This is a shave? I can do this for free at home with a razor from the dollar store.
    Michael M.

Left with my face bleeding. Saw a groupon for 3 haircuts and a shave and decided to try. I've had my hair cut in the past in these learning salons with mixed results. Went in in the morning, and the underground rap / hip hop blaring on the school system was definitely not salon sanctioned. Haircut was crooked, guy cutting it was more concerned about taking pictures for IG than paying attention to the haircut. The girl who gave the attempt at a shave, never has used a straight razor in her life. My face was burning badly from aftershave, I was in a rush and left. Got back home and saw my face bleeding and scorched from the aftershave on multiple sides of my face - with nothing shaved, just bleeding. I called to see if that was normal, and was apologized to, but nothing else. Extremely hesitant for a 2nd trip, I came back in a month later, and the same guy was available to cut my hair. Still trying to take pictures for IG, and still crooked haircut with no blend. He was pissed that I was correcting him this time, and roughly blending my fade in as requested instead of the undercut he did. He dusted me off quickly, said and I quote "I have to take a shit." to the girl at the desk and ran (to the bathroom I'm guessing). This is a real place? I've had $6 haircuts that went better than this. There won't be a 3rd time or ever again - I gave ample time for someone to reach out to me about it. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place, at all.

They put tools on the floor and grab it from the floor while working on your pedicure. Very unprofessional !

Omg very rude and u professional male teacher who teachers mani- pedi! He interrupted me and start being rude and sarcastic while I was talking to the front desk! They train their students on a real clients, and you have to pay money for that and they do not guarantee the result and let you sign a paper about it. So if you hair come out purple instead of blonde or they cut your finger off during the pedicure, they are not responsible! People who provide you service do not have a license! Teachers stop by to see the final result, they don't control the process. They don't have even a pedicure chair , they put a bucket with water to your seat in a waiting area, put the tools on the floor, not on a stand and do pedicure like that! Very very unprofessional organization! People who owe that school need to go thru health inspection! Pictures are attached

They immediately accommodated on getting me in later in the afternoon. The price point was extremely reasonable at $20 updo plus tip. I was super lucky to have one of their recent graduates Q to be assigned to do my hair. She was extremely patient and carefully made sure my hair matched the photo example I found on google. She did not burn me at all and was very careful as she pinned down the braids. I never felt like my hair appointment was rushed. I always felt my hair was being treated with such amazing care. I was beyond happy with how my hair turned out. I also got my toes and nails painted by James. He was extremely friendly and did an excellent job. 5 star experience with such friendly staff.

It's clear they are doing their best under challenging circumstances and unfortunately, much of that challenge seems to come from the "learning leaders" . As a client I was spoken to rudely by Tmeda, I believe her name was, as well as witnessed her speaking down to students. And another even cut my hair without asking me first, no explanation, just started cutting. I understand that this is a school and if correction was needed ,that is her job , but she had not interacted with me the entire cut and then took the students scissors and started cutting layers shorter than I had discussed with my stylist. Completely unprofessional. The atmosphere is tense and negative, and it's clear the leadership creates a toxic environment not only for clients but for the students trying to learn as well as each other. This place seriously needs to reevaluate how its staff treats people. The Paul Mitchell name deserves better and so do the students. As leaders you are supposed to be setting an example for your students. Uplifting and inspiring them not putting them down. How are they supposed to learn when they're being guided by individuals who don't model respectful communication or proper client care. Do Better.

I felt very confident leaving school and was able to land my dream position right out of school at a med spa. Tessa is an amazing leader and mentor, was very motivating, and told it like it was. I loved the small class sizes because we all got plenty of individual attention. My advice to prospective students is to take public clinic very seriously because it's great experience for the real world, and make sure to get all of your hours in or else you won't graduate on time.

I faced difficulties with the exercises and willingly opted to restart on day one to address my shortcomings in completing specific objectives. On round two of day one, I was more confident handling the motorcycle. It was beneficial to have Nathan and Cici again, as they were familiar with my challenges and provided tailored coaching for improvement. Progressing to day two, I achieved many objectives for what Nathan aptly called the "Talent Show." (Skills Test) I now feel confident and capable of safely operating the motorcycle. A positive aspect is that retaking the class is free. So, putting aside ego and pride and approaching the experience with a smile and a willingness to learn can lead to a fantastic outcome. The key is to focus on building solid foundations to comprehend the hazards of the road and effectively navigate emergencies. This positive learning experience took place in Melbourne, FL. Definitely, going to take the advanced courses or do days one and two to hone my skills more.

I took the course at the north Orlando location with Dave and Ralph. About 10 or so students. All…read moremales except myself and 1 other female. Majority have been riding and just needed their license. Except myself, the other female and 1 guy. The guy with no motorcycle experience did not return on day 2, I don't know why. The other female in the course was there as a repeat for the driving portion and she did not stay to complete the driving test on day 2. If you have no motorcycle experience this class is not for you. It's a lot to learn in 2 days and the class moves quickly. You get a few rotations on each skill and then your on to the next regardless if you know what you are doing or not. I did not feel things were explained clearly. For example my instructor kept telling me to increase my speed to at least 15 mph but the speedometer doesn't work. As a new rider with no experience I don't know what that looks or feels like. When I asked my instructor how will I know if I'm doing at least 15 mph without a speedometer I was told that if he's signaling me to go faster than I'm not at 15. (Remember this because it will come up again in my story). Same thing with shifting gears on the bike. I've never driven a manual vehicle. When I asked my instructor how do I know when I need to shift gears I was told to listen to my bike. Again I'm a new rider with no experience what am I listening for? Dave is unprofessional and has no patience. On the 1st day not even 4 hrs into the class of never riding a bike he yells at me after I do a skill incorrectly and tells me that I should not bother with a motorcycle. He raised his voice at everyone. It was alot to learn on the 1st day. After my 1st day of class I didn't feel like going back, I was anxious about making a mistake because I had an instructor that was yelling the whole time. The overall lack of explanation on key skills needed to pass for example mph and gear shift. And the quick progression of the course. I called the school after my 1st day and I spoke to Susie and I explained to her my frustrations. She was kind and listened to my concerns. She apologized for the lack of explanations and Dave's behavior. I felt more at ease after speaking to her and decided I would attend day 2. Day 2, Dave was patient and talked to me instead of yelling at me. I felt there were small jokes made by Ralph about people taking offense to certain things or getting their feelings hurt or being soft. I tuned them out because I didn't know if he was talking about me but just seemed odd because I could definitely tell they were told about my complaints. By mid day Ralph had said to me and the other female in the class that we would more than likely need to take the course again because we were not meeting the speed requirement for the test. Which I didn't think was appropriate because you already have it in your mind that you are going to fail us. But, whatever I still went through and tried my best. I think the other female in the course was affected by this she ended up dropping her bike twice after and decided to quit. This was her second time taking this course at this location. During the driving test I made it through all the skills not at 100% but I stayed in all the lines and boxes, I had to walk out the u-turn but I didn't stall my bike, I didn't get through all the zig zag cones but I did most. I also was at the speed needed for my quick stop. In the test they measure your speed but during practice they just eyeball it. Funny, because for 2 days I was being told I was going too slow. All the guys in the class were supportive. They all swore I passed, but I was told I failed. I was surprised that I had failed because I felt I did decent for only being on a motorcycle for maybe a total of 8 hrs in 2 days. The instructor had made up his mind mid day that I was going to retake the course regardless if it was for speed or not. The expectation that you will do everything at 100% as a new rider is unrealistic. Save your $ and time. Do not take this class until you are ready for the exam.
