I was stressed trying to find someone who could work on my knots and relieve the pain. Yelp has always helped find a great resource in the past and this was no exception. I found Claudia here on Yelp and she was a total blessing. Her studio is comfortable and clean. I explained what my body had been going through and she quickly threw out some suggestions as she started to get to work. She found some trouble spots right away and really worked on them. It was sort of that pleasurable pain that comes with muscle tissue. As it's worked on, it can be a bit painful. However, after it is worked on, it feels 110% better. That was truly the case here. I mentioned that if she found additional spots to kneed out, to please keep going. She certainly found and kept going! Definitely longer than your usual session, but OH SO WORTH IT! Nothing felt rushed with her work. I carry all my stress between my shoulder blades and while most massage therapists I've seen will play around there for a bit and then move on after that body parts time is up, she really took the time to get in there and work my knots. Very very nice caring woman who puts you at ease and relaxed the minute you walk in there. I received a massage from Chandra McAtee and literally had the absolute worst experience of my…read morelife. I would never recommend her to anyone. This is the last thing you expect when trying to take time relax. I was a FIRST time client and initially I purchased the massage package on her flyer which stated exactly this: 30 min X5 $150 ($30/massage...reg $50). I saw Chandra for the first time and used up 2 of those 30 min massages for a total of one hour on my first visit. I wrote her a check for $160 in which she accepted and cashed. When I went to rebook my next appointment Chandra stated that she misprinted her ad and that I owe her $50 more and would not even let me proceed with booking my next appointment. I asked her to honor the price that she had printed as that would be the professional thing to do. I do not see how this would even make sense that it is a misprint when the ad reads 30 min X5 $150 ($30/massage...reg $50). It pretty much states TWICE that each 30 min would be $30. I informed her that I would not have purchased this package if it was $50 more. I asked that if she was not going to honor her "misprint" that she would at least honor that price for the massage that I already received. I asked to receive a partial refund for what would have been the 3 massages that I would have had remaining. I think it is only fair that Chandra charges me $60 for that first one hour total that I received and refunds me the rest I paid for the remainder of the package I originally purchased. So since I paid $160 I would like $100 of my money back. Needless to say Chandra refused. I told Chandra that it does not seem like we are a good fit and she became extremely hostile towards me. Now Chandra is refusing to give me the proper money back for the services that I paid for. She has horrible customer service and is attempting to steal my money! This has been very stressful and I would hate to see this happen to anybody else. I have a 10 month baby needs my full attention and she is robbing my family of a great deal of time trying to deal with this. On top of that when I received a massage from Chandra she continued to want to carry on conversation during my massage. I personally like to relax my mind and focus on my breathing during a massage so I politely informed Chandra that I do not normally like to talk during my massages. She explained that "it is part of the therapy" for her and continued on. She did not respect my wishes. So also if you enjoy a quiet & relaxing massage she is not a good fit.
