Cynthia was very, very informative from the beginning and communicated all scenarios that could happen. My mother and I are not well-versed in lawyer terms and Cynthia spent a lot of time making sure we understood all the lingo and felt comfortable with the next steps during the entire process. The other party in her office is Kimberly who also was kind, caring and took time to explain. Although communication was not constant, we were contacted when we needed to be. Cynthia would not waste her time just to reach out and say "everything is fine." When hiring an attorney it is important to TRUST them and know that they are doing what needs to be done behind the scenes and you do not need to be involved in every single process. Cynthia is very trust-worthy! She even had us meet her at her office to do a mock courtroom hearing so we would understand what was to happen at court. She even had us follow her to the courthouse and into the courtroom at the time of the hearing so we would not get lost or feel uneasy. She went beyond a lawyers duties and she truly cares about her clients. Cynthia worked with us throughout the process for payment and even allowed negotiation of price at points. If you are looking for a great attorney for probate, look no further! Cynthia will take of you and your families needs properly, professionally and with care.

It was very easy to schedule the first initial meeting and drop down the required $2000 retainer fee. After that it went all downhill. Her lack of communication was the biggest struggle. Phone calls would not get returned as well as emails on a timely basis and of course once you did call or email (without a response) you were charged for her time to read the email or listen to the message (again without a response). Once she did decide to return a call or email there was always an excuse that she had an emergency situation with another client. I thought I was a client? She also stated in her initial meeting that our probate was very simple and gave us a price range of course saying that since it was so simple it would fall in the lower range. When it was all said and done she charged us $600 over the top price. And...when we received the bill we had to send the money within 10 days. She would not even call us back within 10 days!!! I referred her to a friend at the same time as our initial meeting (again that was when she was all responsive wanting the retainer) and my friend ending up terminating the relationship and to this day has not received part of the retainer due or even a phone call to discuss. Very very frustrating way to run a business and would not recommend hiring Cynthia Williams.

Before making the switch, we specifically told our previous attorney's office that we wanted an attorney who would communicate with us, be honest about our case, and show understanding and compassion during such a difficult time. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. Every time we call the office, we are told to leave a message and that someone will call us back. Most of the time, that call never comes. We are constantly left wondering what is happening with our case. After our Benefit Review Conference (BRC), we expected at least a follow-up phone call to explain what happened, answer our questions, and discuss the next steps. Instead, we waited two days before calling ourselves. Once again, we were told someone would get back to us, but no one did. At this point, we honestly don't know whether our case is still actively being worked on because we have received so little communication. We don't know what information they need from us, what evidence is being presented on our behalf, what the next step in the process is, or what we should be doing to help our case move forward. We have been left completely in the dark. The lack of communication has been incredibly frustrating. As clients, we shouldn't have to repeatedly chase our own attorney just to receive an update on our case. We understand attorneys are busy, but a simple phone call or even an email explaining where the case stands would make a tremendous difference. From our personal experience, we have not felt informed, supported, or treated as though our case matters. We were looking for honesty, communication, and compassion, and unfortunately, we have not experienced those qualities. We hope this feedback encourages the firm to improve communication with its clients so that no one else is left feeling this uncertain about the status of their case.
