Walked in early Sunday morning to just take a look at some trailers to see what we wanted. Informed our salesman, Bobby, up front that we weren't buying today. He still took an entire hour out of his day to show us any trailer we wanted, answer all of our questions (my girlfriend had quite a few), and give us his best advice for some first time buyers. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly, not pushy at all. When he got to a question he couldn't answer, he gave us an honest "I can't answer that". BUYER BEWARE: We purchased a brand new Forest River Sabre 38DBQ from Northside RV. We were pleased to see several good reviews on Google, and trusted them with our business. Upon arriving, everyone was of course very friendly. We worked with salesperson David, and he was very kind (if a bit pushy). The second the rig was off the lot, nothing but issues. Their delivery driver told us there was something wrong with the brakes. Has anyone come to inspect or to fix it? No. No one cares. Then, when we finally got the rig hooked up, the air conditioner didn't work. Again, called the dealership with now TWO issues. No calls back, no assistance. I've texted our sales person, made repeated calls, Facebook messages... nothing. Nothing, nothing. Unbelievable, given that this rig is BRAND NEW. The minute we purchased our rig, they were very pushy about immediately leaving a review. Clearly, this is because they don't care once it's off the lot. Don't go there to purchase an RV...!!!! We purchased a Tiffan Allegro from a salesman called Matt, he did a sales job on us. We purchased it and he promised everything would be fixed, cleaned and everything ready to go when we picked it up. NOT.... First of all it was pouring down rain, he wasn't there. It took hours to finalize the sale. We had to pay first before going out to pick up our motorhome from the service department. We were told there would be someone there to go over everything on the inside and outside of the coach. They charged us $500 for this. Well that was a disappointment. He didn't know how most of the stuff on the motorhome worked and wasn't able to help. He kept saying I will check the manual or someone and get back with you. Never did. Since we had already paid and by the time we got through with finalizing the sale and waiting on the guy to go over everything on the motorhome, everyone had left for the day. So we had to take the Motorhome and hope to get some answers the next day. We called several times and the receptionist said she would give them the message, no one called back. Finally after 7 or 8 times leaving messages we got a body to call us. He promised us that if we bought it back everything would be taken care of, and that we would get a refund on the $500 we paid to have it cleaned, and a complete tour of the inside and out information on how things worked, etc. That never happened, the guy that promised us that, left the company. We finally ask to talk to the head guy. He told us to bring it down and someone in service would be there to help. Again we waited to finally get to talk to someone. We will finally did get to speak with the Service Manage he assured us we would have it back soon, but to allow them up to 30 days. After about 3 weeks we started calling to see how the work was coming along. That time we had called and left messages 15 + times same thing....left messages no one called us back. Once we did get ahold of the service Manager and he had not idea who we were or what was going on the with the work on our motorhome. We finally got a call after almost 2 months that we could pick up our motorhome that it was finished. TERRIBLE service!! I had been looking for a new Trailer for over 18 months. Then while visiting relatives in Lexington, they suggested I stop by Northside RV, and they were correct. I went out just to look, but the salesman, Mike Reffett, answered all my questions and only showed me trailers that would fit my needs. Mike not only responded to questions in person but by phone and text; he is still answering questions even after the sale is complete. You can find an RV at many places, but if you are looking for good old-school customer service to go with a great deal, you can't beat Mike and Northside Family RV. read more

