It's cute, retro, and worth the price. Walking in thought it was going to be dirty, just based on the overall look, but i've seen dirtier rooms in a Hampton. It's incredibly close to the beach aswell! My only note is that the showers do have hot water, but it's night and day either you take a burning hot shower or a freezing cold shower, no in between. I js skipped a shower the night I stayed. But any hot water is hot water! Overall loved it. read more

I have stayed here twice. This is a great affordable hotel very near to the beach and there are places to eat nearby. It's perfect if you want quick beach access and do not plan to stay in the room much. The hotel is broken into several shabby chic-ish buildings. The first time we stayed in building C. Otherwise room was small but tidy. The furniture is cheap and showed some water damage on the legs. The bed was comfortable. The shower was huge and amazing. The second time we were in the building that looks like a coral house. It was a small suite. There is a day bed in the living room and a queen bed in the bedroom. The room was clean. The queen was comfortable and I slept well. There is an iron and hairdryer. The office staff are super helpful. Overall it's a clean place to stay overnight, close to the beach but don't expect luxury. read more

(We have the receipt) (We received 2 parking citations in the amount of $250.00 ) To date, the hotel hasn't done anything to take care of this matter. Stayed here for 3 days and booked through a third party (Amex), which made it hard to deal with when I needed on-site assistance. I appreciate how close it was to the beach, genuinely two minutes and you're on the boardwalk/beach. The staff was fine.. housekeeping didn't come for 2 of the 3 we were there which was frustrating, especially when were woken up very early in the morning by what sounded like vacuuming, even though supposedly housekeeping comes from 11am-4pm. A bit odd. Parking was hell; it's $12 a day to park and you are guaranteed a spot within their property, but it is all one-way streets and barely distinguishable from the surrounding properties. Just feels cheap to get an extra 20,30,40 dollars out of guests for parking. I am thankful that we had hot water when we needed it, but I'm not surprised other Yelpers reported not having hot water. As I was checking out, the person behind me reported they did not have hot water during their journey. Our fridge did not work; upon arriving it did not work, and when we checked out and reported it the staff did not seem that concerned about it. Just take out the fridge from the room if you don't want to fix it.. odd. If you're leaving your house to go to a hotel, you should at least be able to expect the minimum that you would get at your own home, including water temperature. ROOM 96 -It's really loud, backs up to the service entrance of a large hotel. Service trucks and huge generator can be heard very loudly in your room all times of the night & early morning. -No counter space: only a sink and the use of a toilet top to put items on. -The night time crowd is a little sketchy around the hotel. -Walls are paper thin and windows are old and single pane. -The people (and their small children) in the room behind our bed, could be heard, word for word. -Room was clean -Bed mattress was comfortable. Not a great experience. The hotel was 3 stars on Expedia but felt like a 2 star motel. It was rundown and gross. We checked for bed bug signs so thankfully didn't find any but you got a creepy feeling from the bed, like you weren't sure it was clean. The bed was very uncomfortable too. The bathroom needed a major overhaul, paint chipped and chipped tub drain too. Never coming back here. Overall besides that, the room was clean and so it gets an extra star for that. read more

I stayed here for the first time back in November 2019. It was nothing to write home about, but at the time I think I paid $70 for the night which was a steal! However, on my most recent trip, I came to regret my decision to stay here, especially after paying $415 for two nights. I was with my girlfriend and we flew in from NJ that morning. Now, I'm aware that places will have check-in times that are a little later, but this place has a check-in time of 3pm. I was not aware of that, but that is totally my own fault. The reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of how I was treated when I asked for an early check-in at 1pm. I didn't think that was unreasonable, even offered to pay extra. My girlfriend and I had to bring our bags to the beach and kill 2 hours. Apparently they let some people leave their bags in the office, but no one mentioned that as a possibility. No early check-in, I get that, but at least try to be somewhat accommodating. Lost a customer who used to mention this place to people in NJ--not anymore. If the prices are close, choose Margaritaville. If not, this isn't the worst place to stay. Only thing that bothered me about the room was that the walls are so thin that you can hear the conversations from people outside. read more

