From Yelp reviews, we started the gastronomic adventure with lunch at Pad Thai. After a pleasant meal, I inquired as to where I could locate an Asian grocery store. The lovely lady tending us directed us to Z World Express. It took a couple of passes up and down Main street looking at both ends of the RV lot we were directed to look for before spying the brick building with red white and blue sign. Not much to see from the outside, no hint that groceries are there, but on inside, jackpot!! This place is packed floor to ceiling with tiny aisles you have to squeeze through. There is a nice representation of Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and some Indian selections. There are several chest freezers filled with a plethora of frozen seafood. The back wall is a bank of coolers with a nice selection of fresh veggies, Fresh Pho Noodles, and other tasy treats. I picked up Tom Yum soup base, Masaman Curry Paste, coconut cream, Thai Tea, instant Pho broth, Mabo Tofu sauce and a nice selection of snacks. Prices are actually a little less than what I am used to paying in Seattle, another nice bonus. The owners were very engaging and very helpful. They directed us to Best Teriyaki for a Korean fix, which turned out to be spot on. Good service, excellent selection of foods, definitely a hidden gem

I saw on…read moreFacebook that they were doing some really cute valentine candy bouquets, so we decided to pick some up for our kids. First, there was a really fun photo op outside. They had a ginormous chair we could take photos in, so we took full advantage of that :) This little store is chuck full of food and items made locally. They have produce, candy, ice cream, soda, beer, lotions, coffee, dog treats, decor and everything in between. In the back they have a vending machine where you can buy Bingham Custom Meats bacon bombs. We haven't used it yet, but it looks so awesome! The employee there was a rockstar! She helped us figure out our candy bouquets and made them look awesome! The kids absolutely loved them and I think we're going to need to do this again. Maybe the husband and I will get one for ourselves too next time.

Service: 2 stars Cafe: 2 stars Grocery: 4 stars Bakery: 4 stars Meat selection: 4 stars Prices: 3 stars Cafe cooks pretty good authentic Mexican food, but they aren't keeping their pico de gallo or salsas cool during service. They look to be sitting on the tables most of the day. My wife didn't dare put the room temp condiments on her tacos. I took a chance and luckily I was okay afterwards. Service is very much hit and miss. Some workers are very nice, others avoid non-Spanish speakers. One girl had the gall to criticize me for not speaking Spanish. There aren't a lot of workers here at any given time, so finding help can be a little difficult. It's common to find no one manning the register. They carry a lot of groceries considering its not all that big. Includes a large selection of meats, a decent fresh produce section, large bakery, an authentic cafe in the back and maybe a half dozen aisles filled with all sorts of imported processed foods. On the back of the last aisle, they have an interesting selection of authentic salsas and hot sauces. Cookies from the bakery were good. Their Polvorones (three color cookies) are especially good here, slightly chewy which I like, and very tasty. Cooler has a larger than average selection of sodas and drinks from the US, Mexico, South America and elsewhere in Central America. They even carry Inca Kola from Peru which isn't too common. Considering their large drink selection, I wish they complimented it with a few South American groceries like aji sauces and cooking mixes. Prices here are average for Latino groceries. Meat counter is priced a bit high compared to similar markets I'm used to in SLC. They keep a fairly clean place, dining tables always wiped. But some of the shopping carts and baskets are nasty with crud. I shop here regularly for less common cuts of meats and interesting groceries and drinks. Though it has issues, Anaya's is a nice addition to Logan's culinary diversity.
