Went to the grand opening of Holland Farms in Manlius. And we were so glad we stopped by. The line was out the door. They have a bakery, coffee bar and deli counter. You can get coffee drinks, sandwiches, salads, cakes, half moons, donuts and more. We ordered a blueberry donut, and half moons. Other people were ordering drinks, baked goods, and lunch specials. They have daily specials at the deli counter; today is Friday and the special was Mac and cheese. This place is conveniently located in the village of Manlius and has plenty of parking. I can't wait to come back here to try more of their baked goods. The half moons were delicious and fresh. They opened 2 days ago and they're only using their kitchen in Utica to bake products. So they had sold out of a lot of items when we arrived. It was still amazing and very fresh. We'll definitely be back! read more

Best half moons I've ever had. The couple times I've been there the service has been very fast so don't be intimidated by the number of patrons in the shop or how full the parking lot is, most are milling about deciding what to order. Next time I'll have to try something from the deli read more

Villas Farms is a great addition to the FM area and fits a need here for a nice Italian bakery / food spot. I had enjoyed Holland Farms offering in their Utica-area bakery and was excited to learn of their Manlius spot. They did a very nice job of redesigning the inside space to fit their needs with lots of counter space to handle multiple customers and plenty of food displays to show off their soups, baked treats, and specials. So far I've had their donuts, Italian bread, rolls, cookies, and half moons. All are solid. Prices are reasonable. I have yet to try some of their soups or sandwiches but those are next on the list. Or maybe I should try the tomato pie? Riggies? Well, one thing is for sure - it's nice to have these tough decisions so close to home. read more

Great pastries, the wraps and subs are also great, and I tried the Mac salad and chilli they were also both good. Staff is polite and tentative. It's been both busy and crowded and slow and steady. Good atmosphere, simple store. We've been several times and will return. read more

Frequent here on a Sunday afternoon. Typically get chicken salad or similar from the deli. Have also tried quite a few of their baked goodies (cheesecake, cannolis, jelly donughts, half moon, loaf of bread). Tons of things I haven't tried yet. Everything has been good or excellent. I have been waiting for this to open for what felt like ages. It was def worth the wait. I only stuck with chocolate chip cookies and half moons today although they have plenty more to offer. They also have a deli, soup, and some limited meals. The baked goods were amazing. The cookie was the perfect balance of soft and chewy yet crisp. The half moon base was spongy and moist with the perfect ratio of frosting. The frosting wasn't too sweet, just the right amount. They had ran out of vanilla half moon cookies and I'm not normally a chocolate fan, but I didn't even mind because it was so good. I need to go back to try a donut and their more savory items. Service was fine. It was a bit hectic and disorganized in there, but that's to be expected given that they just opened and are very popular. read more

In the area and had to check this new place out. Had lunch and ordered Mac and cheese and slice of tomato pie. I was disappointed that they didn't have seating so had to eat in the car. It is a very busy place on Friday afternoon but was waited in pretty fast. The place is split into the bakery on the right side and the deli on the left. The Mac and cheese was creamy and had a nice blend of cheeses. The tomato pie wasn't as good as I've had in some of the Utica bakeries but it was ok. The bakery had many tempting deserts. So glad they've opened a location closer to home. They have arguable the best half moon cookies. Went today, was in and out in 5 minutes with a dozen cookies and a coffee very fast and efficient. Super friendly staff and it seems like they've got it down already. Can't wait to go back and get some tomato pie! read more

I braved a line on a Sunday morning that was out the door and am so glad I did! I am familiar with Holland Farms from working in Rome and having people bring goodies from there to parties. I picked up a small tomato pie, which had about two dozen pieces. I also picked up a half dozen half moon cookies. I've never had half moon cookies this good... 10 out of 10! But turnover is great, and so everything is fresh. The cookie is large, airy, and has the perfect amount of icing. I defy anyone to show me to a better half moon. Tomato pie is well, it's tomato pie. It's nice to have once in a while, but I wouldn't drive out there just for that. There were a variety of half Moon cookies, including one topped with coconut and another with raspberry and coconut. There were cupcakes, lunch items, and a coffee bar. I know I will be stopping anytime I am in the area. Unlike most bakeries, it is open seven days a week. read more
