From Takashi Murakami, Austin Lee, Robert Indiana, and 23 other pieces by different artists in a series they call ArtWalk. They're very dog-friendly. We saw hundreds of dogs and their humans - not sure if there was an event or if this was just the norm here. But it was fun to watch cute little puppies. I visited during the World Cup and they had an area dedicated for it. They had a pop-up FIFA store which had items I wanted but haven't found at the stadiums. I was hesitant, but once me and Teddy, my dog, got inside. We came across several other pet owners. That's pretty cool! Teddy and I walked the length of the mall while my partner did her shopping. This is one of those high-end malls! But they also had some very good food vendors in the hallways where I got the majority of my snacks and I even got some snacks for Teddy. I was hoping the cute little dog park on the outside would be available to us, but it didn't open until 2:00 p.m. And we were at the mall fairly early. It was a great visit because most of the employees were dog friendly! I'll definitely have to make a trip back to this mall without a dog.

In 1994 this plaza became a bustling shopping extravaganza in east Hollywood for years until the Dania Pointe mega shopping center stole a majority of it's customers. The parking lot has adequate spaces to support the plaza activity. Entry into the plaza is simple off Sheridan Street and Stirling Road. The Dave and Busters, BJ's Wholesale Club, Home Depot, Ross, City Furniture and Miller's Ale House have continued to stay in business but unknown if they are thriving. The Regal Oakwood Theaters is finally permanently closed and now the new ultra modern Regal Cinema has opened in Dania Pointe directly across the street. The Gold's Gym and the Big Lots are also out of business. There are several EV stations at the NE corner of the plaza. In my opinion, within the next three years, the Dania Pointe will eventually destroy all hopes of this plaza's lifeline.

Most of the retail businesses that were here one year ago are long gone and almost all of the restaurants were completely empty. Meter parking is tight but plentiful weekdays. The area is very walkable. Most drivers are courteous when you cross in front of them and they yield to you. In an Ideal World, I think Pembroke Gardens should have an automatic covering for when it is super hot or rainy. That is the downfall of this shopping mecca, several months of the year it is just not fun to come here because of the weather. Parking is another issue. I really wish they would build a parking garage because there is usually a problem finding a parking spot on the weekend. That just puts me and then annoyed state of mind when I'm going to a fun place. Definitely come to Pembroke Gardens when you want a fun and memorable they are night out.

The mall gets a lot of pre and post cruise business. It's popular, so some times parking can be challenging. I've probably been here the most for the different restaurants -- from burgers to sushi. When I worked nearby and the weather was nice, I'd come for lunch and then stroll by the shops.

Las Olas is only two miles long to the east beach and construction is always in progress. Some of my favorite places in Las Olas is the Voodoo Bayou, WorthWyld and Roccos Tacos. The newly constructed Wayne Huizenga Park is an open area to walk near the New River and a few bars. The skyscraper condos along the New River cost 1M+ but have the views of yachts and river with the many ammenities of Las Olas Blvd only steps away.
