    12 lighted pickelball courts

12 lighted new courts. Many players to play with. Courts for beginners, intermediate, and advanced plus challenge courts. Lights are bright and court surface is soft. Balls do skid a little but otherwise nice courts and lights. Also ample parking.

I didn't expect much when our USTA tennis league match was scheduled at a public court at Brengle Terrence Park. All four courts were recently resurfaced and are in great condition. There are 12 nice pickleball courts to keep up with the pickleball craze. They also have a softball field and a recreation center for this Vista community to enjoy,

Wonderful park that I discovered this afternoon while in Vista. Lots of different spaces, so you can do sports, play, chill, or have a fabulous picnic with me:). Very pleasant with the sun and the breeze. I like the America metal sculpture with quotes from presidents or politicians. Some picnic tables here and there, plus bathrooms. Free parking. Will explore more next time.

Playground area and a bit of the volleyball court (bring your net).

This is a very clean park. Lots of room, lots of amenities. Clean bathrooms, large playground area, volleyball court. Easy access, medium amount of parking (be kind and carpool if possible). Excellent for large groups.

Great place for disc golf! You will get a great mix of terrain and obstacles! We did get lost at times but luckily some regulars led the way.

Brengle Terrace park is a large park in the Vista area. Plenty of areas to walk around, relax, and playgrounds for the kids, and there are also fields for sports. This year it was hosting a fireworks display, 1 of the few in the San Diego area. I didn't get a ticket but I got very close and got some pictures. Pre covid-19 the park has events at the moonlight amphitheater which is at the park. There are also various events hosted by the park throughout the year. Definitely one of the larger and nicer parks in Vista.

They have a volleyball program and it's really really good for beginners. All the coaches are really nice. They're all parents though.

Both are padded areas including the swing section. You have a decent sized sand area located next to the older kids structure. There are plenty of picnic tables spread throughout the park. Some of them are near trees too for shade. I like that the tables are placed near the play area so that you can keep a close eye on your little ones. There is a large basketball area (one backboard only) adjacent to the parking lot. Sometimes you will find a workout group exercising in this area. Its a great spot for young scooter/bike users when the court is not being used. But, there is also a great paved sidewalk within the park for that too. There is a portion to be cautious about, and that's the sidewalk along the main street. There is a fence on that side, but that only separates the grassy area within the park and the sidewalk. I've been to the restroom only once and it was clean and maintained. The park is well kept, and the grassy areas are maintained as well. Looks like they have been working in some other grass areas that is struggling a bit. Parking could be an issue during the summer months.

The reason it received 4 stars instead of 5 is because there's only shade over the big kid play structure. Thankfully, both my kids want to play here, but man..it can get hot!

I will say, however, that this place is so big that you can very easily lose track of your kids. There were a few times on our last visit where I was scanning the playground for a minute or two trying to find one of my kids after looking after another one for a bit. But don't worry. There really is only one in and out so you don't have to worry about kids wandering off if you are around that bottleneck point. This is a great attraction that I hope the park never gets rid of. It offers kids a space to run around & just goof off and be kids while also blowing off steam. The only point of improvement I can think of if maybe offer some more (shaded) seating for parents. On hot days that would be greatly appreciated.

He remembered it very well from our past visits. It is a second story playground and it is big enough for adults to shadow your littles if needed. On this day it looked as though an employee was monitoring at the top. I'm not sure if it was because it was near closing time or they are there for the safety of the little ones. There is a short wall that you could sit on to watch your kids from afar, This grand playground is great for the kids to burn some energy that's for sure! The kids have fun running place to place it makes me want to join them. If you haven't visit this playground it is a must. P.S. Grab some Apple Fries beforehand from the stand adjacent to the playground. Great snacking as you watch the play.
