First time wiring a negative review. One of the front desk ladies is very unprofessional and doesn't know how to approach and communicate to customer in a proper and respectful way. I called to make a new appointment for my eye check but the front desk lady told me I have a balance due of $120 from years ago. Firstly, I paid the copayment and EVERYTHING they ASKED me to pay before I left the office. Secondly, I didn't receive any bills or invoices after my visit!!! I understand it could be something going wrong but the front desk lady repetitively emphasized in a weird tone "l'm not trying to accuse you" "you didn't contact us so this is what happening". Trying to push it back as making it a customer's fault?! I don't understand how I would know and understand the balance due if I never received anything after my visit. How could it be a customer's responsibility/must-do thing to call a doctor's office after every visit to check the balance due (especially I already paid what the office asked me to pay before I left)? If in this logic, does it mean I must initiatively and proactively call to all the doctors to confirm if there're any due balances after all my visits, otherwise it'll be my fault?! After back and forth on who said what, I tried to pull the conversation back to the main point - why is there a balance due in your system that I'm totally unaware of? I don't understand If something really went wrong, should the representative be patiently explaining the situation to the customer firstly and then discuss in details? I'm very upsetting about the way of communication that Dr Hollier's front desk used. I feel very offended. I hope the doctor's office could see my review and conduct corresponding customer service trainings to improve customer's visit experience. read more

Excellent eye exam from a wonderful professional optometrist!! I highly recommend going to Hollier Eyecare!! I was seen by another professional optometrist last year in Rockville for the first time. A friend recommended them. The glasses I ordered were extremely expensive due to the low volume of glasses that I found to fit me. The style I selected and the lenses I required were to provide near and far vision correction. After waiting three weeks, I received the glasses with an incorrect prescription. I said I was very disappointed in their service and said thank you, but I would go elsewhere. I was then told that was not possible without a penalty fee for the services they provided. I said I would seek legal assistance and they suddenly changed their mind. My money was refunded. How unprofessional. I don't think they are in business any longer. read more

I was the last appointment and actually running a little late, I was anxious upon arrival expecting them to be unhappy with me. But they were surprisingly nice and patient! I completed all my paperwork online in advance so they had all my insurance information pulled up and ready to go. Before Dr. Hollier brought me back to the exam room, the staff members ensured that everything was cleaned and sanitized. Dr. Hollier and I were both required to wash our hands thoroughly before starting the exam. You can tell they really take COVID protocols seriously - which I appreciate! Dr. Hollier is incredibly knowledgeable, straight forward and patient. She was also very warm and made me feel comfortable right away. She was easy to talk to and addressed all of my concerns immediately. My wife came in with me to have her glasses adjusted, and Dr. Hollier was so thorough that she even addressed a concern I had with my wife's glasses even though she wasn't her patient. I was really impressed. The front desk staff is also very nice and accommodating! The office is very modern, clean and has a great selection of frames. The prices are standard. Parking is easy. We moved to the area right before the pandemic, and have been looking for a good eye doctor. I'm so glad to have found Dr. Hollier, my wife and I will be going to her moving forward! read more

I needed a regular eye exam and new contact lenses and Dr. Hollier was an excellent optometrist. It was easy to get an appointment not far in advance and the location is great. The office is in very good condition and Dr. Hollier and the staff were professional and made the visit easy. My insurance was accepted without any issues. Last month I went there to have eye exam and get new glasses for my son. Eye exam was shorter than other eye doctor's. She was hurry to exit to the office because our appointment was the last one. The staff was not professional and she charged me double for UV coating even though the transition lens already had the UV coating. When I called the staff told me the coating are different so I had to double check with my husband's eye doctor about that. After I told them I learned about UV coating from other eye doctor, they gave me a refund. They are far from the professionals and I will not go back to that office again. read more

I got a very thorough eye exam, and she took the time to answer all of my questions (I hadn't seen an optometrist in awhile, and there were a lot of changes in my eyesight) patiently and completely. So I used to live in this area and I saw that new eye place opened. I'm a big fan of supporting smaller businesses as opposed to mega chain stores. So I set up an appointment, which was very easy then I came in and got my eye appointment done. Dr. Ann Hollier is such a sweetheart. I have really bad vision and when they see my prescription, she didn't even flinch. I've had people make rude comments to me. Dr. Hollier was so professional. She took her time with me and I never felt like I was being rushed. She made me feel like she valued me as a customer. I picked out my new glasses and their selection is very good. They have a lot of high end designer frames with different styles. It's not a big store but their inventory is excellent. My visits to Eyes for you were very pleasant. Dr. Hollier and her staff are friendly and professional. She's very meticulous and seems to genuinely care about the health of my eye. I usually wear contact lenses, and have always had a hard time finding glasses that fit my face. I had had it with VSP. I paid hundreds every year in premiums. Then I paid hundreds more for (supposedly) covered eye-wear and exams. All the optometrists were small boutique stores where economics of scale was a dirty phrase. They were in for the money. Heck, they promised you a copy of your prescription but they conveniently forgot to give it to you. That way, you always went back there. I wasn't going to renew next year, blah, blah, blah, I swore. Then, on a whim, I called Dr. Hollier. I was traveling abroad and I needed a copy of my prescription. No problem, the doctor said. Wow! That's a first. I went to the office. I got a complete check-up with a thorough explanation. She was competent and professional. She thinks like the patient. She doesn't want you to overpay. I paid little out-of-pocket, because she explained, I had really good VSP coverage. A good and honest doctor. Today, I picked up my glasses. The staff sounded like they cared for my well-being.
