I made an appointment with the same groomer as before. Waited 1 week for this appointment, got there with my boy and was told they would have to reschedule because it would take longer than she had left time for. I tried two different groomers who did not return my call. I went to Neighborhood Pet Shoppe and told the groomer, Shanyn, there what had happened with the previous groomers. She was very sweet and understanding. I told her how the knots were getting bigger from the camping trip.(It was the undergrowth of hair and no matter how I tried I could not get the knots out.) She told me she could make an appointment in 3 weeks. I booked the appointment. She texted me Saturday the day of the appointment told me she had a family emergency, Ok I'm good with that! Texted back and asked if I would have to wait another 3 weeks. She asked if I could come in that Monday. She even said she would give a 10 percent off for the inconvenience. I told her no need for that I was just glad he was going to be done Monday. At this point, I asked my husband why I had to wait 3 weeks when she fit me in the next day they were open. now I know why!!! I truly believe she never had intensions of grooming my dog that day. I got there and she said she could not do my dog that day. He probably would have to be sedated. She made me feel like an inadequate dog owner. She asked if I ever brushed my dog or bathed him. Very rude questions. She was told everything upfront including how bad the knots were. This is the problem nowadays, people do not know their place!! She maybe very good at grooming (I will never know because I will never go back to her) But her customer service is horrible!!! I will spread the word!! Long story not so short, I went to another groomer that day, showed them my boy and he will be groomed Wednesday!!! It has been almost a month and a half since this all started.

But I dropped them off at CCCA, they were super nice, took us on a tour, showed us the kennels and runs, and we headed out. I worried the whole time we were gone. Originally they said on their website they had doggie cams but they were no longer working :( . I checked in once and was a little concerned when the person seemed flippant about how our dogs were doing... hindsight, I realize that they get nervous dog parents all the time and this is how they have learned to deal with us. :) So we came back to pick them up, the were just finishing with their baths, I peeked into the window of the bathing prep area and saw one of the employees drying off one of our doggies, being so loving and gentle with him, even kissing him on the head and hugging him with the towel! That made my heart sing. They truly do love your dogs as if they were their own. I don't envy them their job as care takers of so many dogs. Some not as sweet and well trained as ours, too! They have a ton of patience. We are taking them tomorrow while we travel for a week, I will always worry, but I know they take good care of them when they are there!

It's dirty and staff are often times excused from responsibility for behaviors and actions toward the animals. The more I find out and the more pieces I put together over the last 8 years it makes sense. I often wondered why I had so many fraudulent purchases after my visits at CCC. It always happened about a week later. Change my card and bam again. It even happened when we only used them for daycare twice a week. Ask where they keep your card information. It's not locked up. Beware..just because they have been around awhile doesn't make them good people. I was fooled.

This place was able to take me and they were a fraction of the cost the other place wanted to charge me! Upon arrival I found it odd I could not just walk in. They come out to you at your car and bring you in one by one. But when they explained they have a no fear policy, they try to keep it as peaceful as possible so the dogs don't get scared. I actually love that. My dog is a giant BABY, not in age, but he gets very scared. Dr.Campbell was amazing with him! He would not stop barking (loudly) but he didn't lose his patience and was kind and got on the ground to pet him. They brought in some dog toys and tried all they could to make him comfortable. And the work he did was amazing as well. He needed stitches on his face and you can not even tell he had any now! Very glad I brought him here!!

He…read morehad a vet appt so we were just down the road, and had just groomed him myself the night before, but I'm nervous about sanitary grooms and hubby was out of town and not able to help me hold him so I called and they let me drop in and did a sanitary groom on him for me. They were very nice on the phone and in person, and very sweet to my puppy! While I know I am not a professional and my at home grooms are not perfect but they make him more comfortable than getting car sick on the way there and back. I keep him clean and mat free. They did not shame me for that or try and push getting him done there instead. She said bring him in anytime I needed help with the areas I'm not comfortable with. I have him shaped up professionally once or twice a year and from now on will make sure we go there instead of anywhere else!
