I've stayed at this hotel several times and the experience has always been good. It's a little off the beaten path but is well maintained with adequate free parking. There always seems to be a good number of people staying here, which says they are doing something right. Aliitle out of the way but had a great stay and doing a repeat of this hotel on the way back. No traffic noise. Just as the reviews stated everyone was very helpful and friendly. It's location wasn't the best - in the middle of the industrial area and it was kind of scary to drive there at night time, but overall it was not bad. The staff was friendly and explained everything (WiFi, breakfast, even the trick of using the shower faucet) at check in. The room was clean and neat, but this hotel definitely needed some upgrades. The overall appearance of the bathroom was a bit old. It has everything needed to stay for a night - not fancy, but practical. Breakfast is buffet style and it has a few hot items, very limited choices though. read more

For a Chain hotel, way out in the country, I was not disappointed. It was extremely clean. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was included with the daily rate and was impressive as hotel breakfasts go. There were healthy, vegetarian options but the best part was the availability of small cartons of almond milk!!! This was the first time I've seen this. Will definitely go back as we visit family in the area. read more

What a lovely group of individuals, putting such attention to detail into their property. I can't recommend this venue highly enough for anyone who appreciates being made to feel welcome at a hotel geared towards business travelers. From the homemade (and delicious and special) Syracuse graduation reception that they put so much care into, to helping me track a lost bag, to literally running around at 5am cleaning and prepping for the breakfast crowd with fresh fruit, pancakes, waffles, and coffee. Came in for work trip so no I didn't pick this hotel. I didn't really appreciate the check-in staff since the three stars. The woman that checked me in didn't even explain Wi-Fi to me. I think she thinks that I was high-strung because I did request a top-floor away from the highway which was really in the distance but I don't care to be near the main roads nor do I care for people above me. My coworker was also checking in and the gentleman that was checking him in said oh you had to ride with her my condolences... I did make an inside joke to my coworker which was completely an inside joke... so I didn't appreciate this man saying that. The room was comfy they did accommodate me to be on the top floor away from a lot of noise. The room was also clean and that's about it. read more

Check in easy, staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean at first sight, but rugs had debris, bathroom floor was grimy and left dark foot prints with wet feet. Worst was when I turned on the tub and hair came off the drain, tub was not clean! I was given cleaner per my request so I could be sure it was done correctly. Never received a call from management. Will not stay in a Holiday Inn express again. read more

I usually love HIE. The grounds here are well maintained, but our room was not. The walls were thin as well. We could hear everything going on next door. I asked the desk agent if she could change our shower curtain and a few minor things in the room. She said she would tell the maid, but the shower curtain still reeked of mildew. So I bought a can of Lysol. The breakfast spread was nice and the coffee was good. Otherwise I would not stay at this location again. read more

This Hotel is only 3 miles of of I90. Very Close to NY Fairgrounds. This is a newer hotel. Everything clean, new and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Call the hotel directly to book....you get a better price than on travel sites. Big Beautiful, Comfortable, Clean Room. Quiet Hotel. Great clean large bathrooms. Keurig Coffee makers in every room. Large Windows with a view. My husband and I travel all of the time and stay in hotels several times a month; we often stay at Holiday Inn Express because we know what to expect. However, I will have to stay this is one of the nicer, newer ones. If you need a place close to NY Fairgrounds...stay here. read more

Love this place. It was my second time here in 3 years working a booth for my organization at the Great State Fair. Comfy, clean, courteous ( I left a book with $110 bucks in it and it was delivered to me by the shuttle driver ) Can you say going above and beyond to keep a paying client happy.? Clean rooms, friendly staff, spacious common area in which to relax and enjoy the complimentary breakfast, which is better than many I've sampled. Apparently largely used by business travelers, my wife and I chose this HIE because of positive Yelp reviews (which were accurate), and because it is just minutes from just about any attraction you might want to experience in the Syracuse area. Cable system was upgraded during our stay, with multiple HBO options on the acceptably-sized and relatively new flat screens. One review noted the hotel is in an industrial park away from the nightlife, and this is true. As we wanted quiet at night we saw this as a huge plus, as was the abundant parking, the nicely stocked sundries store (16 oz sodas and bottled waters a buck each!) and the exceptionally clean bedding and bathrooms. We would stay here again anytime. Great value for the money. read more

