Very cute, rustic ambiance. Very friendly service. They take reservations if you have a hankering for one of their alcove tables. Had the cranberry salad with grilled chicken and their homemade poppyseed dressing . It was very good. I'd get an appetizer, dessert or a side though cause I was still a little hungry when I left. read more

Stumbled on this tiny place by accident and man am I glad I did! The moment we entered I was greeted by one of the servers and seated at my table. The decor in here is unique, with exposed rustic wood beams and Canadian decor. It makes the whole restaurant seem much bigger than it actually is and makes it a quaint little place. I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad and when it came I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The Dijon mustard and Asian sauce worked together so well! The chicken was nicely cooked and really crispy, the cashews offered a nice added bit of crunch and the mandarin oranges gave some acidity and sweetness. I was very impressed with the offerings at this restaurant and would strongly suggest it to anyone! read more

The Autumn Apple salad I had here today hit the spot. I think I could eat that everyday. I had a craving for a good salad and this exceeded it. It was so fresh and paired well. The dressing seemed to be homemade and was the perfect finisher. I need to try more of their menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is quite small inside and takeout isn't the quickest turnaround but it's worth it. read more

I had an absolutely delicious lunch at Cafe 119 today! I had the grilled chicken panini with pesto and mozzarella cheese. To die for. The service was prompt and attentive. This is the cutest little place with window seats and a tall glass cooler filled with homemade desserts. I had the lemon meringue pie and it was amazing. read more

I had the privilege of eating here for dinner this evening and it was delicious!! The service was phenomenal our waitress was so kind and attentive (I can't remember her name but thank you for great service!). The sandwich I had so much flavor you could taste the Swiss cheese and it was overpowering! That cake I had for dessert was so good I forgot to take a picture before I devoured it!! I was looking to bring my mom who uses a wheelchair for a nice Mother's Day lunch (we always do the day after because we know things won't be crowded ). A friend suggested here. Upon arrival I notice they have a large parking lot in the back which is helpful. I pop in to ask if they're wheelchair accessible- there is a little step up in the back entrance but the staff comes out and says they'll help. I can't stress enough how kind and accommodating this staff was - from lifting my moms wheelchair to moving chairs and treating her normally (other than coddled or disabled, which happens), it was such a treat. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet! My mom got a burger, I got the club. Everything was so delicious, I thought I couldn't eat another bite after I finished my whole plate - but then we saw the homemade dessert cooler . We both got huge pieces of cake with a cup of coffee and it was perfection. This place, the people, the food is such a treat. What a gem in Manlius! read more

I had the Philly Steak - Shaved Steak, Sautéed Onions, Sautéed Mushrooms, Roasted Red Peppers, and American Cheese Served on a toasted Sub Roll. Very Good. The fries were ok. This time she had the Roasted Turkey: Spinach, Red Onions, Dried Cranberries, Apples. Garbanzo Beans, Honey Glazed Walnuts, Gouda Cheese, Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, Honey Mustard Dressing and Breadsticks. Very good! She had a Diet Pepsi. I'm still not sure why a salad or sandwich needs to cost $14, but once I agree that's where we are, Cafe 119 is a charming setting with a varied menu. I had a somewhat skimpy, but tasty glass of Pinot Grigio followed by a Greek salad with falafel. Crisp lettuces with all the traditional add ones. The black olives seemed likely to be canned. Service was good and friendly. Would I do it again? Probably if I found myself in Manlius. read more

How I wish I could select zero stars. One is giving them too much credit as a business. From buying prepared food at Wegmans and serving as their "special of the day" to the terrible staff. Comical this establishment.. if you call it one.. is even open. Do not waste your money or give them the satisfaction of dining here. 0/100 No wonder they have no reviews in years read more

Small, clean, family-run restaurant in the village of Manlius. We come here about once a month and are never disappointed. My personal favorite is the Caprese Panini (available with or without chicken). Onion rings are worth the upcharge. Beer and wine are available, as are a selection of cakes made off-site. Shouldn't place too much emphasis on first impressions, I guess. I've eaten here at least half a dozen times since that objectionable first experience with the turkey club. Every other item has been way better than that. The staff, as has always been the case, are friendly, and the place looks nice after last year's renovation. I did catch a glimpse of another patron's turkey club the other day, though...for the record, it looks like the same pink cold cuts as have been served in the past. Safer to stick with the chicken. read more

Service iffy and depends on who you get. Food just ok sandwiches and salads...nothing special. Where they do shine a bit is they have nice array of homemade desserts. Place is small and on main road with parking in the back which sometimes can be a real challenge. They do not do well if have a crowd, then service is pretty bad. Might want to go just for a front table which over looks the walkway and get just a coffee and a dessert as a treat. read more

