As someone who works professionally in comics and illustration, comic book stores are akin to a blood pressure machine: It's where I go to engage with my industry, check its pulse and lifeblood, and this place has been an ideal solution for all of the above. Anything that isn't on their very generous rack of new releases can be very easily ordered/subscribed to, with the added benefit of a 10% subscriber discount. They also have a very good selection of graphic novels and collected trade editions, both new and used. My only complaint is that I have to drive a long @$$ way to get there--*deep sigh* I live in North Idaho--but this store has been a tentpole to my continued sanity. North Idaho, as its name implies, doesn't put a lot of value on entertainment arts and culture (in my experience). Having a place like this even remotely nearby (about 2 hours drive from my house, but only 20 minutes from my work at North Idaho College) has helped make life worth living for me. I don't know that it's the only shop of its kind up this way, but it is certainly the best.

"They originally booked me for two nights with the option for two more if I couldn't return to the state park. When I couldn't go back, they extended my stay for the additional two nights with absolutely no questions asked. I have stayed at urban RV parks previously and understand what they are, so I have zero negative feedback. While the spaces are tight and there are a lot of permanent residents, everyone was incredibly friendly and quiet. I stayed on the side facing the reasonably quiet street next to I-90, so the interstate noise was minimal even at its worst. My site featured a brand-new, level concrete pad with full hookups, decent free internet, and convenient access to the clean laundry and bathroom facilities.
