I was confused and asked where did that come from because I was by myself. The employee just kept on repeating " I am buying for that guy?" To this day, I am not sure who that guy even is. I was the only Asian at the store at the time. I contacted their customer service and I was told the district manager would get back to me. But she never did to this day, it's been 3 weeks. However, Maverik replied to every review on the review sites except mine, and I am the only Asian among those reviews. Their extended discrimination against me by unwilling to resolve this situation has been causing me depression and migraines.

They haven't spent the last year since my original review refurbishing the place. It still squats there on State Street. But you can't beat the Redbox/Carwash comobo for convenience. On a recent late night we arrived home from a long road trip and a day of familial nuptuals and needed to stop off to buy a loaf of bread. Sure as shootin' they we got the last loaf of butter-top what goodness from the shelf. Granted, it was priced (per ounce) the same as raw tungsten ore, but they had it there. Oh, and I can neither confirm nor deny my gas station yelping quest. Although I do find it handy to read gas station reviews when I'm out looking for a place to fill up, so any kind of love I can pay forward to the petroleum gods, I certainly do.

They are friendly and seem to like that you are there. It's hard to find at other convenience stores. They know my name made sure I got their card so I could start saving immediately and they let you make your own drinks. I'm kind of fussy about that. It's always clean and well stocked. Jackson's is in a joint venture with Chevron, and their fuel prices are in line with those in the area. So Jackson's is great if you want more than just gas on your next fuel up.

Although I've decided that the McDiet Coke from McDonald's is the best, the Diet Coke at Hart's is close second. I have this very specific blend of my Coke cocktail, and it comes out perfect at this Harts. Have you noticed a lot of gas stations don't have very good syrup to put in their fountain drinks? You squirt in some vanilla syrup, and it's just sticky brown water? Or the cherry syrup is factory rejected cough syrup? Not at Hart's! The cups have cute hearts printed on them, and the lid is red - it's just a little detail but it makes my 52oz vats of carbonated goodness a little happier. The donuts there are also great - double chocolate Dunford Donuts that are so fresh, the icing is still soft and gooey. As I walk up to the register, I catch up on the morning gossip with the sweet and chatty ladies up front. They're so friendly, and I think they've given me a personal compliment every time I come to the register. I think I might be as addicted to that attention as the drink I'm purchasing. My main complaint about Hart's is the location and parking. The gas pumps are on the diagonal, and in the mornings the parking lot is a mad mess of cars and delivery trucks. It can be tough to get back onto westbound 7200 South to the freeway.

On the positive, there are plenty of gas pumps and it's so conveniently located on the west side of I-15 that you really can hop on and hop off. But I don't love that you have to enter from 700 West--there's no driveway from 7200 S. The snack area and other road essentials is more spacious than your typical gas station, so stretch out and grab your jerky, fill your mug, and look at the priceless tchotchke for sale. Regarding the car wash--I dunno if they give one to everyone, or what. Clearly they're trying to upsell you on a more expensive one, but when I went there today I got a "you've earned a free car wash you can upgrade" just after swiping my card. I opted not to swipe but still got my carwash code on the receipt. So we'll see what happens. I will redeem at the Holiday just a few blocks away at the corner of 7500 S and State Street.
