I had the worst salon experiences I've ever had here and I'm honestly still in disbelief. All I asked for was a very simple set: black gel, almond shape, with tips. Somehow even that went completely wrong. My nails came out crooked, uneven, ridiculously lumpy, oddly shaped, way too thick, still wet in spots, and they cut my skin from filing so aggressively. They were also much shorter than I asked for. What upset me most was the lack of basic care and hygiene. They didn't clean up my cuticles or nail beds at all, and the tools and overall setup felt very unsanitary. I started with one technician, and the work was already sloppy, but I kept trying to "trust the process." Then I was switched to a man (who I believe is the owner), and the experience got worse. He was rude, raised his voice at me, and made extremely inappropriate comments that made me uncomfortable. It was very unprofessional and honestly shocking. I'm not confrontational, so I paid and left, but I was so unhappy that I immediately went to another salon to have them fixed. The new technicians were shocked at how poorly my nails were done and it took them a long time to repair the damage. I know this place seems like an affordable option, but it absolutely isn't worth it. Save yourself the time, money, and discomfort and go somewhere else. read more

The worst manicure I've ever had. I have really great nails and just needed a trim and regular mani. He cut my nails so low - almost to the quick. Half of them aren't even. The young man had dull tools that he used to pull and yank at my cuticles. After he was done with me and I was sitting at the dryer location, I watched him wipe off the tools he was using with me and proceeded to use on another customer for a pedicure!! I very much enjoyed my experience. I got an acrylic manicure and had a specific idea of how I wanted my nails to be from Pinterest. Lei did a very nice job and nailed the looked I was going for. It took an hour for my nails to be done which I think is great timing for what I got. I think the people were very nice, including when you walked in very eager to help. Absolutely horrible experience and customer service. I've only been in once before, the first time was fine, the color I picked for my hands I also got on my toes but in regular polish instead of gel (which I got gel on my hands) and both were the exact same color. This time I come in for a fill a few weeks later and decide to get a dark brown color on my hands and a color change on my feet to match. When finished with the service I immediately notice that my hands were very red and my toes were the perfect brown color which were done in the same polish only my hands were gel not regular. No one explained that the color would be different in gel or regular since it's the same color and I've had it done before in a different color and they matched perfectly. I pay and leave and it's even more noticeable in the sunlight outside the salon, so I go back in. The only solution they offered was another coat on my hands to try and make darker, leaving the salon they are still red and not a match. I tried to call back after leaving and ask if I can come back in and get my toes repainted to match my hands since no one explained to me that it would be a different color and they also smudged immediately after leaving the salon, but the man who I spoke to one the phone proceeded to tell me that I would need to pay an extra $10 for gel (with that plus what I already paid for a polish change earlier $12, that would be even more than if they had communicated properly the first time and I just got gel on my toes to begin with $20 instead of now having to pay $22 for them to fix it and me having to come back in 3 times). Even if this is the only solution he could have provided to make it right, I would have accepted had he not gotten very upset on the phone with me and proceeded to get very loud and yell at me, saying that "they do not have time to explain anything to me," and "they do not have time for this." Customer service is huge in the cosmetology industry and any service industry in general. The way this was handled was extremely unprofessional. If they do not have time to listen and properly respond to their paying customers, then they should hire a front desk person. read more

I had a girl's night out dinner date with my friend next door at Izakaya Tori for sushi and Japanese Food.... We had such a great time and great conversation that we were looking to extend our time together but we were full, desert wasn't an option. We saw a nail salon / spa right next door to the restaurant and decided to wander in and see if they had 2 open appointments (since it was after 6 on a Saturday night). I usually never had luck for walk-in appointments late on a Saturday evening at a nail salon but in this case we lucked out! Super safe Covid19 precautions, gloves and masks on the nails techs, the foot bath is lined and their was a plastic curtain between us. My friend even sat a few massage chairs away from me as a safety precaution. I also noticed that there was no awkward chatter going on in the salon, I know that can be a little off-putting the some. My friend and I had very thoughtful nail technicians that didn't do a lot of talking, they noticed her and I were chatting over the empty chair so they respected our conversation and time. As far as the regular pedicure stuff, our nail technicians work great. They presented us with the "menu" when we first sat down and we selected from the handful of pedicure choices as well as our nail color. Everything was as expected but the standouts were the respectful service and the covid-19 precautions. read more

She rushed through my gel fill and pedicure for a regular of hers who had walked in, and wanted her but agreed to return in one hour. ???? For a fill pedicure on gel nails??? No. My nails were terrible. Bumpy with lumps everywhere. She did not even them out and they looked horrid. I had to try to get her to correct the numerous nail polish spots she got on my cuticles.. It was $67 I still tipped her 20. Because i am in the industry of hospitality. And I will never be back. Which sucks for her bc I am still in search of a nail salon. read more