Recently remodeled, Cafe 119 now has more seating and updated decor. There are several small tables (designed to accomodate 4 people) that can be rearranged for groups larger than 4. The menu has changed slightly so you may miss your favorite item but you may be tempted to try something different. I tried one of the new Asian- inspired salads and while the salad itself was delicious, the dressing was too salty for me. Next time, I'll ask for a different dressing. The cafe is family owned and operated; the owners are committed to providing friendly and attentive service and good food. read more

On Friday I wanted something other than everyone's fish fry, so I stopped at Cafe 119 on my way home. I chose lobster ravioli from their 4 specials that day. There was a significant wait for it but I knew they are new-ish at this quantity of take-out business.(It's always been fun to eat-in, in the years I have been going there.) The ravioli came with a fresh, crisp salad and the balsamic dressing was outstanding. But the star was the lobster ravioli! There were six or seven large ovals of tender pasta and they were STUFFED with lobster! The creamy, white sauce was delicious, while not overwhelming the lobster. A fresh dinner roll filled me up, but I wished I had also gotten one of their homemade desserts. They are always excellent! read more

For lunch this is a great little spot. They have a huge selection of things but I'm pretty partial to their salads and wraps! The wraps come with chips and pasta salad. The restaurant itself is pretty small on the inside. But they have a few high demand outdoor seating places and you can get your food to go. If you get it to go just call ahead, because you'll be in the way if you're sitting around. The food is good though... Nice little local place. Prices are comparable to if you got a jimmy johns or panera or something. My only complaint is I wish there was more room inside or something but the food and service is great read more

We were in town 4 a massage then we walk across the st 2 the café it's a small place but the food was really good wife got the Buffalo wrap and I got the Philly steak both were very good the fries were good to but they were 1.25 up charge but we're worth it.we also got the Oreo pie and peanut butter pie both were awesome.Good customer service Maria was very nice and friendly.Over all we will for sure go back when we're in town again.Its worth the 1hr and 15 mins drive. read more

Two coworkers & I stumbled across Cafe 119 on the way back to our Syracuse office. We arrived at 11:45 AM on a Tuesday & there was only one other occupied table until after 12:00. Our server was very friendly, immediately rattling off some unique daily specials. I had a turkey cranberry sandwich, which was delicious & reasonably priced at $7.99. It came with chips, pasta salad, & a pickle. One of my coworkers substituted a green salad for the other sides at no cost. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Cafe 119 has a coffee bar & makes everything to order (vs. using mixes). Additionally, they offer a respectable beer & dessert selection, both of which I plan to check out if I return for dinner. I would recommend checking this place out if you are in town & enjoy locally owned cafés like I do. read more

An unpretentious, congenial atmosphere combined with surprisingly good food at a reasonable price, makes Cafe 119 my all-around favorite dining establishment in the Village of Manlius. It earns 5 Stars for Best in its Class of casual, family-operated cafes. With only 10 or so tables its wise to call ahead, especially in the evening if you plan to dine prior to the start time of movies playing at the cinema located just a few steps away. read more

We love this spot. I have been going here consistently for over a year since it is very close to home. Their food is healthy and delicious whether it be in the restaurant or a take out order. With our lifestyle we mostly do takeout, and everything is just as fresh and delicious as if it were eaten in house. The service is always wonderful and everyone is super friendly. I never have a chance to write reviews but am making it a point to do so today, because we are so grateful that Manlius has such a lovely establishment. I enjoy coming to lunch here this is a really solid spot. It's a cute little hole in the wall location right in the middle of the town of Manilus. The portions are pretty large for soups and salads and all of the sandwich's are very filling. I think the best thing there though is dessert. The desserts are homemade so you never know what you're getting. It's always a surprise and the desserts are always to die for. read more

Really good option in Manlius, which can sometimes feel like a restaurant desert. If you want to go out to a laid back lunch, this is probably the place to be. My personal favorite is the Modena chicken; with sun dried tomatoes and a balsamic glaze, what could be better? What makes any sandwich above average in my book is having great bread and cafe 119 delivers on that. Their fries are crispy and well seasoned as well. read more

I absolutely love this cafe for lunch. I am a Manlius resident and have been all my life but I just discovered this place a couple years back. They have decent serving sizes at reasonable costs and everything I've tried here has been delicious. The salads are beautiful and big and they use fresh ingredients. The sandwiches are delicious and I love that they come with sides of pasta salad (I'm not the biggest fan of French fries so this is a treat for me). To top off the experience, their desserts are wonderful. It varies depending on whatever they had made but it is all good. And you can see all the desserts in the case; everything tastes as good as it looks or better. The service is great. Every time I have gone, the servers have been so nice and service is quick. My only complaint is that they are not open on weekends when I would have more opportunities to go. Absolutely wonderful place to grab a meal. read more

I will say that the entrees don't come with a soup or salad so that's something to be aware of. I'm not sure if this happens regularly but there was also a dude named Pinky playing keyboard and sax in the corner. Never thought I would hear smooth jazz versions of "Sweet Caroline" or "Danny Boy" or even "If I were a Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof. Certainly an international setlist.
