"They're really nice." - my 3 year old after they told him he can have as many peppermints as he likes. Let's start out with the service: my pizza was ready but they forgot to cook my meatballs. What did they do? They acknowledged the mistake and corrected it by showering me with free cannoli and garlic knots! What a move! The staff were friendly and professional. Food: this is New York style thin crust pizza and holy moly the quality of the ingredients is apparent in every bite! The crust is thin and has phenomenal flavor. The triple play pizza was full of bold pepperoni flavor with hints of basil and pesto. The cheese pizza was the perfect balance between cheese, sauce, crust and the kids loved it. The meatballs were large (there were 3), had excellent flavor, and came in a beautifully bright sauce. The garlic knots were covered in real garlic and Parmesan and very tasty. The tiramisu was absolutely amazing and the best I've had in quite sometime. The cannoli were authentically delicious and actually had a real amaretto cherry on top. Finally, the ambiance is just a clean restaurant that's geared towards take out. There's a few tables for those who want to grab a quick meal. It does look like the patio would be nice to hang out on for a lunch outside. I wish the owners and the crew every bit of success! Let's do our part to support these great folks. Our friend posted on Facebook that she liked this place, so we drove out from Lehi to try it. I bought a whole Frankie's Combo to share and a slice of cheese pizza for my wife. She loved her slice, and we both loved the Frankie's Combo. We would both describe it as New York style pizza. Everything about it was perfect - the crust the sauce, the toppings. I happen to be back in the area a couple days later and I stopped in and got a slice of something called Triple Play (I think), which was pepperoni, basil, and pesto I believe. That was great too. It's a small place but has a few tables for dining in, which we wanna do next time. They're on 5900 south just a half block west of State Street on the north side of the street. They don't have their big sign up yet, but there's a sign on the side of the building - it's easy enough to find. We highly recommended! read more

Frankie's Pizza and Pasta opened in Murray yesterday and this east-coast pizza snob may have found her new favorite in SLCo. The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce perfectly seasoned, the pepperoni plentiful, and there was no need to dab with a paper towel! We also ordered the lasagna and it was DUHLISH. While I prefer ricotta over béchamel, the gravy, fresh tomatoes, and other seasonings were really on point There are 4 tables inside and a few outside, so takeout is probably a safer bet. A new pizza place in Murray by my house, I must try it! My key item was needing a gluten free crust and they delivered. I got one of their 10" gluten free "Frankie Combos" and it was incredible. I really enjoyed the pie and ordered a regular one for my wife the following day. She loved it too and she would know, shes 100% Italian. Its a welcome addition to the area and food is great too. We only got some slices to try a bit of what was available since we're from out of town and wouldn't be back to try others. For slices that have been sitting out they were amazing. They reheated them some before giving them back to us. The sausage on the pizza is phenomenal. We got take out for a group- including a half pep/cheese, The Maddie, sausage and peppers pasta, mushroom ragu, and the garlic knots. Absolutely 10/10 across the board- except the garlic knots but that could have been due to take out vs dine-in. The prices were totally fair and the quality & flavor was exceptional. Great food! Pizza by the slice ready to go or you can order a whole pie. Friendly service at this super casual place where you order at the counter. Small with just two 4-tops inside and a few more tables on the patio. Absolutely loved the pizza crust, it was thin with a just right crispiness that we thought was perfect. We tried slices of the Maddie, the Lillyrita, and the Triple Play. My fave was the Lillyrita (we went back up to the counter to get a second slice), but all of them were good. We also ordered the mafaldine bolognese and it was delectable with a hearty portion size. The mafaldine was perfectly al dente and the sauce was so flavorful. Loved it. The salads are premade and ready to grab from the self serve fridge. They were clearly marked with the prepared date (today) and the romaine was crisp and fresh. There are also some grocery items available to purchase like bags of their pasta, garlic oil, anchovy paste, etc. I'm planning to come back with my adult kids for Pizza and Painting on the Patio. We pride ourselves on finding the best pizza spots and Frankie's did not disappoint! We ordered the pepperoni and the combo. When we went in we were hoping to sit down and eat our pizza there but unfortunately there isn't really anywhere for a family of 4 to sit so we took our pizzas home. Although this was the biggest (and only drawback), the pizza definitely made up for this! The crust- perfection! The flavor- amazing! The homemade ranch we ordered to dip our pizza in was even delicious! We met the owner who was so welcoming, offering us a free drink while we waited. We have been back at least 3 times since and sent our friends too. I fear they might get really busy because the pizza is so good!! This has quickly become our weekly pizza place! read more

They got potential..... Let me start with the meatballs, I am used to a Pizza Rock meatball that's truly delicious and simmered in the sauce. I ordered these because they stated "Housemade meatballs, slowly simmeredin ourpomodoro, topped with Romano and mozzarella, garlic knots" I was heartbroken when I saw the tote of balls come from the fridge and the ball get dropped into the pasta water to be warmed, then tossed in sauce and dressed with cheese and basil. When I did get home and try them, it was instant regret at the taste of disappointment i was tasting after my 45 minute wait. While waiting I was then taken back by the guy making tiramisu and dipping the lady fingers in the espresso and then placing in the trays to be covered in the ricotta cream...... problem here was no gloves on his hands, he went straight from cooking pasta and handling raw eggs to making dessert without washing hands or gloving up. Extremely concerning. Maybe the owner should be focused on helping instead of standing on the patio fishing for compliments on his place. Oh and lastly...... can we get the people some foil sheets? I will buy the first box if needed, but in 45 minutes of waiting I got to see a lot of people covering food with a second paper plate, this isn't a pot luck and we are trying to carry out leftovers, we want to keep our slice warm as we go.
