For a boba shop, the boba was not great. The consistency was way off any the boba lacked all flavor. The drink itself was ok, but also a little lacking in flavor as well. I did have friends that enjoyed their coffee drinks better, but overall the drinks weren't great. My family and I were in the Ogden area for a dinner and a ghost tour. We stopped by the Pearl Milk Tea Club to grab a drink. Medium Jasmine Milk Tea with Tapioca Pearls: $4.95 + $.50 for tapioca pearls. The drinks are affordable and priced well but unfortunately the pearls were overcooked and really soft. No chew or "qq" at all. The Jasmine tea didn't have enough flavor as well. Overall, I would recommend the staff to retry their tapioca pearl and drink recipe. Hopefully this was just a one off day. We walked in and the smell was delicious. Sweet, sugary boba. Ordered and not so much. Boba was sticking to our teeth and no flavor. Peach strawberry smoothie was sour and bland. Taro tasted like bland milk. Cookies and cream boba was watery and not very sweet. Peanut butter smoothie was kind of okay but that's probably because everything else was so bland. We will head down the street and try the other boba place. Hopefully we will fair better there. read more

I was excited to find a boba place in Ogden. We recently moved here and I miss my old boba spot so this was exciting to find! I went on my lunch break which is always a little worrisome because I wasn't sure how long it was going to take. I was happy that I was in and out within 10 minutes. The cashier was very friendly and chatted with me which I appreciated it. I ordered my favorite-Taro with regular boba. I was a little surprised at the price and size of the drink. I ordered the smallest size and it was 5 and change but I felt like it was quite small. Maybe worth $4. The taste was good and satisfied my craving for boba but It was a little less sweet than my old boba spot in Vegas. I watched these guys make it and I noticed they put one scoop of boba mix and a few scoops of coffee mate creamer which I had never seen done before. I think that might be why it was less sweet? I think I'm used to more of the boba powder making it sweeter. I wonder if the coffee creamer is a money saving idea or just the recipe they like. I have purchased boba powder online and made them at home and have always used more powder. With that being said, it was still delicious and I still enjoyed the taste. The texture was more runny than I would like it. By the time I got back to work (about a 7 minute drive) it was very runny and melted. I do prefer mine thicker. Maybe I could request more ice? The tapioca pearls were cooked to perfection. Not too hard and not too mushy. Delicious! I took some work friends back to try it a few days later and they enjoyed it. So my overall impression of Pearl Milk Tea was good. I think it was a tad over priced for the sizes they offer but so far, it's the only place in Ogden that I have found that makes boba like this. So I'm giving 3 stars for the price and the fact that it was a little too runny for my liking but I would go again. Give it a try! read more

Got a brown sugar milk tea boba, it was so gross tasted like watered down coffee with a weird after taste. 2nd drink was a peach mango smoothie, tasted super sour and not at all of peach and mango. I've been going here for years and it is the first time I've had a drink taste like that. Straight into the trash. Legit this is a no. Ordered a Thai tea with lychee jelly and a Vietnamese coffee . The woman at the front had to ask the other guy how to make the drinks. Both did not taste how they should've. She forgot my lychee jelly and I said it was alright but the gentleman there was not having it, grabbed my cup and had her put it in there. He deserves an extra straw for that. This appears to be one of the only businesses offering boba tea in the SLC area, and thank goodness for it! Nothing is quite as refreshing as boba tea during a hot day, especially when they have my favorite flavor, "taro" ! The flavor was a little weak, but it was still good, and the tapioca pearls are the OG chewy kind, none of that flavored, "bursting" boba here to ruin a good drink. This place is awesome!! I love every flavor I've tried. I've had pineapple with mango boba, strawberry with leeche stars. Lavender with strawberry boba (my favorite so far!) and I'm planning to keep coming back! It's a nice cozy environment and since my first time it's been a go to spot to hangout with friends. Amia has helped me the most and her customer service has been excellent. She is friendly, she has been so clear and understandable whenever I ask what a drink tastes like. Good drinks. Maybe not outstanding, but definitely good. It's a decent locale on the end of 25th Street and it has all the requisite things: drinks, couches, funky art, and an especially kind drinkslinger who answered a billion questions from us. I do love me a good boba, so maybe I should have had the traditional tapioca kind. I opted instead for the strawberry bursting boba, which was my first time having it. It's good, in a syrupy sweet kids way, and I don't really have any complaints. I had it in a fruity blended drink and did, by the end, wish that I had gone with the more chewy boba pearls. I went fishing a lot as a kid, and we use a lot of salmon eggs. On a bigger scale, that's exactly what the strawberry bursting boba reminded me of. The service was the real shining star here. I'm kicking myself for not remembering her name. I want to say something like "Kenz" which, in my mind, was short for McKenzie. I could be completely off, but she was lovely and kind and we asked a ton of questions about what to get, and how to get it and, how it tastes, and she was super patient and got our drinks out fast. Prices are about average for a boba drink. We sat on the dark couches and shot the breeze. She offered us the wi-fi password without us even having to ask, and we probably could have stayed longer if we didn't have plans across town. It was only a 15-minute boba break, but I'd come back. Park around back, most likely, as the street isn't overflowing with free parking spaces. There's no shortcut to the main road, so you have to go around the block to reach 25th. read more

