But maybe do the motivational speech at 4:50 instead of making customers stand outside after your posted opening time? They finally opened the doors around 5:10. Once seated, our server introduced himself by saying he was also one of the chefs, and apparently everyone dressed in white both cooks and serves. I didn't really understand the concept, but honestly, I don't care who brings the food as long as the food is good. These are what we ordered: SQUID -- This tasted like it had been marinated directly in seawater. Painfully salty. I genuinely did not understand the dish at all. Boiled squid with egg salad? Why? They're $15, but to be fair they give you an absurd amount of fries -- basically an entire fry boat. They also serve them with house-made ketchup and aioli, which sounds great... except they give you about a thimble worth of sauce. I started noticing almost every other table with fries had huge piles left over and completely ran out of sauce early on. At that point it almost feels intentional because there's no way the restaurant hasn't noticed this pattern already. Overall, this is the kind of place where you go for the scenery, people watching, drinks, atmosphere, and social experience more than for mind-blowing food.