They overbooked the hotel for our stay. The manager Christine called us and let us know there was a change. We thought it was going to be a huge problem, however Christine was kind and re-booked us in another non holiday inn brand hotel. She was very apologetic, and helpful. The other hotel (The Sherwood Inn) was on par or better in some respects to the Holiday Inn. I would give a 4.5 stars for service. Unfortunately 3 stars for not having a room, however another 4.5 stars for the good recovery. read more

If you're having trouble sleeping in hotels, this holiday inn has pretty decent ones. The bathroom is pretty big and so is the room. I'll definitely be looking at holiday inn more often for hotels and staying the night. No matter where I stay, the bed is most important, and here they definitely win at that. read more

This hotel is not far off I90 but have to take a cloverleaf and briefly go on a couple small country roads to get there. The contact free check-in was easy as I had just called ahead for a reservation and it was a slow Monday night. We saw only two other guests that as we got to our room. Everything looked spotless and shiny clean, and pretty new construction. We had a very comfy king bed with high quality sheets. Very quiet night. The room was spacious with microwave, fridge, and Keurig, Breakfast was included, with all packaged foods but decent brands. The one warm item was pancakes from a no-contact machine. Not fluffy, but warm and tasted fine. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low but adequate. The price was reasonable at $104 plus tax for $117 total. Could have gotten it for $87 on an unfamiliar website but wanted the option to change my reservation. Very clean and comfy for a good price! read more

This was one of the worst stays I have had in a hotel for the past few years and the worst HIE ever. From the business center printer not working, to the ice machines either being empty or flooding the floor around them start to finish was bad. Our room was half furnished and while I know they are changing things having a night stand and working light on my side of the bed would have been a good idea. (do you know what it is like searching for glasses on the floor in a pitch black room) and even in the middle of change having a spare pillow and blanket in the room shouldn't have been a big deal, just like someone answering the front desk phone at 3am shouldn't have been a problem but it was. This review would not have been written if when I took my problems to the manager she acted as if it mattered I got "what do you want me to do take something off?" No I want you to act like it was a mistake and not mismanagement. Even writing things down would have been a start. read more

This hotel is quiet, clean and has a wonderful staff. I like that it is not real close to the interstate. You really get a good night's sleep, because it is nice and quiet. The staff is very helpful and will print out directions to the stores and restaurants in the area. There is a nice pool and hot tub. The guest laundry is nice when you are traveling. The morning coffee and breakfast downstairs is complimentary. I would highly recommend this hotel. Monika, at the front desk was very helpful with directions. There is also a great Italian pizza place. We ordered some of their spaghetti dishes that were restaurant quality. read more

clean freindly hotel. they have hot breakfast. It is a little out of the way but well worth it. The indoor pool was nice suprise in the winter. They let me check in early which I thought was nice. They also have cookies in the evening with coffee and tea. I have stayed at other holiday inns in the past and this one is up to par. Great place to rest. I'm sure it's more hopping when the fairgrounds are active, but away from then, when I've stayed here, it's the ultimate in peace and quiet. Parking is easy and well lit. It's off the highway a bit and isolated in a desolate corporate park. Staff is friendly and the lobby and other common areas are inviting. Pool looks great, and the breakfast is well stocked and full of fresh, well prepared foods. Rooms are large, beds are firm and bedding is clean and comfy. It's not an exciting location with an urban heartbeat, but a fine place to keep a low profile and sleep deeply without distraction. Wifi is solid. Pricing is a bit high, considering it lacks local entertainment and dining options, but still a decent value. read more
