So many of the display pieces were memories of our past, as well as things we had never seen! There was an absolutely FUN and interesting scavenger hunt that made everything even more interesting and focused. We earned a Jello pencil, which I will treasure for sure! Along with the postcards and photos too. Oh, and the recipes as well. Yep, I remember Poke cake, special holiday jellos, Jello Jigglers and found some more recipes to try too. The docents were great - they all knew so much and love jello as much as we do! We were excited to be able to buy cranberry jello - as we have never seen it in our stores. And they had other flavors to watch for and discover. This may be a small museum (with a downstairs that houses vehicles and transportation for jello production and distribution) but we could have spent more time here and enjoyed every minute! That said, a little curating and information goes a long way. I understand that the planes are for the most part not stationary, but placing an informational plaque or sign by each plane, stating what it is, when built, and the significance of its type and that specific plane would be a tremendous help, and make any visit more interesting. I have basic and vague knowledge of the different planes; my wife has none. The downloaded audio tour was way lacking and many of the numbered items in the museum were off. And I'd rather just read a sign near an item then fumble around for the right audio track and then have to listen to it. And so the war at home (sic) exhibit was a little slapdash too. Sometimes less is more. There are exhibits of a period livingroom, kitchen, laundry room, etc. But they cram so many period items into each room, it's very unrealistic in terms of giving you a taste of what life was like then. It was as if a collector - or hoarder - filled each room with stuff. Just have the rooms decorated with the items one may have had, and perhaps some explanations of maybe how long one had to work to buy a radio or phonograph, etc. I get it; they are probably doing the best they can with a limited budget. I respect that. But being there are no docents readily available, and even if there were, informative signs near each plane, and maybe a history of the jeep - besides the audio - would make ones visit so much more fulfilling.

They could also make a smore before the great adventure. We were briefed about walking across the street and given a container for the fire flies as well as a net. Then we walked across the street. Be warned, after you get across to the field the event is self-led and you can walk around the field and find lightning bugs are your leisure. It was a nice evening with my son (he's 7) and my best friend.

The Hull Family Home is truly a gem, and is the only fully restored stone dwelling of the early…read more1800's in Erie county. When's the last time you visited a 200-year-old home? The home and farmstead were built by Warren Hull, a Revolutionary War veteran who moved to Lancaster, NY from New England with his wife Polly and their children. Their home was also used as hotel for people traveling from Batavia to Buffalo, as well as a meeting place. The home has a total of 4 floors, 3 of which were open to the public when we were there. There's also 7 functional fireplaces. It's evident how passionate and knowledgeable the volunteers are. The house was fully restored and is beautiful. The medicinal herb garden was thoughtfully planned and is carefully maintained by their volunteer gardener. The family cemetery is maintained by volunteers from the local chapter of DAR. They have ambitious goals to make this the premier historic destination of Erie County, and have made a lot of progress towards it. They normally host a variety of events, which have been cancelled due to COVID. However they are currently open Sundays in August 2020 from 12-3PM. Admission is free, but there's a recommended donation of $5. The volunteers dress in period clothes and will walk you through the home. I encourage you to checkout their website, which has a virtual tour of the home, as well as their Facebook page, which they've been actively keeping up to date. A note on parking and accessibility. There's a gravel/grass/bumpy parking lot available on the east side of the home. The back entrance into the Lowe level is relatively flat stone, and doesn't have any stairs. There's a wheel chair lift on the outside of the home which goes to the 1st floor in the home. Within the home, there are only stairs between each floor.

Prices were up hotdog and hamburgers were wrapped in tinfoil premade. They tasted like crap. A cold smashed bun around your hot dog or hamburger well three people sat behind their just handing it to you when they could've been cooking food just sucks. No one has an idea how to run a concession stand. I could see why the tracks not doing good just for that waiting in line to get in. They have one lady back there slow as a turtle. The whole experience just turns you off. get some instructors in there teach people how to food prep teach people how to deal with the public about how you get lines going through faster I mean, just everything was a shamble the speakers announcing stuff you can hardly hear them. I mean, put some money into this place if you can't afford to run it close it. if I could give a negative stars I would and talking to the people around the track and with the track it's either this or nothing. That's the outlook. Everyone has there and that sucks. This is supposed to be your featured event at the end of the year the culmination and what people will want to come back for next year...DUH

He shows his students new ways of thinking about what we really see- colors, shapes, relationships, and how it all creates an experience. I have a new way of looking at things. The Gallery is an exciting place that contains Bill's art library of books and tastefully displayed art of not only his works, but so many other talented artists. The paintings change frequently so every visit may be a different experience. Bill and his wife Linda are helping to put Caledonia on the map as an art destination. Their first community art show last fall helped to showcase the many talents of local artists. In April, the next community show will bring together area photographers.
