Last year, I asked Roger to install security features into my home as I recently was going through a breakup and had a big home to myself and my 7-year-old son. I had him install an outdoor ring camera (which he connected to my internet, as well, before he left knowing that it was working and ready to scan the premises), an OnGUARD Door Reinforcement for my front door, a screen metal door for my back door, a Door Barricade Bar for my master bedroom and a sensor light for my backyard (photos pictured). Let's just say, I feel sooo much safer in my home than I did before Roger installed all of this. I have used Roger multiple times (bike and light installations) and will continue to hire him for any projects. His flexibility and his dedication for excellent builds/assemblies are unmatched. I needed someone to assemble some Ikea cabinets for a laundry room (seeing as "Handyman Assembly" was listed as a service that they provide). Then - NOTHING. I waited a few days. I sent an email following up. NOTHING. Finally, a full two weeks after my initial inquiry, I received this email response: Hi steve, I'm so sorry about such a delayed response. I'm sure you've already booked someone. I did review the specs, it's out of the project's too small, we just don't deal with these types of cabinets. We're more so specialized in closet cabinets and similar. Best, Roger Chong Owner Bilt Rite Furniture Assembly & Installation Sorry Roger, fail. I would have appreciated a prompt "sorry your job is too small" response so that I could have moved on. So don't go to them with a small job or Ikea cabinets. That also included demolition and minor repairs. Due to my work schedule, she was really flexible with my installation dates. I decided to make it easier for the installers and moved everything out of the house and into storage so that they can work efficiently without obstacles. The two installers arrived on time and began the demolition and minor repairs. Velia also suggested various options for the repairs needed based on her experience and expertise. Once the demolition and repairs were made, the installers began installing the luxury vinyl planks at such a mind-boggling pace. By lunch time, they were determined to finish the project in one day. They called for reinforcements and two more installers arrived. With four installers, they completed the entire project by late afternoon. I was thoroughly impressed by their efficiency, professionalism and expertise. Having an 80+ year old house, not every room has a level floor any longer. After a few days, I noticed some of the planks lifting and/or not settling correctly. I called Velia and immediately she contacted her installers. We scheduled a return visit for the installers for an inspection and necessary repair. They arrived and took care of the issues. We love our new floors! It's like a new house for us! I had a bad feeling about this as he would not give me a bid in writing but said he would send an invoice when we booked the job, but he did not do so. Please be very wary. I sent him away and he didn't even seem very surprised nor did he argue with me nor plead his case.
