We're at the Tesla charging and we were hungry. I looked up this market and the reviews were great but what I wanted was a restaurant...unfortunately all restaurants are almost a mile away. Too far to walk this morning round trip. I booked an Uber...it was taking forever and eventually I got the message that drivers were BUSY try later. It's a SMALL TOWN. (:-) SOOOO Holiday Market DELI to the rescue. They make subs to order on several breads. It's a similar system to Subway EXCEPT HERE at Holiday they are NOT stingy with black olives and other goodies. They even have GOOD SPROUTS. We arrived at peak lunch and there were only 2 people ahead of us. OUR SANDWICHES WERE EXCELLENT and BIG. My husband ate all of his but I only had room for half. This was our first meal of the day and we were very hungry. Sandwiches come with free drinks. It was $18 for both of us. The market seems to deserve its great reviews. My compliments to management for hiring friendly employees and encouraging them to give off a HAPPY VIBE. Aisles are wide. It feels great in the store. It's clean. The whole market gives off a higher end market impression. Very pleasant. And some YUMMY GOODIES if you just need snacks. If management wanted to add one simple thing for us Tesla shoppers eating from the Deli, it would be a couple picnic tables with colorful umbrellas outside along the wall we walk back to the chargers. That would be pretty nice so we wouldn't need to eat in our cars. (:-) But even without it's an awesome Tesla charging stop. If you find this review useful please VOTE! read more

Quick stop for Tesla charging, snacks and restroom break. Cute store with lotsa interesting items... excellent customer service from cashier. I wish I got her name... Wed 5/31 9am. For a small town like Alturas, you'd expect the main grocery store in town to have high prices. And I am pleased to report that it is not the case at Holiday. Granted, things aren't going to be Walmart low prices, however, for a small town not bad at all. Bathrooms are extremely clean - so much so that we go out of the way to stop here between Reno and Klamath Falls. read more

Small-town grocery store with much more than the basics. Lots of upscale and organic stuff. This is the larger of the two grocery stores in town. The other one is good but Holiday Market is quite a bit bigger. Prices are not bad considering the location. read more

Stopped in Thursday 7/7 at 1pm to grab a Arizona Tea and a cup of ice. From the moment I walked in I was pleasantly greeted by Holiday employees walking passed me. All made eye contact with me and and they had a very positive Hello or if they could help me get to what I was looking for. I knew where I was headed to accomplish my purchase. I must have made contact with at least 10 employees doing their various tasks. All were polite and seemed very happy with their employer. Store is very clean and in order. To the management a Huge Thumbs Up!! Nice job! read more

The shopping experience at Holiday market is great. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They have a great organic produce section and lot of natural, healthy food choices throughout the store. I believe they are the only place in town that carries Kombucha. They also have a nice selection of wines. Their Organic meat selection is lacking. I have been unable to find any grass fed beef there. But to be fair, a lot of items in the store are by customer requested, maybe I should request grass fed beef next time I'm in the store :) Overall, I really like this store! read more

I was in the deli section Saturday October 2nd at around 3:20 and noticed again how unfriendly the girls are they act as if you are interrupting them. They have a cold icy stare. No sign of a smile or even a greeting. It's always the same two girls I'm almost afraid to order. I got home one time after buying some Asian chicken there ( I live about 23 miles away) when I opened the container there was a huge dead fly in with the food. I told the girl in the deli about the fly, all I got was the cold stare. She never apologized she looked at me like I was bothering her and never said a word. That was about a year. I was at the store again Saturday and they were still there as snotty as ever. I told the cashier about them and he was just as bad. The people on the floor were nice and friendly. read more

Moving from a big city it was such a joy to discover holiday market! The prices are very reasonable. The produce is better than any other place in town I've been. They have VEGAN food selections!!!! I was in town recently due to a fire and stopped by here to pick up a few things. The deli had already closed but we were craving a fountain drink and the employee, Jenny, whom was cleaning the deli, was more than happy to put the dispenser back on the Cherry Pepsi for us even though she had already cleaned it. She was very friendly and helpful and made our experience very pleasant here. They had a pretty good grocery selection for as small a town they are in. I don't think I'll ever be back up this way, but if I am I know where to go to get great service and all my grocery needs. read more

Instead, you have begun marking products from 300 miles away as "Local Product"s. Your "Local Product" tags are more meaningless than ever. Worse, it's now impractical to try to find a truly local product among all the false "Local Product" tags. These tags are an insult to our intelligence. I'm lowering my rating from 3 to 1. Great market, alwasy fresh produce with organic options, good wine selection including local/California wines, and a decent amount of spirits. I was disappointed in their lack of asian food products, but they still have a good amount for the small town. I'll drive over an hour from Lakeview, OR just to get their fresh produce. read more

They are OK but when I requested they carry a creamer that I would buy at least 4 bottles a week they said they didn't have shelf space. But, when you go into the store they have duplicate rows of the same flavor of creamer, regular, low fat, non fat, sugar free, of the same flavor, can't you take one of those off and carry my italian sweet cream? Because they won't carry it I drive to Safeway in Lakeview, OR and hour away every week just to purchase my creamer. I end up doing all of my shopping at Safeway and save a lot of money in the process just because Holiday foods won't carry my creamer "Italian Sweet Cream" by coffeemate. I even asked to purchase a case at a time and do a special order only, the answer was no. WHY, WHY, WHY, is it so hard to get my creamer, I can't start my day without my coffee with sweet cream! read more

We live in a big city and people seem to always in a hurry. Every year we travel down to Burning Man and stop at your store for groceries. We are always treated like family and all the employees are very friendly & helpful especially one lady in particular her name is Tracy. Very friendly lady. We travel a lot and a pet peeve of mine is that prices stated often include member discounts. We aren't going to get a membership for one stop. In the case of thus market, the young woman, in addition to being very personable gave us the discount which was not much, but meant a lot.
