Let me start by saying this hotel is conveniently located to the airport and overall pretty nice looking. They need to improve on training staff about communication , etiquette and grooming. I am someone who worked in hospitality for quite a while usually the observations and I'm also an avid traveller for over 25 years.. 1: when I checked in (I try to stay brand loyal) the girl was nice, but she did not recognize my status, never offered me my amenity points or something to drink and her attire was extremely unacceptable . Who wears a bandana around her head to work? She was nice at all, but wrong and unprofessional for not recognising someone's status and offering them what they're entitled to is unacceptable. 2: I requested a late check out both days. The first day, I got in at 5 AM from work and the maids were banging on my door, despite the do not disturb sign on the outside, at 10 AM , 11 Ish and again at 11:30 noon and even after I went to the front desk to prepay my next night they still were knocking on the door at 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock. If this is a language thing they need to learn to speak English or at least understand what the green sign means do not come in the door .. there's a do not disturb sign on for a reason. I understand inclusivity, but to go to another country & work and not speak their language, is flat out disrespectful. I wasn't able to catch up on sleep . 3: I arranged for a late check out the next day as well at 1 o'clock . At 10:45 AM and 11 there was other maids who knocked on my door. Another Maid banging on the door and opening it and waking me up. Shortly around noon, another maid and then she says that the front desk is not communicating with them 3: I get on the elevator to leave and then there's a Maid there with her speakerphone on talking to her boyfriend I could hear her whole business ( I decided to capture this on video) 4: the gentleman at the front desk claims that there is no miscommunication that they knew, and he then made the claim that the woman who is in charge of the housekeeping doesn't look at the log every morning, so she's not communicating it to them so something needs to be done about their housekeeping, staff for sure . Completely inexcusable he also made the excuse for the maid who didn't speak English and decided to open my door while I was barely dressed. We purchased through Priceline a room for four people. The sofa bed had no mattress. We asked about a roll away but none were available. They told us we could use a mattress that was in the hallway. No linens were available so I ended up purchasing sheets, blankets and a pillow along with an air mattress at a local discount store. There were only two towels, one hand towel and three washcloths for four people. It took two requests to get bath towels. All other towels were in the was at 7:00 p.m.!!! I have been in contact with both Priceline and IHG. They agreed it was wrong but have done nothing to compensate us for the purchased linens or the cost of the room. This was not really my best experience but it worked for the night. I think it was overpriced for the quality of the stay and I've never had to pay extra for breakfast when booking at a Holiday Inn but in this one I did. The rooms looked more like old motel rooms but the beds were clean and in good shape. The tvs were difficult to turn on and one remote didn't work at all. I did not shower because the amount of filth was crazy. The doors did not close well or quietly. After a while there was a bleachy musty smell that we started to notice, probably from the pool there. I am a long standing IHG member, that being said I will only discuss the differences because I ultimately love most holiday inns and IHG overall. Nice check in, took a little bit to get some insights to what options were around and breakfast but got what was needed and super nice. Got in the room and it was incredibly stuffy/almost smelly but I could prop the window open while we went to get food to air it out so easy fix. Lol, it wasn't until we tried turning in to rest and watch some TV before bed and using their "channel guide" that I just started cracking up. The channel guide was straight numbers but the tv channel list were all like 3 channels per numbers with dashes. 36-1 36-3 36-3 and none of the channels lined up and there was no guide on the tv. So I call the front desk asking for some tips maybe a button or an input change idk ‍ lol she said the maintenance person just walked back and she'd ask. Cool love it. Comes back and says she'll send him up to make sure the tv works.... No no the tv works it's just trying to figure out the guide/channels if there are any tips because this guide given by you makes no sense.... "Well ma'am I can't do anything he'll be right up to get the TV working".... Nope, please don't, it's working, sorry I asked I'll figure it out Ultimately it's been meh, it's a hotel. If you're wondering... YES - not the nicest sidewalk but you CAN walk left from the front door down to the Applebees and Walmart. Super easy. NO - breakfast is not included but a $12 buffet. Frankly seeing the space and area I would rather pay $15 for a good breakfast taco than trust it but again this is just me going on my holiday inn and suites experience and it only being a paid "buffet" option. read more