We had a great experience with Northside RV. We got an excellent price on a very well kept camper trailer with everything we wanted. Definitely worth the 5 hour drive there. BJ was a kind and considerate salesman, Kyle got our paperwork done efficiently and was friendly and TJ and his team hung around to tour us around the camper, teach us how to use it and to be sure we were safe with the proper hitch and lights before leaving. We just purchased a Tiffin Allegro Open Road 36 LA motorhome from Northside RV. We were extremely pleased by the way we were treated. The price we paid was below what other dealers were offering. We have a Tiffin dealer in our city, but because of the price difference we traveled 150 miles out of state to make our purchase at Northside. We were treated very well from start to finish. Our salesman, Jamie Griffin, returned our calls as needed. They did an inspection before we arrived, but when we picked up our motorhome there were still a few items that needed to be addressed. The service technician, Shaun, went over and above expectations to see that everything was fixed. We left to take our unit home about 5:30 on a Friday. The dealership had closed at 5 PM but they stayed until everything was ready. On our way home, we quickly discovered that one item, had been overlooked. Our side and rear cameras were not working. While we were driving we sent a text to Shaun to notify him. He suggested we pull off somewhere and he would come to us and fix it. He drove 26 miles after hours to come to us and had it fixed in just a few minutes. The only suggestion we have for Northside would be to improve the new owner initiation. We had to speak to several different people to get our questions answered, rather than one person who was well acquainted with the vehicle. read more

I was searching for a specific trailer and contacted Northside when I saw they had the rig I wanted. Tim Logwood called me back I need to state that I'm from California and was unable to get anyone to call me back locally so I was happy to finally get someone willing to sell me my Flagstaff Microlite by Forest River. It literally took 10 min. for me to order and place a deposit to begin the process of building my 2021 Microlite. It arrived 1 month ahead of schedule. Northside worked with our schedule so we were able to pick up our trailer within weeks of its arrival. TJ gave us a detailed orientation of our trailer answering all our questions and reassure us that we would be just fine (we are first timers). TJ even gave us his cell number and took a few calls, answering questions he had already explained but never made us feel bad, as we ventured out on our return drive to California. We absolutely love our rig and the ENDLESS HELP we have received from the folks at Northside RV. Our adventures have begun and we owe a HUGE thanks to Northside RV for making our travels happen. My employer bought a new travel trailer from this establishment. The sales rep did not have keys to the back doors, so promised to send new locks and a new cabinet door that needed replacing. 3 months later and still no locks or replacement cabinet door and will not return phone calls. We just purchased our first Moterhome from Northside Family RV this weekend. A 2013 Allegra Tiffen Red. I can't say enough about the staff as they were all phenomenal. Especially, our saleswoman Karen. She was super friendly and very attentive to all our needs. She was not pushy like most sales people normally are and was available to answer any and all our questions with a smile. Even the crew who walked us through our RV and told us everything there was to know about it was extremely friendly and helpful. Bought our 2010 Tioga Ranger in August 2021, it is now January 25, 2022 & buying this RV was one of the biggest mistakes we have ever made in our 52 years of marriage! All they wanted to do was make a sale, no wonder they worked so hard to sell it to us!!!! They did NOT go over it with a fine tooth come & we found that out the hard way. Shortly after getting it home, the steps quit working & so were unable to enter the RV through the door & had to go through the cab door. Found out that only 1 level worked & they were automatic (we were told that the 2 in the front were manual, which let us know they had not even looked at the RV)!! We were told that the light in the sitting area (missing) need rewiring & at that time they would repair the door lock, the steps & the side mirror. When we took it in & left it for several weeks, they said they had to order parts for the steps & levels! The light was replaced & for all we knew, all was well. Decided to go on a trip to see our kids in Kansas. The night before leaving, we went to fill the water tank & all the water came gushing out from underneath the RV. Sent a note to Jennifer in service & she said to bring it in when we got back. Filled up with propane, loaded everyone up the next morning & headed out on a 10 hour trip. During that time, we found that the generator didn't work, outlets in the kitchen & bathroom didn't work, a/c didn't work, refrigerator quit working, the floor was soft and on & on. Wrote to Jennifer saying we wanted our money back. We had been lied to by Travis Goodpaster from the very beginning! Sent a text to Travis who forwarded it to the General Manager, who texted me & told me to bring it in when we returned & we would get top priority! We took it in on October 22 Jennifer noted that there were 13 things wrong with it & assured us they would fix it. Two months later, we went & picked it up. As we pulled out of the parking space and made a left, we heard a grinding noise. Stopped the RV and walked around and underneath & couldn't find anything, so we drove home. All was well until we made a left into our driveway and heard the grinding noise again. It was January and we were so stressed over this whole ordeal, that we decided we would deal with that in the spring. Yesterday, we went out, just for fun, to just take a few things in etc. We attempted to start it, & it wouldn't start. Jumped it, started it, and let it run. Decided to turn the heat on over night. This morning, the battery is dead & the heater does not work! Are we surprised? Definitely not! Afraid to go on a trip. Never buy anything used from Northside. They cannot be trusted!!!! read more

