Another day I arrived at 3:45 AM thinking I would be first, but someone had been there since 3:30 AM. Small sizes are especially difficult to get. If you line up before 8:00 AM, you'll generally have a better chance at Medium through XXL. 2. They may open before the posted time. Although the store lists a 10:00 AM opening, it has opened around 9:15 AM. 3. Use the next-day exchange option. If your preferred size is unavailable, buy an available size and return around 9:00 AM the following day to exchange it. Keep in mind that exchanges are only for swapping sizes. You cannot purchase additional items during that visit. And since Small sells out quickly, it may still be difficult to exchange into one. As many times…read moreas I have window shopped at Salvage Public at South Shore Market throughout the years, it wasn't until I saw Hōkūpa'a, Nāpali, and another staff (I hope you can forgive me for not asking for your name) at their pop-up location in Hilo. The Merrie Monarch vibes must have kicked in and I had to finally pop that cherry. I initially went with my hula family and used that time to soak everything in. The next day I went back alone to purchase a few items I couldn't stop thinking about. Both Nāpali and Hōkūpa'a hyped me up during my visit and all items I tried on was sold on the spot. Countless hugs and mahalo were exchanged during my encounter with them. Again, I had to go in a third time just to mahalo your (business) ʻohana during my trip to Hilo! Just about a week later I figured I would "window shop" again during my lunch break at South Shore Market and I was able to catch up with Hōkūpa'a. Then after some time of being educated about the items at the store I was sold again - resulting in me purchasing even more items than I did in Hilo! More hugs and mahalo were shared that day. One of the first things on my agenda, is to visit the shop and find the perfect suit. I always look forward to seeing what the current year will bring and have never been disappointed! Well, imagine my disappointment this year when I went over to the old location only to see the Pualani of past, gone! Yikes! Thanks to Google, I was overjoyed to see that the NEW location was just about to open up. My daily walk was adjusted to take me there! I arrived during the time they were getting the shop ready for opening day. Iwalani greeted me along with her husband Gordon. While this was the first time I had met them, I was invited in . I couldn't have been treated any better and was thrilled to be able to take a look around even though they hadn't officially opened! I received a first hand account of the history of the company in great detail. I was invited to the grand opening as well. I went to the the opening and had a blast. Even the conch shell sounding and blessing were very special. I still have and wear my first suits from 12 years ago and they still look fantastic. My favorite top is the "Sport Tie". It's great for my daily swim and the bikini bottoms never lose their shape. The quality, style and fantastic customer service is simply unparalleled. They have such a large selection of beautiful colors, styles and patterns that it can be hard to make your final selection. Iwalani has such a great eye for color and really was a great help when I needed to make a final decision on which suits to take home this trip. I've also fallen in love with the skirts and "yogini" tops. The material is so soft and comfortable.
