Otherwise this place is expensive but quality of items are top notch. I always say to splurge on good quality versus spend more on cheaper things to only have to replace them more often. I will say the last time I came into the store, it was quite annoying that a dog was barking quite a bit and then a comment from another customer or friend of the owner not sure. But I definitely ignored the rude remark. I just wanted to do my shopping in peace.

My second dream home would be another 3-story non-haunted Victorian Mansion with an airy porch with flowers all over the place, and the interior would be decorated with stuff from this store: Muse Kailua. I know non-haunted Victorian Mansions do not appear very oceany but who cares! I love the stuff in here and you could probably incorporate a lot of their stuff with your current decor. My current decor is shabby messiness with a hodge-podge of clutter, mess, papers strewn about, Halloween decorations out all-year-long, paper receipts piling up in boxes, dried hibiscus seed pods cluttering up the counter and a pile of (fake) skeletons on the living room floor. No, again I am not kidding. Aside from this foolish decor in my house, the stuff in here is the stuff I dream about: a clean, uncluttered home, airy windows with white billowy curtains, home smelling like fresh lemons and decor from Muse Kaiula: seashells, floral plates, tropical oceany goodness, whimsical lovely items and dream-like girlyness. I'd forgotten to pack a hat for this trip and might not have had a chance to buy one if I hadn't run across Mori by Art + Flea, after a meeting in the same building. The shop was very cute, with a sort of museum shop aesthetic: clean and colorful with lots of interesting merchandise, much of it made by local small businesses and artists. I didn't have time to do a full browse, but I definitely liked what I saw. There were a few baseball caps available, and I picked a flexible black one with a pink hibiscus patch sewn on the front. I wore it almost every day for the rest of my trip, from Hawaii to the Philippines. The cap made a nice souvenir, and I continue to get use out of it at home. I'm glad Mori appeared when it did. It's a great shop, definitely worth checking out if you're in Honolulu.

I really loved the simplicity of her jewelry and the unique Hawaiian inspiration in her pieces. They have a modern but classic feel to them. I consistently receive compliments every time I wear one of her pieces. She has wonderful customer service and her jewelry is always packaged well. Back in March my husband and I had a trip planned for Honolulu Hawaii and I realized her shop would be nearby. We were celebrating our 4th anniversary with the theme being fruit or floral. We thought making an appointment at the jewelry bar would be a fun experience for our trip so we could design a custom piece. I made the appointment online which was super easy and we headed to the shop the day of the appointment. Kristi was very helpful with guiding me in the design process. I had a rough idea of what colors and styles I liked. If you don't upon arrival she has pieces in the store you can look at for inspiration. She played around with a few options till we decided on one and then she got to work. It was so cool getting to see her put it together right in front of me and to chat about her upcoming nuptials. A few years ago the business was sold and moved into the McCully Moiliili area of Honolulu. The newer location is much more convenient for me. There is a lot of parking as it shares parking lot with multiple other businesses and business offices including Fujiyama Texas Hawaii Kushi-Katsu. This location is much smaller compared to the previous location in Kalihi. Still, you will find the nicest ladies happy to provide superior service. One can shop from the clothing in store OR choose the materials and style desired and have something created for you. This week when I picked up my dress I could see the ladies busy making dresses for the young ladies graduating from Iolani School. Soon it will be for Hawaii's festivities for May's lei day. Then there are proms and graduations... I was told that their off the hangar collections will probably not get fuller until June or July. I am looking forward to returning then! For men I'm not too sure. To get a better picture of what fabrics they have the sales lady took us to the fabric room. Oh my I was in heaven. From ceiling to floor, rows and rows of fabric in every color you can imagine. We were looking for a white/off white color fabric. The sales lady busted out all these rolls to choose from. Then we narrowed it down to the specific print we liked. And presto we got our fabric for the shirt. She even cut us a sample fabric to match the design and color with any other outfits. I think my sister is planning to get a matching muumuu to change into after the ceremony. Then they have a matching outfit to where in the future! The staff was very helpful. Very willing to help meet our needs. Makes a bride to be feel very special for their special day.