THe rooms are fine but the trickery isn't. When you go to book it states "parking available." However, upon arrival, you are soon to learn that it's paid parking - $12 a day. "Parking available" is misleading since there is always parking if you are willing to pay for it. The inference os "parking available" it that's its available to their guests at no charge. Otherwise, be conspicuous and state "paid parking available." I'll never stay there again or recommend this place! read more

We reserved this spot with a hotel+flight. We arrived early in the day and were able to leave our stuff in the office to explore the broadwalk while we waited on our room. Staff was super friendly and the room was spacious and clean- we had a boutique. Loved the kitchenette where we could cook daily. Location was superb (just a min to the broadwalk and beach). The available beach towels and chairs made it convenient. The only suggestion would be more comfortable beds (not awful, but a 3.5). We will definitely be returning again for vacation and will choose this place! read more

We planned 3 days and nights at Hollywood beach for our vacation and chose this place for our stay. Our room was ready when we got here and it was a short walk to the beach...like1/2 block. NIce place ! So many places walkable nearby. Room was comfortable and had a kitchenette....which means we went to Publix and bought things for a very convenient breakfast and lunch. This cute, clean, and comfortable place was perfect for a short trip for my husband and I. The units are all on one floor and are grouped together like apartments. This place is conviently located next to the beach. Chairs and beach towels were perfect for our stay. We felt safe here. The only thing I would have liked to see was an in room safe. Overall I would stay here again. Pro's - very close to the beach. There are alot of good options for food on the boardwalk. We stayed in room 67 (queen bed, 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen, twin sofa coach thing) and it was very spacious. It was like a mini one bedroom apartment. It was comfortable for the 5 days we stayed there. Con's- there isn't enough staff at the property/front desk. There was only one tiny garbage bin in our room which was located in bathroom. This got fully very quickly but we weren't told where to empty it ourselves. Expedia mentioned there was cleaning daily but when we got there we were given a sign that stated there is no housekeeping due to covid. The room should have been cheaper if that was the case. When it came to exchanging bath towels the option was to bring your dirty ones to the main office to swap them out. Luckily our room wasn't too far but having house keeping take care of this would have been easier. The bedroom ceiling light didn't work. There were two bedside lamps in the bedroom but only one outlet close enough to be able to plug in one. There aren't alot of outlets in the room overall so the one outlet being taken up by the lamp was inconvenient. The ceiling fan and ac cooled off the room but they are ridiculously loud. With the boardwalk being so close sometimes we could hear music blasting from the streets. Overall it was a good stay read more

Happy with room, better than expected. The smaller hotels in Hallandale tend to be very dated and somewhat dirty. I had room 83, which is a "standard room" it has steep stairs for a pregnant woman but the room actual room was well distributed. Comfortable location to the beach, centrally located. The entry way was very nice to have, and the kitchen included a toaster, microwave, small stove top and even a full functioning refrigerator which all was very convenient. The bedroom was nice and clean, which is all one wants. The bed is made of springs and not fluffy like some hotel beds but it was just find for us, just in case that makes a difference for you. Bathroom was clean and modern, I was relieved to see this. Again, the smaller motel/hotels in Hallandale tend to be dated and the bathrooms get the biggest hit, in between the sand and traffic that comes through it. So I can speak for room 83 which was nice and clean. Other amenities: their is only one pool which is small and far off from the beach (in front the office, and right next to the busy street) but they did a pretty good job at hiding it so oncoming traffic is not watching. One great feature is that they rent to you complimentary beach chairs and beach towels. I found that to be wonderful. Overall I was happy with my stay. We stayed here for 1 night prior to our cruise leaving out of Miami. Beginning with the front desk staff! They were fast and friendly! Check- in process was flawless! Loved that you get beach towels and chairs for your stay! Steps away from the boardwalk where you will find plenty of restaurants and shops... Never felt unsafe( and I'm a big chicken). Rooms were clean. Water pressure in bathroom could be better, but definitely not a deal breaker. I read reviews that said parking was an issue.... not with us and we were there Super Bowl Sunday. read more