We were traveling through Springfield and booked our room on Hotels.com on 7/7 at 1230 am. We arrived at the hotel around 1 am on 7/7. They refused to let us check in. We were told our check-in was booked for 7/7 at 300pm. We explained we just booked the room intending on an immediate check-in. We were forced to pay 140.00 to check-in despite the 120.00 we had already paid Hotels.com. We paid the fee because we were exhausted. I requested a refund of the 120.00 from Hotels.com and the manager, Eric Vincent declined the refund. I understand maintaining policies, but to not adjust a reservation due to confusion on check-in time and requiring the customer to pay the fee again is just poor customer service. Review of hotel: The hotel shows significant wear. The rooms were very clean, but the overall hotel has not been updated since early 1990. There is fake ivy hanging everywhere, giant 1990s torch lamps in the common area, and a parking lot that has seen much better days. The pool was cloudy and needed to be shocked. I'm very disappointed in the customer service, customer recovery, and maintenance of the hotel. There are other options in the area that I suggest you consider. read more

First & Last stay at this location. I've never had one bad experience from Holiday Inn and related hotels until now. The price for one night was outrageous especially seeing the room very outdated, dirty, not with the price. The first room I was put in didn't have the phone plugged in, it had a tv that didn't work nor did hotel management fix it. They put me in another room and it was all the way on the other side of the hotel. The photos I have added to this review is from the second room they put me in. This is not worth the price . Stains on the floor, cracks and Cox on the wall , rust and build up around the shower handle. No WiFi , Few channels. You'd think they would have better customer service especially since the two rooms I was put in was below Holiday Inn standards. That's something I'm sure off the company would agree with me on. Bring ear plugs and cleaning supplies if you stay here. When we arrived, we were sent to a room with an obnoxiously loud fan that was in disrepair. After calling the front desk, we were moved to a second room, where we discovered a dog collar, a dime, and a candy wrapper in one of the beds. We were again moved. This was a bad hotel, dirty gross mildew and mold all over. Broken lamp, broken toilet seat, painted over mold on ceiling. Service was rude. When I checked in the girl was upset because more people were coming and all she wanted to do was eat her ice cream. The parking lot was shady AF, asking for money. People hanging around, with kids this is not good. Beds looked like they were just thrown together and we weren't sure if they were even changed. There are plenty of other choices in Springfield I would choose another hotel. Dark ooze was coming out back of sink also almost forgot about that. I've had a nice stay, just passing through Springfield from my home in south Texas to my childhood region (eastern Iowa/northwest Illinois/northern Missouri) to visit my family around the 4th of July. This is a VERY old hotel, but it still does the job perfectly fine. I don't even understand why this hotel has so much hate. From my experience, I recall that I had a clean, comfortable room. There was not a bug, nor a stain in sight (some other hotels I've stayed at made me feel like going on safari). I've also felt quite safe while in the hotel. The shower had little pressure but the water was warm and plentiful; and the bed, although a little lumpy and firm, gave me a decent night's sleep. So, the room was a pass. I didn't order any food from the restaurant, not even breakfast, but the bar was open shortly after check-in, and I had a tasty cocktail while enjoying some friendly conversation with the bartender and a couple of other guests. The bar service was excellent. I didn't swim, nor use the gym all that much (I was only there for 1 night), but I did check out the pool area/fitness center, which seems a little dated. There was a leak in the fitness center, which could be a safety hazard, but the pool seemed like a nice place to swim or relax after a long day of sightseeing (or driving on the interstate). The atmosphere also felt a lot like home (even while away), and the staff is professional and courteous. The staff is excellent. In conclusion, this hotel could use a renovation, as it is pretty old, although I've read they're already working on it and, either way, it still does the job just fine. This hotel still lives up to the Holiday Inn brand, which from my experience, never fails. This is also why I'm a proud member of IHG Rewards. I also remember as a child, many years ago, staying in a similar hotel out in Joplin, but I regret the fact that the one in Joplin closed permanently and has been abandoned (even condemned) for about 5-6 years now. This hotel is the closest I can get to reliving that nice childhood memory. The nostalgia was intense (and I mean that in a good way)! From my judgment, on the BryceVenture Score, this hotel receives a grade of 9/10 (1 point was deducted for that leak in the fitness center). Nonetheless, I will be back the next time I pass through--or decide to stay in--the Springfield/Branson area. DO NOT STAY HERE!! So many better