I also had a gropon (sort of) for this place and I gotta say, I enjoyed my stay. As the previous reviewer said it's literarly right across form the ocean which was AWESOME! The one thing I will say about this place is that parking was a bit of an issue. The lot was pretty small and we had trouble finding space (and parking on the street was a hassle as the parking meters there are 24 hours). We stayed in a studio which was nice, you could keep the bed up or down (one of those beds that went into the wall) so you could turn the place into a nice meeting area. The kitchen came with pots and pans and dishes which was great. For the studio, the AC was near the bathroom and closet so that wasn't an issue. One big plus was that the owner of the place gave me the groupon price when I called about availability. They said that the groupon promotion was over, but that they would honor that price since I called about it. I really liked that gesture and felt like they were trying to accomidate us. The other review was right though about the patio furniture, it was in our room as well. We had no ant problem and our room was on the 1st floor. Overall it was a good experience for the price that I paid. Certainly no the Ritz, but thats not what I was expecting. Oh also, the staff asks you if you plan on going to the beach and give you beach towels and beach umberllas and chairs, again, a really great thing to offer guests. I would stay here again but really hope they take care of the issue with parking.

    Two available spots

Had family visiting us from Ohio. Spent the day at the beach and had a great time. Come back to the room/pool area to have lunch and we're told that only guests are allowed in the pool. Nobody was even in the pool including our visiting family members that were guests. Then the short tempered woman that was a manager or something (Bivi) went to my truck to look inside. When I asked why there was so much hostility she decided to kick my family out. Do not recommend avoid at all costs. Attaching a picture of two available spots to prove how unbusy and unnecessary this all was

Housekeeping staff are super kind, and anything we needed arrived quickly! The negative: Don't waste your money! We paid $400+ per night (amenities included, valet separate) and found out the hotel sells $45/day passes to non-guests. We had an issue with our room, and the hotel could not move us because it was full. We were told we'd get 2 chairs, access to the private beach, and 2 welcome drinks. No chairs, all 4 days we were there (party of 8). The welcome drinks were gin, non-ach or wine... Service was extremely slow, the pool was overcrowded, and the staff was so cranky/rude that everyone seemed to dislike their job. For a hotel marketed as a remodeled, luxury spa retreat, this was disappointing and not what we paid for. The icing on the cake was waiting 30m+ to valet our car due to the influx of people coming and going, oh, and having to bring our own luggage up and down due to no carts. Spoke with Ricardo about our entire stay, and he just stared at my husband, then proceeded to say, "Well, when you go to Disney on a holiday weekend, it's going to be busy." Sir... when I go to Disney, I know it's going to be crowded because it's DISNEY. You're a Marriott selling $400+ rooms a night and over-crowding your hotel, causing your guests to not enjoy the amenities you're claiming to provide, then when we say we are unhappy, you don't even bother trying to work with us; you looked annoyed. I wish we read the comments before staying because it seems to be a recurring theme.

It is an ocean-view king room. This means the room is on the side of the building but still had a great view of the ocean. You enter valet on the northern side of the building. The valet Matt was quick, friendly and helped with my luggage. Valet is $44 a day. There was a short line at the front desk but there were two employees working and it went quick. The $45 resort fee covers chairs and umbrellas on the beach and two complementary drinks. You can pick from a small list of drinks including beer, g&t and wine. They also offer a morning exercise routine. Monday was yoga by the pool. The room was large with a nice modern design, a small couch and side table and a nice balcony with two chairs and a table. There was a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. We ordered room service and had breakfast out on the balcony one morning. There were games setup in one of the meeting rooms right outside the pool and free popcorn was offered daily. The pool was large with plenty of chairs but people did save seats early in the morning. I went down at 9am and there were about five seats not claimed and only around eight people at the pool. Everyone else started showing up to their saved chairs around 10am. The pool did get less crowded with fewer children as the day went on. By 3pm there were more open chairs available. The beach is right outside the gate. Along with the chairs and umbrellas there is a sand pit with toys for the kids, a tiki bar and volleyball net. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. It is in a very residential area so there aren't any shops or restaurants around to walk too. Everything is about a mile south near the pier. It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation which is exactly what I was looking for.

Hubby got unexpectedly stuck in Pompano Beach for several weeks while there on business, and they have treated him like family from day 1. He is absolutely not easy to please, but they have surpassed expectation and been absolutely wonderful to him. My boys and I went to visit this last weekend, and every single staff member we passed greeted my husband by name with a giant smile and a pleasantly helpful attitude. I think, besides hiring great people, this boils down to the manager of this hotel, who is stellar. He's got a great demeanor, is extremely knowledgeable about his trade and his hotel, and has trained his staff to a level surpassing much more expensive venues. The building, itself, is showing signs of its age, which is not unusual for a seaside place like this. The doors don't always want to open because they stick, the locks are finicky, at best, floors on some of the hallways have peeling paint here and there, and the bathroom leaked from above ours while we were there this weekend. THIS BEING SAID, however, every time we mentioned an issue, the staff was all over getting them fixed asap. They even went out and bought the hubster a coffee maker for the room when he complained that he didn't have one (evidently they aren't typically provided) AND they gave him a second mini fridge for some special meds he has to keep cold. I mean, who does that these days??? Nobody but them! When you are planning to be in the Ft Lauderdale/Pompano Beach area, try this resort-style waterfront hotel. They'll take good care of you and your family, guaranteed.

I've stayed here four times. The room itself is fine--basic Tru layout, clean enough sheets and…read moresurfaces--but the details fall short. Baseboards were filthy every visit, and the bathroom cleaning felt questionable (never quite confidence-inspiring). Parking is a consistent headache. The lot is a block over, and exiting with the plate reader is nearly impossible. The QR code only worked once across four stays, so plan on frustration. There are several destination EV chargers in the lot actual hotel round shaped lot , but they're useless--any car is allowed to park in those spots, so they've been blocked every single time I've been here. Don't count on charging. Front-desk service is the same person every visit and remains the same: zero smile, no hello, no please or thank you. Just the transactional "ID... use your card over here." It's impersonal and chilly. Breakfast is geared toward little kids and is mediocre for everyone else--always cold. Skip it and walk across the street for something better. The saving graces are the price (genuinely solid value) and the location. You're right near cool local spots and restaurants, which makes the stay workable if you're mainly using the hotel as a convenient, affordable base.Would I return? Only if the rate is low and I don't need reliable parking or charging. The location and cost keep it from being a complete write-off, but the cleanliness lapses, parking mess, blocked EV spots, and robotic desk service drag the experience down.aa

Then Carol sent in Jill. Jill is like Ursula in the Little Mermaid. She wants you to sign away your soul to the devil. She gave a rushed (10 min) explanation of what we should have And asked us to decide right now. Mind you were on vacation, have 3 kids waiting in our room & need more information but we're told we can't call back & ask questions to make sure we're making the right decision for us. They want a decision right now, so we decline. Jill then becomes VERY aggressive. Tells us to leave, not in a nice way. Why would I want to do anything with a company that behaves with no integrity, common sense, shows no compassion & only offers " Dont read the fine print, just sign!" ? Appalling behavior & totally untrustworthy!
