But, right away, we…read morestarted to feel leery of his office's professionalism when they were making blatant errors, like misspelling the child's name on court documents and other mistakes they should not need us to correct. After an initial court denial from the court, we decided not to continue to pursue the matter, but their office filed suit without consulting with us on the path forward. We asked them to file a non-suit and end the case. That was all they did, yet somehow, they deemed our invoice come to a total of over $3,000. Most of the charges were the communications we needed to make to correct their errors, and of course the filing they neglected to confer with us about, then the non-suit filing. Not once did the attorney have to actually appear in a courtroom. On top of that, their office has ignored the majority of our communication attempts and typically did not respond to our early calls/e-mails for days. This is a very unprofessional office and are run as a money-grab scheme. Do not use Mark Lane.

My ex filed for the divorce and I truly thought I was screwed until I contacted Mark Lane. he was very professional. His staff was very professional, they always returned my calls. Even going into my divorce with Mark all I was hoping for was not having to pay for attorney fees, which I thought I was gonna have to do not only did I not have to pay for my attorney fees, but I got a considerable amount in the settlement, which I did not expect at all, and it was because he dug very deep into my exes finances and found much information that I wasn't even aware of. I'm sure that Mark has his faults, as all attorneys do, but I can tell you from experience. I think he is a very, very good and professional attorney very caring, and although I may not have seen or spoken with him during the divorce, he was at every meeting that was called. He's a very very busy man because he is a very, very good attorney, not only does he handle divorces but he is now doing estate and trust settlements. I understand that that is really what he wants to do so he's trying to do less divorce cases but I highly recommend Mark if you want a really good professional attorney and expect a good outcome, you need to make sure to hire Mark.
