I am very very upset with this place. I went in on a Tuesday to get my suit pants taken in. At the end of the fitting the guy told me the pants would be ready to pick up on Friday, I asked if I could pick them up on Saturday since I work late on Friday and he said that would be fine since they're open until 6 on Saturday. I came on Saturday to find the shop closed!! Now I don't have my suit to wear tomorrow because the guy blatantly lied to me about them being open on Saturday. I don't care how good the job is I will never come back because of the terrible customer service. read more

Brought in a pair of pants to get hemmed and taken in slightly and a backpack strap to be fixed. They charged, what I thought, was a good, fair price. Unfortunately when I went to pick them up, they said they forgot to include the price of tapering the jeans and added an extra $20 on top of what I already paid. Not super stoked about that. They did a good job but I'm not sure I will go back. read more

Elizabeth is seriously the best! David's Bridal told me they could re-build the top of my dress to have sleeves before I bought the dress. Once the dress came in, they told me that it would cost $500 and that they couldn't actually re-build the dress because they couldn't alter the designer's original intention and instead could just add on to what was already there - but I didn't want it to be obvious that I'd had it altered so I left and stumbled into Holladay when Elizabeth was in. She was so kind and helpful and assured me that they could do exactly what I wanted, for only $300. It looked like it was never altered - she seriously did such an amazing job. I've gone back several times for smaller alterations and she's always had them perfectly done and on time. read more

I was told by friends to come here to have my wedding dress altered. Pros: My dress turned out wonderfully. I had a deadline that I needed to have my dress finished by and Elizabeth made sure it was done in time. She was really easy to work with and would even stay late sometimes and text me to tell me it was ready. I was just down the street and could go in for my fittings and to pick it up. This dress was my mom's dress and I needed to have the sleeves changed. For this I needed lace added and they found a perfect matching lace to add to my sleeves. They also covered up or fixed any and all blemishes we could find in the material (which was necessary because it had a few stains and tares from being old). They were also very patient as I was extremely picky and had the waist changed perfectly to what I wanted. Elizabeth had a great solution for the neckline of my dress which needed to be brought up. She added fabric there and you could not even tell it was added or not made that way. Cons: One of the women who was there when I first came in and was helping me, was somewhat rude to me. A few of the concerns I brought up, she briskly dismissed or told me my idea wouldn't look good. It was kind of a big downer since this was my wedding dress fitting... When we left, my sister in-law also said she was rude and asked if I wanted to take my dress somewhere else. Although I had this negative experience with one of the employees, I am really glad I stuck with them. Honestly, with all the work my dress needed (which do not fit into ordinary/typical wedding dress alterations) I don't think anyone else could have done a better job. My dress turned out better than I could have imagined. Elizabeth is very talented and sooo nice. If you have your dress altered here you are in good hands. Just ask for Elizabeth! read more

So so so so great! My wedding dress was ruined by a friend of a friend who was supposed to be a great seamstress. I had bought it off of eBay because it was last years model (J Crew silk dress) and cheaper. She was so great! Way cheaper than the person who butchered my dress and much more professional. She gave me updates all the time and worked miracles! I recommend her place to anyone that needs alterations done. read more

When I first drove up to the store front I was a little skeptical because it's an older, less glamorous looking store. But I couldn't have been more surprised. The job was done in a very friendly, professional, timely, cost effective way and the quality of the alteration was beyond reproach. Elizabeth is AMAZING! She saved my wedding dress. I ordered my dress from Etsy (because that's ALWAYS the best idea for important things like your wedding) and, well, let's just say that snow beast wearing a sack is a pretty accurate description of the outcome. I took it in to Elizabeth and she saw the mess and took pity on me. She was able to fix it in a timely manner and it was VERY affordable. She is incredibly nice and loves what she does. Excellent work and customer service here! I had a quilt altered along with some other goods, but when I came to pick everything up, the quilt hadn't been done. It seems they had just forgotten about it? I was a bit frustrated. I came back a week later to pick up the quilt and was hit with sticker shock. The associate who'd initially helped me wasn't the best communicator. No matter - Elizabeth was understanding and made things right. I'll continue supporting this local business! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Terrible service and ruined my clothes after having them for 6 weeks. $230 pair of jeans that she gave back to me with the hem cut off (too short) and said she couldn't fix it. She also gave me back 3 dresses that were unfinished, she had cut out the lining of one, and didn't replace it. Elizabeth will talk about herself the whole time you're there, then promise over and over over the phone that your clothes will be done, only to not ever actually complete them. I cannot for the life of me understand how she is still in business. Save yourself the time and money and DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Elizabeth hemmed my wedding dress and also created a bustle for the dress. Both the hemming and the bustle turned out beautifully and the bustle even looked like it had been part of the dress from the very beginning! You could not even tell that it was "altered." Elizabeth was very friendly and had the dress done on time. She gave me advice about how to hang my wedding dress so it would stay nicer for a longer period of time. My fiance also got his suit and wedding shirt tailored by Elizabeth and we had the same great experience. I will be coming back to her for all my tailoring needs. read more

I went to Holladay alterations to alter my wedding dress. I intentionally ordered a dress that was just my size and as well as the dress in a size up. I took both dresses to Holladay Furs & Alterations and asked which dress would be easier to alter. Elizabeth decided that the larger dress would be easier to alter. When I went back I was helped by a different woman who was in a rush. When I pointed out that the dress was still too big in the shoulders and bust, she told me I would just have to pull it down as I wore it. Not only did I receive an ill fitting dress but I was charged considerably more than I had been quoted in the first visit. I went home upset and unsatisfied. After I calmed down my mother in law and I went back the next day and explained how I was far from satisfied with the service. Elizabeth apologized for her employee, immediately noticed what had been done wrong in the alteration of the dress and promised to fix it. I went back to pick up the dress. Elizabeth was not there when I went to pick up the dress and when I tried it on it was what I wanted, at least on the outside. (I even took a gift card and card to thank Elizabeth for fixing her mistake.) Unfortunately when I got home I looked closely at the dress and it had been cut and not finished on the inside of the dress. There were holes inside the dress because it had not been finished. The sleeves that had been added were falling off only after me trying it on, because they were not sewn on securely. We gave up on Holiday alterations doing the right thing and my mother-in law and her friend spent hours fixing the sleeves on my dress. read more

I got a suit for a great price and planned to get it tailored. They were rushing to take my measurements and the work was REALLY poor quality. The hem on the pants came undone within about one month and a hole ripped in the pants where they had sewn it together after about 6 months. The price was good and the speed was good, but overall I DO NOT recommend Holladay. Low quality work. read more

So impressed with Elizabeth and so happy with her work. I decided last minute to have a bustle put on my wedding dress. Another, larger company quoted me $60 and it would be 4 weeks before my dress was ready. Elizabeth had my dress ready in less than 24 hours and at a quarter of the price!