I have been here for 45 minutes waiting on them to fill 4 propane tanks Even ran to the store to finish up my grocery shopping only to come back and still wait for them to fill after hunting someone down to fill up the tanks after seeing 30 people in the office and another 15 workers outside detailing NO ONE stopped to see if I needed any help I have walked to the office 2 times and finally after this horrid long wait I have finally have someone filling my tanks only to rush to an event at 11am up the street This place is so bad with customer service I was forced to come here, but I don't recommend this place for propane unless you have nothing to do that day U haul demolishes them when it comes to service and there prices are way better like I said I was forced to come bc of no time to spare going all the way to u haul but as for this place DO NOT COME HERE THEY ARE SO BAD read more

We purchased a Jayco class C from Northside rv along with the extended warranty. The warranty covers very little and was a total waste of money. At the closing, we were lead to believe otherwise. To make things worse, we were charged for the service department to look at the repairs that were ultimately denied. Don't expect callbacks from the service department, it was less frustrating for me to drive the 1.5 hours to talk to someone. read more

Beware of their extended "bumper to bumper" warranty. Their service department is not in line with their sales pitch. Also, the time it takes to make an appointment and then wait for over two weeks before work begins is absurd. Do not buy a used RV from this establishment. I paid for an inspection and once I got it home I found out I had a bad tire. (I guess they put air in it for me walk thru.) We were traveling on I 75 when one of our roof vents decided to fly off. We called Northside RV and were told to come on in. One of the service men came out in the rain, climbed a ladder to change the vent, and put us back on the road in about an hour. We recently purchased a brand new Keystone Cougar from Northside and the treatment we received was the best from any RV dealership that we have ever visited in this country. We drove up from Tennessee, because these people gave us a great price on a new Cougar and on our trade-in too. Everyone at this dealership including the General Manager went out of their way to make sure we were happy. It was worth the 225 mile drive. This place is an absolute joke. I recently purchased a camper a 2014 summerland that was purchased at this dealership new in 2014. I called about getting an estimate for a new awning. They tried to charge me $130 just to give me an estimate without doing any work. I am in the construction business and I have never charged for estimates. If you're looking to have your camper repaired I would definitely avoid this place. Camping world is probably a better option, customer service is quite poor as well. Update. I called camping world , not only did they give me a free estimate over the phone after I provided model/serial numbers they also ordered the parts for repair no questions asked. 0$ up front, and no $130.00 estimate fee. read more

