Bare Ranch in my opinion is perfect on so many levels. The vineyard lined property is gorgeous, and perfectly kept. The craftsman style house, great lawn/tent and fountain are all an idealic setting to celebrate a wedding. After looking at several wineries in Lodi for our ceremony and reception, it became obvious to my fiance and I that Bare Ranch was the total package. Beautiful setting and very reasonably priced... Score! Because Micheal David Winery owns the property, Michael David wines are served at weddings - double score! The whole process in booking our Spring 2012 wedding has been so easy and enjoyable. Lori has been a joy to work with and has given me as a bride something priceless... peace of mind! 9/13/11: Considered this establishment as a possible venue for our wedding. Out of all of the wineries in Lodi, this one caught my eye. Bare Ranch is easy to get to and is a very beautiful place. Well maintained and spacious. There is a gorgeous pool area for cocktail hour and white tent for reception is included. Don't need to decorate much cause this place is naturally smashing. Met with the event coordinator, Lori, and she is a doll. Love the fact that they only do ONE wedding a day (that's a big deal when there are SO many details involved.) We had our wedding here in September and we loved every minute of it. Not only are the grounds beautiful, Lori and Jen are absolutely amazing and fun to work with. We wanted to use the long driveway for the dinner service so we could have one long table and they were more than accommodating even though it was a new configuration. Everything went off without a hitch and many of our guests commented on the beautiful setting. We loved that so much was included in the venue fee (we didn't have to bring in extra restrooms or a catering kitchen - the site was really built for events!). Bar Ranch- venue site: TEN STARS Lori- venue coordinator- TEN STARS (or a million) My sister just had her wedding there and, as Matron of Honor, I was heavily involved in the planning (as well as knowing what it's like to plan a wedding and knowing a good venue). This place has everything you could even dream of having at your wedding venue. From the immaculate driveway entrance to the gorgeous grounds for both ceremony and reception- this setting created the perfect backdrop for such a memorable day. Every single aspect of the wedding day flowed flawlessly into the next and that definitely wouldn't have happened with out the amazingly professional and talented coordinator, Lori. Wow, you ask her to do one thing and she gets it done 10x better then you expected or hoped for. We did not encounter a single hiccup the ENTIRE day. Her recommendations, referrals, and ideas made my sister's wedding perfect. I cannot emphasize enough how perfect Bare Ranch is and how highly I will recommend it as a wedding venue to anyone "shopping" around. You will get far more then what you pay for! read more

Laurie Phillips IS as good as it gets! We held a memorial service with lunch for 200+ people on the lovely Bare Ranch grounds. I'm amazed to be saying this, but nothing went wrong! Laurie is organized and helpful AND gracious. She averted any problems before they arose. She somehow made a day that could have been very difficult a day to remember with a smile. Lori and the rest of Bare Ranch are incredible. On extremely short notice, they were able to accommodate a large group (100-150 people). I just got married here at the end of July. Originally, Bare Ranch wasn't even planning any events that last weekend in July because it is their vacation time. I told them it was the only weekend we had available and they made it happen. :) After looking at a few wineries in Lodi, we knew instantly that Bare Ranch was where we wanted to get married. The entrance sets the tone of how beautiful this venue is. There is a gorgeous tree lined driveway with surrounding vineyards all over. We decided to get married in the front of the house and have cocktail hour around the pool that has fountains with dinner under a tent in the backyard. Plenty of shade everywhere at this venue. They even put up extra umbrellas during our ceremony. It was a warm 92 degree day. We worked with Lori Phillips and her sister Trisha. What wonderful people to work with. Lori even had a baby during the six months of our planning, but she never missed a beat. She and her sister were on it. There wasn't much decorating needed because this place is breathtaking. People are still talking about how wonderful the staff was and how beautiful the venue was. To me it had the backyard but very elegant feel to it. Lori had a list of her preferred vendors and we were very pleased with them. Steve from Angelina's in Stockton was great to work with. He has catered at Bare Ranch many times. Kim Duke did our dessert bar and wedding cake. She has also been hired for many weddings at Bare Ranch and was so nice to work with. The new hotel Hampton Inn and Suites provided a shuttle to and from Bare Ranch for our guests. They said it only comes to drop off and pick up two times, but they made sure everyone had a ride. I had chosen a DJ, florist, and photographer on my own and it was no problem with Lori. She is very easy going and well organized. When it was time to chose our wedding wine I got to invite my mother and bridesmaids to go to Michael David winery for all of the complimentary tastings we wanted. It was then that I chose our bartender. They made me feel like the special bride at every step of our six months planning. Whatever I needed or envisioned, they made it happen. They even made a special purchase of a beer that my dad insisted they served at a wedding he was providing. Because it wasn't one they had a contract with, whatever beer he purchased he got to bring home at the end of the night. Same thing with the wine because you order by the case (we have a few bottles to last us a while). I got a lot of ideas from looking at previous weddings at Bare Ranch from photos people posted on line and also Facebook. There was a wedding one week or two before mine and Lori even offered for me to come while they were setting up because I had in interest in draping they were doing on their tent. I couldn't make it, but my mother in law and her sister were able to go for me. Very thoughtful of Lori to let us see it in person to see if it was something we waned. There isn't one place at Bare Ranch you can't take a gorgeous photo. I haven't gotten all of my wedding photos back yet, but just looking at a preview it is stunning. The background is the best anywhere you take a photo. There wasn't one thing I would change about our wedding. Everyone worked very well together. Lori and her sister are genuinely nice people and were diligent wedding planners. I highly recommend getting married at Bare Ranch. Loved it! read more