options. This place needs security bad! Other hotels in the area i've stayed at have gates and you have to use your hotel card to get into everything. NOT HERE. So many homeless people around the hotel and I WAS FOLLOWED IN BY A HOMELESS MAN. He was soliciting outside the hotel and he followed me in past the lobby, down the hall and to the elevator where I had to run off and hide and he eventually turned around and huffed off when he realized I wasn't gonna let him be alone in the elevator with me! Do not stay here if you are alone!!! During the multiple times I came and gone during my stay there have always been homeless people hanging around the front curb of the hotel. Management also would not let me and my brother check in because we were under 21. We told them we were here for military purposes and we NEEDED to get into our room. Already checked in just needed our key. Took multiple employees/managers and seemed like they couldn't make up their mind! Finally they decided to "show their respects" (their words) and give us a room, after a $50.00 fee for "incidentals". We are both adults and never had a problem anywhere else. We booked a room for the weekend. There was no notice that half of the parking lot is closed or that there is remodeling happening. Our first room, 528, had no refrigerator or microwave, smelled of cigarettes and the toilet wasn't attached to the floor. My husband asked that we be moved. Management was very rude about the request. We were moved to room 522. Still no microwave. When I went to hang our clothes, the shelf wasn't even attached to the wall. Supposedly, the 5th floor has been completed. I called corporate, who called the hotel manager, who was supposed to call me to "make it right." Two hours later, still no call. Maintenance was called and they are supposedly going to fix the closet. There's no convenient handicap parking with the parking lot half closed. There's no breakfast if you stay here. Not even a bowl of cereal. The rails are unvarnished, pictures are falling off of the walls and the wallpaper is coming off. And evidently, Management doesn't care if you are comfortable or inconvenienced, even though it's $150/night. Oh, and the bar? $9.50 for a shot and if you order it mixed, they try to make you pay for the mixers separately. Thankfully, that was taken off... Okay, first let me say we are spire elite members (meaning we only stay at holiday inn hotels) and I'm guessing this place was something in its hayday, but I just felt gross here! We will be spending a lot of time in Springfield with my husband's job and I usually come with him so this was my first choice because the posted pictures look amazing , but they must have been taken 30 years ago. The pool was so murky it looked like swamp water and the gym had no weights and a leaky roof with a puddle of water under the elliptical machine . Our room felt , hmmmmm how do I say kinda greasy I would lay a towel down just to sit on the couch . But the worst thing of all this was my first experience with bed bugs. I have been holding off posting this because they did agree to pay to have my clothes washed at a cleaners so I didn't have to bring them home with me, ( and I did appreciate that, that's why I gave them at least 2 stars ) But that being said there was still no protective cover in-between the mattress and the sheets and after I called them it took them hours to get me into another room. I hope this place gets a total rehab I can't believe the IHG hotel brand would ever let things get this bad in their name. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in some questionable hotels. First the service here is horrible. Front desk staff can't do anything because the hotel has no manager on duty. What kind of place runs a business with no one to handle issues that my arise? Our stay has been one big issue since the start. First when we arrived the room they gave us was not cleaned. We arrived 4 hours after check in too. They did give us another room, so that is good but the room should have been ready. The A/C in the building is horrible. The common areas are like very hot and humid. The rooms are not any better. Our A/C in our room didn't even work. It was set to 65 and never got cold. It was cooler outside and the temp outside was almost 90 degrees. The rooms don't even have refrigerator or microwaves. The owner ,at least that is who the front desk said it was, told his employees that we can't sit in a common area and eat. We are hear for a soccer tournament and the whole hotel is almost all soccer teams. We just wanted to hang out with our team and relax. Apparently that is not allowed. The "Owner" said we have to eat in our rooms or order from the bar. It like we are prisoner at this hotel. Only allowed to come out of our room to leave or if we spend money at the hotel bar. I would stay clear of this hotel and stay at one of the other nicer ones in the area that actually have free breakfast. This hotel charges $12 for a buffet that the same as the free breakfast hotels. read more