I wish I didn't even have to give a star. It took them well over 6 months for my camper repair. At this point we decided to sell it and met a couple there. The lift for the double beds had not been repaired as will as the shield for the bathroom vent was lying in the floor. So definitely did not sell the camper to those people 3 week later the repairs had not been completed, finally 2 week later a couple decided to buy it. I had all the legal paperwork title etc with me. Northside refused to allow us to use their notary, and this was the second camper we had purchased there. We wanted to rent an RV for a trip around Kentucky. Unfortunately, it seems that Northside is the only RV rental company in the area. There are other options in Louisville (Elizabethtown actually) or Cincinnati, but that's quite a drive for a rental when you are being charged by the mile. In any case, the only RV rental that Northsides offers is a huge Class-A (bus type) or a huge Class-C. Even though there were just three of us, we rented the Class-C 31' RV that sleeps 9. The staff was quite helpful answering questions, letting me come and look at the two available types and quickly taking our application and money. On pickup day, they gave us a quick walk through and this is where the problems started. There was significant damage to the driver's side of the vehicle, someone rubbed it against a wall or something. It had been partially repaired, but was a little worrisome. The rear bumper had also been dented several times and had some rust (important later). Additionally, there was a crack in the front windshield that neither I nor the staff noticed until we left the lot. The inside was fine, clean and comfortable if a little worn. We asked to see that the slides, furnace, stove and water heater working. Unfortunately, I did not ask to see the oven, radio or backup camera. I assumed these things would be functional, but none of these items worked on our trip. Even when we returned the unit, they couldn't get the oven to work and said "oh yeah, the radio/backup camera is broken and we ordered a new one". Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Other than the items above, the other major problem was that the 'dump hose' for the wastewater was stored *in* the bumper. It took the employee a few minutes to find it during the walk around. She opened a little cap on the bumper pointed to it and closed the cap. I should have asked for more. Once we needed to dump, we couldn't get the hose out. It was trapped in the bumper due to the damage described above. Infact, I was able to pull it out partially and someone before had tried the same because it was torn and falling apart. We called and they suggested to go buy a hose and get reimbursed. Ok, fine. But the campground store (Land between the Lakes) had closed for the season and we were 30 miles from the nearest town that 'might' have a hose, on a Sunday. So we stopped using the shower and toilet and returned the tanks full. Overall, the extra space was great and, while it drove like a big RV, the driving part went very well. Gas mileage was in the 8-10 range as you might expect. Despite our problems they didn't discount the rental rate. We obviously didn't need to pay their dump fee, but some consideration for the issues would have been appropriate. If you decide to rent from Northsides ask to see ALL systems functioning before you drive off. read more

Seems like all I have ever gotten was the runaround and they keep saying that they care about the customers! I found the negative review left for this business to be quite the contrary. I purchased an RV in FL and while driving back to frigid degree's in OH I called to see if they could winterize it. They got me right in and were very professional & friendly. Francine in service went out of her way to be helpful. I left there and when I stopped for gas I noticed a low tire so I went back and asked if they could help. A nice young man Shane aired and checked all my tires free. Also while waiting to be serviced I observed the sales person being nothing but friendly. I give this place 5 stars. read more

We wanted a Chevy this was the only dealer we found that had one in stock When the salesman says trust me I would not lie to get a sale ,you better be ready to leave.From our salesman ( Tim ) to GM. nothing but lies came from them, The mechanic that gave us orientation was 15 minutes, every time we ask a question his reply was it's in the book, All he was interested in was going home at 5 pm. Try calling the service dept, get message we will return your call, In 28 days no one ever returned a call. Spare tire was missing from motor home,Tim answer was that model doesn't come with spare tire, We ask if the dealership would split the cost of a spare time his reply I will let you know as of today ,Have never heard back, Customer service sucks once the get your money. Northside Family RV made a tricky repair to my camper van under difficult circumstances, quickly and efficiently, and at a very reasonable price. A replacement part had been sent to me from Germany but with no instructions and no obvious way for it to be installed. They contacted the company but got no input, then found instructions online and completed the installation. I was back on the road! Terrible service experience. I purchased my Primetime Avenger new from Northside RV In 2015. The slide seal failed causing water damage to the floor. I took the camper to Northside in August to begin the process to see if primetime would cover under manufacturer defect. The would not. I then filed a claim with my insurance company. Northside never submitted the quote to my insurance company. The camper sat till January with nothing done or anyone contacting me. I thought it was just a long repair. We finally got that corrected and when the camper was finally fixed more items inside the camper were broken (trim pieces, outside damage, etc) so I refused to accept the camper. The second trip the camper was repaired but when I got home I found the awning had been hit and the sheet metal torn. I contacted Dustin the service manager at Northside and he would not do anything about it and said they didn't same it. It was not broken when I delivered it. Also I found both propane cylinders tuned on and completely empty. Will never purchase or take my camper there for service again. Finally got camper back in May. read more

