Requested a concrete 4" curb with 12" header for monument at rural cemetery located in Fannin county. Wanted a 4" depth at ground level with 3/8" rebar reinforcement. We just had Ryan do a renovation - building out and enclosing a patio to create a 4 season sunroom and added a roofed cedar posted patio outside of that. We make so much use of the new living spaces, it's like having a new house again (and our house is just 3 yrs old). Love his work, his open communication with us, and reasonable pricing. The technician worked neatly and carefully to replace light bulbs in lamps that were on very high ceilings. Scaffolding had to be set up for safe access. Holloway Construction repaired floors in our 40 year old home. The project was significant for our home as it involved tearing out carpet in 6 rooms, replacing wood in 3 of the rooms and cabinet. They also had to treat for bacteria and some mold caused by water damage. In addition there was a wall in our house which was sinking down due to a lack of bracing supports during the houses original construction. The Holloway team raised the wall back up and built bracing supports under it to prevent reoccurrence. The carpeting in all 6 rooms was replaced with wood laminate flooring. The project also required the team to move furniture around multiple times as I am 60 with a partially paralyzed hand and my 82year old mother were unable to move the furniture. Ryan the company owner was out at the house daily to check on his team's progress. Tony the team leader arrived at the house on time every morning and would stay late into the evening working on the project. The project cost I feel was excellent when you consider the scope of the project. Prior to the project we attempted to obtain multiple contractor quotes and Holloway Construction was the only ones to follow thru. The floors and all of the work done was excellent and Ryan, Tony and the rest of the Holloway team were very easy and great to work with. Beware of Ryan Holloway - he is truly a con-artist who secured the deposit from me for the construction of a small garage build. From day 1, he made excuses on the scope of the work, started late, and kept asking for additional payments. He cut every corner possible; framed the structure for 8' interior walls instead of 9' and then try to talk his way past it - when I called him out, he acknowledged the mistake and complained about how he thought this would be an easy project. Moreover, he is unaware of the trades and was soliciting both my neighbor and I for subcontractors to hire. Tried to bring his friend for electrical work with underpowered wiring through my attic when I chose to fire him before he burns down my house. I did consult a lawyer as I have a legitimate case for a lawsuit but halted on that to save additional waste of my time on this ridiculous crook. I have kept all the records and voicemails in case Ryan gives me more grief - his roofing subcontractor was never paid and tried to collect from me as this so-called general contractor told him that the homeowner never paid him anything. Save yourself some time and suffering - you will most definitely get better quality, service, and pricing from just about anyone else! read more
