The proprietor, Autumn, met us there to go through the electronics and the other details, and before I showed with all my snacks and flowers, she'd already put white tablecloths on all five (huge) tables, and pulled out additional smaller tables for pictures and memorabilia. At $400/year with an additional $365 fee (for a repair that has yet to happen) you'd think that they'd be kinder to members: willing ask questions to find out more information, give members the benefit of the doubt or simply just speak to them kindly. But no, several times these new staff members have been aggressive, combative and simply unkind. Especially so to my teenager, a rule following card carrying member. Every time she comes by, she gets yelled at and told that she's not following the rules, which seem to change from person to person, day to day. It's just too bad when something you've adored for so long and was once a place of peace is now a place where entitled staff consistently find new ways to be less than kind to their customers.

The décor (done by French Creek Manor) was also not up to standard, and there were multiple issues throughout the event. When these concerns were raised, the owner refused to acknowledge that the problems were due to mismanagement. There was no accountability or effort to resolve the situation. I strongly recommend against hosting your event at this property.

Our ceremony was in November so we had an indoor ceremony in the chapel area and loved the reception area. We had such a beautiful ceremony! The bridal suite was perfect and had plenty of room for everyone to get dressed in one area and have hair/makeup done in the other. The grooms room was far enough away to make sure no one peaked until it was time. We also had such beautiful grounds to take pictures in. It was too cold and rainy for an outdoor gazebo ceremony. But the pictures we took there are going to be magical. We didn't really have to do too too much to the venue itself for decorating because there is so much natural charm and beauty to the venue. I also have to mention the exclusive catering company, Wooden Spoon. I was nervous to have them as our only option but we had the most delicious meal and received sooo many compliments. Tyler was able to work within our budget and not make it feel like we compromised at all. They also have an awesome rental room with so many decor pieces that we didn't have to worry about bringing with us or taking out of the space. I know I'm biased but it was the best wedding I've been too!

The facility has a large new banquet room with kitchen, great lobby, and restrooms, pretty courtyard and some smaller rooms to rent as well. There is not much parking in the parking lot and even less if the City has rented part of the lot to the Farmer's Market during the summer. There is equipment (tables and chairs) that come with the room but you have to do all the set up. Price was good for small event budget and rental staff was helpful and friendly. The City could do more to make this a great rental choice for a reception or party.
