Well for starters this story has been around as long as I have been a resident, over 25 years now. Their prices are beer and liquor is very decent, I have found bottles of liquor that should be 50% more in cost. I love their selection as well, I would be damned if you can't find anything you are looking for. Their service is great, the cashiers are friendly, and their open times are good, especially for such a small town. Jimmy is one of the coolest dudes I've met, I knew his father and mother and both weee very good, honest, and hardworking people. No doubt Jimmy inherited the good service, respect, and dedication he shows his patrons from them. The liquor store itself is small but the selection is incredible, for it is a very good atmosphere every time I visit. They have everything you need for a party, a small get together, or just for one. They added a cigar room not too long ago which adds to the atmosphere if that is your thing. Why am I reviewing a liquor store? Well...this liquor store is pretty awesome for a few reasons! Reason 1: They Sell T Shirts! A few months ago I was short on T-shirts and I found out through a buddy that this liquor store had some in stock. I'm obviously not a fashionable person since I'm buying 8 dollar shirts at a liquor store, but if you just need a simple plain black T-shirt this spot has you covered. Can't say the same about most liquor stores. Reason 2: Great beer selection So while it may be expected for a liquor store to sell beer, if you've been to a lot of them you'll know that not all liquor stores are created equal. This one doesn't just carry Coronas and Heinekens. You're sure to find a good brew to suit your needs here. Reason 3: Manhattan Beach Creamery They've taken advantage of their close Proximity to Manhattan Beach Creamery and are stocked up on their Ice Creamwiches, which are delicious! I'm a fan of their Milk Chocolate Covered one. Reason 4: Cookie Zombie Another unique thing this liquor store offers is freshly baked cookies from a local bakery, Cookie Zombie! I do have to mention that I've only tried their Sugar Cookies which is all they had for Halloween and I wasn't a huge fan of the taste, though they did look pretty cool (pic posted. I prefer chocolate chip, though still think fresh cookies at a liquor store is awesome! Have to come back and try the chocolate chip. Reason 5: Cigars While I don't smoke cigars I think it's pretty unique for a small liquor store to have a whole section for those that do. I am a resident of El Segundo and I always prefer to support local businesses when possible. However, a few days ago I purchased a disposable nicotine vape from Hollymain Liquor for $13. once I got home I discovered that the item was defective. I went back the next day with my receipt and asked the cashier to simply exchange it for another one of the same type. The lady said she couldn't do that but she called the owner to ask if she could. His response was "once we've sold it there is nothing we can do about it." Wouldn't give me a refund or exchange or store credit or anything. Bottom line DON'T GO HERE!!!
