    Nice Park.. so green
    Charley C.

What a well-manicured and well taken care of outside area in the park. Found it to be beautiful and thought I'd go there park the car take a nap and go to the bathroom. The toilet didn't need a little work as it appears to be clogged but that's a minor issue that will be repaired I'm sure in due time. Anyway I napped well and the park is beautiful and I'd stop again anytime

This is my favorite park in Carlsbad. I love their playground equipment. My 22 month old roams around a lot but doesn't run in the street (I'm just lucky in that way, I guess.) Its nice that they have the squishy material under the smaller kids play equipment but it would be even better if they had it under both. I also love the big trees here. They just repainted the benches too. The bathrooms are always clean as well.

It's a nice park in general. Some tall trees for shades, nice green lawn to run on, and jungle gym facilities. However, there is no fencing around the jungle gym while the park is surrounded by two streets in close proximity. Parents with young toddlers should keep a close eye on them.

I like going to his park because it has all elements of a park one would want. It's big with tons of grass, big trees and covered areas with picnic tables. it has a large playground with two sets of swings ( one for younger age and one for older) and everything is well kept and clean. Plenty of parking, trash cans everywhere if needed, and always friendly people there! The ice cream truck stops by alot which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you are. The only negative I'd say is its adjacent to a pretty busy road alot of cars go fast on and right next to that is the freeway so its loud and busy

Great outdoor park next to the freeway. With swings for babies. They also have a library next door - great to change the baby!

This event was well received by the community...more than 30 people (mixed age groups) showed up to volunteer. It was AWESOME!! This beauuutiful 42-acre park contains the largest public tennis complex in the city (10 tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts), basketball court, baseball/softball fields, a multi-sport turf arena, alongside a modern playground, designated dog park area, and shaded picnic areas. Major pluses are restrooms, drinking fountains, and free parking. I definitely recommend this green space and family-friendly park to the Yelp Community :-)

The few times I've been here has been enjoyable and everyone (including dogs) have been very amicable. The dog park is very well kept and like how they have some little obstacles courses for the dogs. The pickleball courts are also very nice but there are some areas that have been worn out, mostly behind the baseline. But nice seating area and efficient paddle system to rotate people in and out. I only wish it was closer to me.

I will say, however, that this place is so big that you can very easily lose track of your kids. There were a few times on our last visit where I was scanning the playground for a minute or two trying to find one of my kids after looking after another one for a bit. But don't worry. There really is only one in and out so you don't have to worry about kids wandering off if you are around that bottleneck point. This is a great attraction that I hope the park never gets rid of. It offers kids a space to run around & just goof off and be kids while also blowing off steam. The only point of improvement I can think of if maybe offer some more (shaded) seating for parents. On hot days that would be greatly appreciated.

He remembered it very well from our past visits. It is a second story playground and it is big enough for adults to shadow your littles if needed. On this day it looked as though an employee was monitoring at the top. I'm not sure if it was because it was near closing time or they are there for the safety of the little ones. There is a short wall that you could sit on to watch your kids from afar, This grand playground is great for the kids to burn some energy that's for sure! The kids have fun running place to place it makes me want to join them. If you haven't visit this playground it is a must. P.S. Grab some Apple Fries beforehand from the stand adjacent to the playground. Great snacking as you watch the play.

We had an extremely disappointing experience at our son's very first swim lesson…read more When we arrived, the front desk employee was on a personal phone call. We waited until she finished and told her we were there for our first swim class. Instead of checking us in or explaining where to go, she simply pointed toward the outdoor pool area and told us to "go ask a lifeguard." This is a large facility with multiple pools and lessons happening at the same time. Since we'd never been there before, we wandered around trying to figure out where our instructor was. A lifeguard pointed us to another pool, but there was still no one directing us. We eventually had to interrupt an instructor to ask if he knew where we should be. At that point, the instructor asked for our son's name, looked at the child he was currently teaching, and realized he was teaching the wrong student. His response was that because the other family had arrived first, he would just teach both children together. We had prepaid for a private lesson specifically because our son has never had swim lessons before. Sharing the lesson with another child was not what we paid for or expected. We ultimately requested a refund and left without our son ever having his first lesson. Everyone can make mistakes, but this experience reflected a lack of organization from start to finish. There was no check-in process, no guidance for first-time families, and no clear communication about instructor assignments. For a business teaching young children around water, I expected much better organization and professionalism.