The man making our tea was completely disrespectful and I will not be returning. My wife and I order boba tea often and this is the first place we have tried since moving to Utah. We asked for a simple peach black tea with boba. No milk. We wait for over 20 minutes for this guy to make us peach teas, NO milk. And I ask him about it, can you make us tea without milk? He tells me that they are without milk, that it's blended peach and that's why it's separated. "It's not milk, it's a dairy byproduct." Okay..I go to try it and it's not bad, but it tasted more like coffee than tea and not what we were looking for. So I go back in to ask if we can have the tea that we had asked for. This is where he starts becoming incredibly rude. As I walk back in, he throws his head back and let's out a distinct, "ugh!" Asks what's wrong with the drink. I told him that I wanted just a plain tea with boba and that it just tastes off. He just starts talking really fast and telling me "you must not be used to 'real' tea". I told him that I just wanted the tea that I am paying for. So he goes ahead and just starts making a drink. Says he knows what's best. So I take his word for it, I ordered a tea, not confrontation. He hands us the drinks, pomegranate, which isn't what I asked for but at this point I will just take anything without milk. He gives us the drinks which were actually good, and we walk away. This is where I get really mad. He FOLLOWS us out into the street, and continues to belittle us. Saying, "Is that sweet enough for you? I don't think it's sweet enough." He was so condescending and it still bothers me days later. I have worked at a cafe for years and this is not customer service. I lived in Vegas and I think that is the epicenter but this Tea Club is doing the best they can in the '5th grade learning environment' of Ogden. OH MY GOSH THIS PLACE! While I was at WSU, I made it a MISSION to stop by EVERY TUESDAY MORNING! This is my favorite thing about Ogden. Let me give you my reasons for such. 1. THE SERVICE! Okay so there's Henry! He was there evenings not mornings but seriously. He was so humble, yet professional. So nice, and personable! He always made sure the times he was there to make conversation with EVERYONE! Now there's another guy named Ming. Let me tell you, I got to know him fairly well, and if it wasn't for him, I would not have known two thirds of what I know about tea. Every single time I came in, he had a new tea for me to try, was knowledgeable in every aspect of every tea he had me try! From the provinces where they came from to the pin point flavors of the tea, to the tea ceremony ITSELF! Ming is just one of those few people you come across and know he is just one of the two awesome guys who really take pride in what they do! 2. THE TEA! Personally I don't like boba, but I do like an authentic Chinese pot of tea. When I started going they weren't really fully implemented but they had MORE THAN ENOUGH to sample! From Chrysanthemum? to Bi lo chun, to this roasted rice green tea and flavorful full bodied oolongs to potent blacks and even rose buds! I can honestly say this place and it's teas influenced me more than I thought! 3, Atmosphere. Like for any college kid, what else could one want? Right in the heart of historic downtown, next to Karens!, and inside oh INSIDE! They have really contemplative music playing with all sorts of nice paintings, sofas and little Asian gifts and snacks. Honestly there is so much more I could say but being 800 miles away in California no where near to this place really saddened my ability to keep typing. So, go, ask for Ming if he could introduce you to the Gonfu tea ceremony with his pick of tea. He will not disappoint you. When I think of Ogden, I think of four places; Weber State, Pearl Milk, Karens Cafe and Rancho Markets. I will be back soon Pearl Milk, please don't leave! New teas! They have about 15-18 new varieties of loose leaf teas ( I'm on number 6 or 7 because I fell in love with a semi oxidized oolong and have had it maybe 2-4 times) MING AND HENRY ARE STILL AWESOME! Walked in for the first time yesterday late afternoon. As most first timers you take the time to look over the menu. The girl at the cash wasn't patient at all with me. As I was trying to figure out the process when she started to rush me. There was no one behind me, only two customers waiting for their order. She started asking me questions. Unfortunately, the music was loud so I didn't hear her at first. I wasn't sure want she asked me so I asked her again. At this point she lifts her head and shouts out DO YOU WANT A SMOOTHIE OR A TEA?