Hola from Miami! Need a cheap room near Hollywood Beach? This cute little boutique hotel is great as long as you get the right room. The first time we stayed here, we got stuck in some sketchy Spartan deal on the first floor overlooking the street and constant stream of drunk people. You had to enter through a door in a dark alleyway, and it was lack luster all around. The up side is that the place is pretty cheap, steps from the beach, and is outstandingly immaculate. And I'll take clean and sparse over fanfare any day. Our second trip, we requested a second floor room and got it. Not only did it feel much safer and more private, it had an apartment sized fridge and a kitchenette! Being here for 3 days and being used to our own bathrooms, the second sink came in handy. Again, the room is so clean you could probably eat off the floor. My last comment is that the staff is wonderfully helpful and accommodating. Everyone is very nice, and they have bite size candy bars at the front desk. The good ones, like Snicker and Twix; none of those crappy nondescript hard fruit candies from who-knows-where. Rooms were nice, not fancy but just what I expected from a motel so close to the beach. Stopped in with no reservation one of the busiest times of the year (middle of Feb) and got a room with no trouble. Would recommend staying here to anyone. Me and my friend immediately landed in Florida and upon arriving to the hotel the front desk lady was very sarcastic when informing us that she canceled our reservation 30 minutes before we got there. I Was told we pay when get there but for some reason she tried to charge us before we even showed up. Then continued to argue with us that she tried to call us and sent an email. No one received said email and we were literally on an airplane so we clearly didn't receive any call. Tried giving her a different form of payment and she continued to keep charging the wrong card and was just super rude the entire time. We ended up just going to a different hotel because we did not care to give them our business, the place looked better in the pictures anyways so we were happy to leave. read more

We rented a jr.suite. Full Kitchen, fridge, all was great. Pool, BBQ for your use. Great patio. I love the fact that this was a SMOKE'FREE CAMPUS. Nothing worse then a smoker invading your airspace. No problems here, step out and enjoy our patio. We have found our place in Hollywood. Already plan on returning!! I HIGHLY recommend.!! read more

The location is great, just a short walk to the Broadwalk and beach. We only stayed one night, the room was big, one bedroom with a full kitchen. It was so noisy, though. There was a party going on in the courtyard just outside our room until 1 or 2 in the morning. It sounded like the windows were open but they weren't. We could hear everything from outside. There was also a bunch of people coming in and out of the room below us, and they were very loud. When we checked out we were not asked how our stay was or anything, the people in the office didn't even seem to care that we were there. It was the same when we checked in, there were a bunch of people that worked there in the office just standing around, eating and drinking, kind of like they were having a party. It was not a pleasant stay and we would not go back. Very disappointing, especially for the price. read more

This place is nothing I would normally book but had to last minute for just 1 night. The location was the only highlight with it being a few steps away from the beach and boardwalk. The hotel manager lady named Elgy was rude and unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all. They need to hire a new manager with some Customer Service skills. read more

Staff forced us to lower music because structure is not designed to have medium level music in the afternoon. We were basically getting kicked out due to medium level music. If you are thinking on having a decent miami like day, stay away from this place. On the other hand if you are 60+ and hate music, you are welcome all day. I really enjoyed this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. We stayed here Dec 16, 2014. It has the feel of a B&B more than a hotel. Our room had the kitchen inside which was fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, and plates which was a great deal considering the Extended Stay America's we've stayed at charge extra. Unless you want to pay a couple hundred a night to stay in a newly built resort, all of the other little hotels were built in the 60's. You'll see some paint chipping, etc, but this place was clean and well kept. They had laundry facilities, fast wifi, and even what looked like a couple community bbqs which we never used. True, there is noise from the construction next door (I'm sure the staff hate it too), but we are pretty heavy sleepers so we weren't bothered. I'm sure you could request a room further away. I'm giving four stars because you have to pay $6/night parking which is annoying. But the location and quaint, clean room made up for any other issues. Definitely recommend. read more

You are paying for location here. Hollywood Beach and Boardwalk are literally 2 minutes away on foot. The property itself is a bit old but the suites are clean and the staff is helpful. The walls are on the thin side so you will hear stuff going on outside or in adjacent rooms. There is a pool but it faces A1A. They'll also supply you with chairs and towels you can take to the beach. If you are looking for the complete resort experience, this is probably not the place. But, if you are just looking for a place to relax and shower between trips to the beach, this is the place. As of this review, the property next door is under construction so there is noise from that starting early in the morning. I always pack ear plugs so no issue ;) read more
