He is a full bred German Biewer Terrier with beautiful long black, white and brown hair on this torso, head, ears and tail. When I picked him up 20 mintures later after a text saying he was ready, he was still in the back as they were putting "a bow on him." I said "Don't put him in a cage" Thier response was they had none. They had numerous cages that I saw in the back room. Lie#1 When I arrived they made me pay before I saw him. Alarming. When he was brought out they had CHOPPED HIS TAIL, the long hair on his EARS, HIS HEAD AND TOP COAT IS UNEVEN AND THE CHARM OF THE BREED WITH HIS LONG SILKY HAIR IS GONE! I left as I was so upset and returned an hour later when I was more calm. They didn't apologize but said we had asked for a "Puppy Cut". LIE #2. My dog is 11 years old. WE NEVER ASKED FOR A PUPPY CUT nor had heard of it!! This was my first and last time to this place. Yes, I know it will grow but that's not the point. It's like giving your kid a buzz cut "by mistake"!!

I then got a TEXT asking me if I want to schedule for 9am. I said, no I have the appointment for 10am. When I went in, I was told my appointment was at 9. I showed the texts that PROVED that I had a 10am scheduled and I was told it was MY fault, too bad they're booked. This isn't the first mix up here, so it's not an isolated incident. If they can't get this right, or customer service right I wonder how my dog is being treated while he gets his haircut... Time to find a new place.

Super Bowl Sunday, February 8th, 2026:…read more After taking both dogs on a hike, both got grimy and grubby...especially the Maltipoo. We always choose Pet Food Express to give them a shower and this was the closest one. Located in a strip mall in Mill Valley and approximately less than a mile from 101, it was definitely convenient as it was the closest to Mt. Tam. Upon entering, there were two, young female workers by the cash register, and we didn't even get a greeting. In fact, the look on their faces was of disgust...as if we were bothering them or as if we disturbed them. No matter, we asked for a coin and informed them of our intent of a pet wash. The service was cold and disinterested. I can see it from both their body language, their eyes and most obvious of all, their facial expressions. I read these things - years and years of training comes naturally. I'm I n constant awareness and reading people. I get it, maybe they had a long day and it was close to ending their shift and they have to prep and clean the pet wash area before closing time. But it was only approximately 16:15 hours (4:15 PM) and their closing time is at 18:00 hours (6:00 PM) on a Sunday. Anyways, their negative energy lingered as we were washing our dogs while one of the workers cleaned the unused pet washing stations. The way she was cleaning was also off. It's like a kid upset that her parents told her to clean her bedroom kind of vibe. What was also bugging me was the condition of the aprons. They stunk like old mildew. I don't know when was the last time they were washed, but they needed to be soaked and rinsed in gallons of detergent to remove the funky smell. When we were done, we didn't even get a thank you or any type of acknowledgment unlike all the other Pet Food Express that we've been to. Just the same treatment when we all walked in. At least they were consistent. Guess we won't be using this pet wash station anymore.
