/Ft Polk area. Will repeat and recommend! read more

The main hotel has very nice staff. They even offered me trail mix and water as I checked in. The hotel I was in was easy to find. The main building gave me easy to read directions, but all I had to do was follow the signs on the road. It was within five minutes of the main building driving. The room was clean, and very spacious. Free internet, bigger bathroom/shower than expected, and a USB on the tv for those like me who forgot their plug. read more

The room are dirty and the bed spreads have stains on them. When I walked in the room you can tell that the managers or higher uppers do not validate the rooms being cleaned . The manager of the hotel didn't even where a mask . read more

This is an older Holiday Inn Express...as a platinum priority club member I've stayed in Holiday Inn Express all over the country and have to say this was one of the worst. In the bathroom the tile was cracked and poorly fixed, the bed has a plastic matress pad/encasing and only a sheet covering it, the thermostat is still controlled by the under window wall unit (and did not keep a constant tempature) and the pillows have seen better days. Unfortunately it's here or the Hampton right behind Holiday Inn. On a positive note everyone one of the staff members were very nice and oozed southern charm. read more

Someone stole my laundry bag at this hotel. Since it was at the end of the week I lost over half my clothes. They have no surveillance inside or outside of the hotel so it becomes your word against theirs. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I filed a police report. read more

I had wonderful stay at this location. The lodging on base couldn't accommodate so I went to this location. From the moment I walk in the staff are very helpful to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Great Hotel! When I'm in town for business I always stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are always clean and they're equipped with everything I need for my long stays. The staff at this hotel is awesome! Erica and Marinda at the front desk are the best. They make sure to resolve any issues that I have. They're great at their jobs. Laya and Sissy in housekeeping take the cake! They are always very polite and make me feel like i'm in the comfort of my own home. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel if ever passing through Leesville. Good job guys! read more

I had a very pleasant stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Leesville. The staff is superb-- very attentive and regularly asks if you need anything else. You don't usually expect that level of customer service but this particular Holiday Inn Express was adamant about taking care of each of their guests. My stay was totally splendiferous! Staff was friendly, helpful, and accessible. Room was very clean, attractive, and comfortable. The only problem was that my I pad would not stay connected to their WiFi. The delicious cinnamon rolls made up for that. Would definitely stay here again. read more