A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! I have waited to put this review on here in hopes that they would correct all that is wrong since I took my RV in for service a year ago but things have only gotten worse! We bought our RV February 2018, the sales part went fine and staff was great but when it came to getting some warranty work completed by the service center that has been a mess! I would rather sell my RV and take a loss than to have to deal with them any longer. We live in Louisville so have to drive to Lexington every time we need service.. We took the RV in for warranty repairs and dropped if off June 2018 with a list of about 10 items that needed to be fixed. 8 weeks and many not returned phone calls later we had to pick the RV up as we had to use it for a trip, they told us everything was fixed, and it appeared it was until we used the rv and realized different.. the black water tanks were still leaking, the propane line was still leaking, the couch was never fixed, the brackets for the back patio were still missing, and much more.. I believe only 1 of the 10 things was actually fixed.. I spoke to the service manager many times and also the main manager, and sent emails that were not responded to. This went on from September - until March. In April we scheduled a new appointment for May 10th with the service manager who said he noted exactly what we needed fixed and would be sure it got taken care of, I told him that they could only have it 3 weeks this time so to be sure to order all parts that were needed to be sure it was there and could be completed in time. When we dropped the rv off we went over this same thing with the service center.. We went to pick up the rv on June 1st and it doesn't look like it had been touched. All of the same items are STILL not repaired. I called and left a message for the service manager to call me ASAP but never received a call so we called back and spoke to the main manager again and was told he would call me back that day.. This was 3 days ago!!! I am disgusted with this place, the employees don't care and management doesn't care! Not even a phone call back! NEVER AGAIN. read more

Worst customer service!! Looking to buy a class A , found a nice used one there . Started looking at it , we tried starting it no go , Dead big time ! First it took 2 hours for someone to come with a jump box ( that was dead too ) . After four hours they got it running . We milled around in it for a while and decided to go in and get the info on it . We left mostly cuz they were closed already. Called two days later to get the ball rolling ( and to get our trade in priced out ) that was two weeks ago , we have call a hand full of times ! We were looking for a class A motor home and could not find anyone who even acted like they wanted to show us anything. We finally decided to go look on our own, thinking if someone saw that we were interested enough to look someone would come out to answer our questions.........WRONG!!!! I have brought two new batteries for my Class C motor home from Batteries Unlimited in Winchester KY. The batteries keep draining. I went to Northside RVs four or five times in a 1 1/2 to find out why the batteries are draining. We are always disconnecting and taking out the batt. to charge them. Something is making them drain and they wouldn't charge on their own. What's making them drain?The last visit they charged me $300.00 and that's not for parts. It was for checking for electrical problem and charging the batteries. They even said that they hooked up one of their batt. and it still did work. That's why they decided to look for a electrical problem. They called me to pick up my Class C and when I did, it was a mess. Wires hanging out the wall, outlets were not put back and things not put back the way I left it. Really, very wired. When I told them about it, they sent a man in to put back everything. As he was doing that, I was telling him about how they called me to pick up my RV and this is what they left me with. I'm thinking now, it must have been him that left the mess, because he got mad and said "I'm not doing this" and stormed out of the RV. My husband and the sales man look at me and said "what did you say" Wow....Blew my mind. Real professionally, if you ask me. Anyway. They told me I would have to buy new batteries (from them of course) and I told them that I just brought those batteries 6 months ago. I'm not about to pay another $300 so soon for new batt.. I went back to Batteries Unlimited and he charged up the batt. and added fluid to them and if I had any problems, he would install the batt. into the RV. Mind you, Northside said they charged and put their batt. in the RV and it has to be the electrical problem. I went to the owner to tell him I was over charged, because they didn't find any electric problems that they insisted needed to be done. If they would have just did a better job checking the batt. and replacing it with theirs, like they said. Then the unnecessary $298.00 labor charged would not have been needed. He gave me 1hr free service on my next visit. Like I would take my RV back to them again. That was two years ago. Service sucked then. Not sure what's going on now, but still afraid to go back as of now. If I do, I'll get a second opinion. To make a long story short. The batt. started to drain again. My husband was very determine and went online and fixed the problem with a 5 dollar part. We haven't had a problem with the RV sense. The moral of this is: We paid them $298.00 service fee (no parts) that didn't need to be done. All because they were to lazy to research or they just didn't know what they were doing or how to solve the problem. We did our own research and fixed the problem with a $5.00 part plus shipping and handling. Never was and electrical problem. read more