They say they have been cleaning better but there's mold on the shower curtains both layers. Dirty windows and dust on everything. From the time we walked through the door to the time we left I felt cared for in every way. MiKayla, Guest Services, greeted us with a smile and all the information we needed to know about our stay. Our rooms were clean and huge, 4th floor!!! The room had multiple lights and buttons to help not wake your partner when you are stumbling in the dark to find the restroom. After waking up with our TV alarm we walked downstairs. Their breakfast spread is impressive and versatile, for the person who has time to enjoy a full menu or a grab-and-go bag. Everything was very tasty! The eggs were fluffy and tasted like home cooked eggs, the biscuit and gravy was light and filling. I will definitely stay at a Holiday Inn again. Stayed here for a weekend. Lovely bar great for visiting with friends. Restaurant was perfect for breakfast and visiting. Plenty of spaces to hang out and talk in the lobby, and even outside. Newly remodeled. Personnel is awesome, from the front desk check in late night, to the tornado evacuation plan. Yes, we had rough weather, but they handled it very effieciently, and everyone was doing their best to make you comfortable and keep you informed, while you sheltered in the convention hall, which was the only area protected on 3 sides by being underground. read more

This hotel is in dire need of updating. While the staff was friendly on arrival, the entire hotel had worn carpet and peeling wallpaper. The room had stained carpet that looked like it really needed replacement, but hadn't been cleaned recently despite having fresh stains that looked like they would have cleaned up if they'd bothered to try. The worst was the smoke detector not attached to the wall, but hanging from the wires. The mattresses were ancient and while I slept fine, they looked terrible. The quality was well below par, especially for a price I would have expected to pay for a fully refurbed or new hotel. Decent property in a mess of an area. Let me start by saying I am also loyal to the brand as I have accumulated over 800k points within the IHG system. Here is what I found: 1. Decent physical plant albeit very dated. The buildout is similar to an embassy suite with the huge atrium core. 2. Large clean room. It was pretty dated and tattered. But clean/comfortable. 3. Wifi was fine. 4. Elevator was fine. Stairways were clean and well lit. 5. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. Made eye contact and were professional. All had a welcoming smile. 6. The public areas were a little scuffed up. 7. Good access to freeways and amenities outside the building. 8. The only issue I had was road construction. I am a platinum IHG member and stay in hotels on a weekly basis. I typically stay in Holiday Inn while traveling for work. This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. First room I was in had a leaking toilet so I moved to another room. That room also has a leaky toilet but much slower than the first so instead of packing up again I decided to live with it. There is no place to get food in the hotel which isn't a big deal but you should know before booking. The hotel is pretty dated carpet, color, furniture etc. my bed has a pretty big bow in it so I'm sure I'll be rolling toward the middle tonight. NO WIFI!!! They said they have WIFI but I have 4 different devices that won't connect to their WIFI right now. I stay in Holiday Inn all the time and connect to the WiFi all the time. It's not a me problem. To top it all off there isn't a bottle of water to be found in this place. All in all stay somewhere else unless you are just wanting to be a room with a TV. read more

Stayed here for one only for one night. The customer service is amazing! The front desk people were super nice and I was greeted every time I walked by. The hotel itself is pretty outdated unfortunately. The shower had cracked tiles and a weird water flow pattern (water streams were going in all sorts of directions) with no pressure. The carpet throughout the hotel was faded, stained, and wrinkly/lumpy. The TV in our room didn't work and when confronted we were offered a room change. We were only there the one night, so it wasn't needed. The service was very quick though! The whole process took about 15 min. Personally I didn't like the bed. Way to soft and squishy, no support. Nothing positive to say. Hotel being remodeled, we had room in black part, friends had room in red part, and we couldn't tell who's was remodeled. They were both poor. Bathrooms not updated, very used. Toilet seat loose. Rooms don't appear to be cleaned well, there is debris and change on our floors. Our friends had little dark hairs on their toilet. They don't come to your room at all because of COVID. So if you need anything you have to ask. Keys work about half the time, had to have them reprogrammed multiple times. There are kids running around, knocking on doors and then taking off, playing soccer in lobby, yelling in the lobby from floor to floor, and riding the elevators in massive groups..all while the parents are either no where to be seen or in the hotel bar. Not sure what the mattress was made of...felt like pieces of cinder block and cardboard. When we got home, anything that came into the hotel with us is still sitting out in the garage. May be the worst hotel in the chain. The TV's don't even work. Checked in and room was not clean, had male enhancement pills in the drawers. I am a platinum member of IHG and I am embarrassed. Oh and we woke up in the morning to find our car broken into. read more