I absolutely love this location. I've been going here for 3 years at least twice a month. I usually get a full set ($20) or even a fill ($15) and they always do an amazing job. I have also tried their eyebrow waxing and a meni. **My nails never broke or chipped** There is usually no wait, but of course, you might run into an occasional 10-15min wait from time to time if they are packed (that only happened to me two times). The parking lot is small in the front but they have more spaces available in the back of the location which is never a problem for me. The only downfall is that depending on who you get (not Steve or Maya) they tend to rush. I've only experienced this maybe a total of three times and only because the location was busy during my visit. I wish that sometimes they would take their time and make sure that the client is well-taken care off, instead they rush through the processes to move on to the next person. read more

My elderly grandmother went here for a manicure because it's close to her house. They persuaded her that she needed to get her face waxed. She's never been waxed in her life. I've never seen hair on my grandmother's face. She paid them $80 and walked out of that place with 2nd degree burns on her eyebrows, eyelids, lip, chin, and neck. Her doctor had to refer her to an eye specialist to make sure here eyes were not damaged. She took photos of herself and returned to Hollywood nails and complained. They told her they would refund the $80 but never did. I went to their shop and asked to see the manager and one woman said "You can speak to me." I knew the manager was a man, and that she was lying, so I asked to speak with the manager again. I saw the man step out of the back office, look at me, and disappear into the toilet. I stood outside his office and waited for him for 10 minutes. When he came out, he said "What you want?" I asked to speak with him privately, but he insisted I talk to him in public, so I told the story, very calmly in front of his staff and customers. At first he was embarrassed, but then got angry. He told me he'd already refunded the money (he hadn't. My grandmother used to be an accountant. Every penny is accounted for), then he insisted that my grandmother was fine, despite the photos, then he accused me of coming in off the street and trying to get money from him and insisted on seeing my driver's license. He said he'd make out an $80 cheque to my grandmother just to make me happy, but first he wanted to photocopy my driver's license. I had to write on the photocopy "My name is Melinda Gonzalez and I accept this $80 on behalf of my grandmother, Josephine Gonzalez," and sign it before he'd give me the cheque. To be honest, I have no idea whether these people are good at manicures. What I do know is that they take advantage of elderly people with a hard sell, appealing to their vanity and abusing their trust. Parking is limited in front of the store, but the overflow parking is located behind the building. The prices for services are comparable with other salons in the local area. I normally use the salon for their eyelash extension service and the price is only $25! Leigh does a phenomenal job of applying them very quickly when you are on a time crunch. First off, the Technician was talking to her colleague across the salon, but because he was on the other side, she was yellllling the whole conversation. Not really the post-work serenity I was hoping for. Once she started painting my nails I didn't like the color. She had only painted 1 finger and when I politely asked to switch colors she looked at me like I was a asking a huge favor. Once she painted them (she did a nice job on the actual painting) it was time for the quick arm massage, which is my favorite part. She literally spent 8-10 seconds on each arm, talking the whole time to the Tech across the room. I went to pay and it was $40 for just the gel manicure....w/o tip. It also started peeling before I even hit the 1 week mark. I had been to another salon a few weeks prior and it was $40 for the gel mani and pedi and they didn't yell across the room the whole time. read more

Not sure if I just got lucky or what, but this place wasn't too bad for me unlike the other reviews on here. I was in a rush and asked them if they could do a pedicure and polish change in less than an hour and I was done in exactly that. Unfortunately I didn't let my feet dry long enough and chipped my polish on my toes 1 hour after leaving the place, but I'll be sure to stop by tomorrow to get it fixed. The gentleman in the front of the salon was very friendly and funny. And they were very adamant on using new tools and sterilizing all of their products. 4 stars for an above average experience! Pretty understaffed today. No concept of client respect. Takes a client sits them down and starts a pedicure and then leaves in the middle of the process when someone new walked in the door to start on the new clients request. They are trying to multitask and not doing it in the right way. Start a client and finish their services before going to the next. Now you have clients being bounced around and waiting longer that if you would have just told the new clients it will be a short wait while you finish the current clients services. wow, i am beyond disappointed. i have been coming here for over two years now and i leave satisfied every time. i love all the ladies there, they're extremely nice. my ultimate favorite is the sweet, short-haired lady with glasses, she never lets me down! unfortunately, today was my unlucky day. my bf's manicure & pedicure went great and i was happy with my pedicure. once she started doing my acrylic nails though, she started to get in a hurry and was very sloppy the entire time. finally, a group of three women came in and she instantly started to speed up and it was evident she was in a hurry to attend someone else. in fact, after she finished 'shaping' them into sloppy, unsymmetrical shapes, she switched places with the man that 'works' there so he could finish painting my nails, which didnt even make sense bc he left his client unattended. im guessing he's the boss so he was putting unnecessary pressure on her. i was already unsatisfied with the shape but i wanted to see if they looked better painted because i had asked for matte black. unfortunately, as soon as he started painting them black, i could see all of the imperfections but i hoped for the best. of course, once he sloppily and hurriedly plastered on the matte, it looked even worse. nothing looked even nor symmetrical, you could see all the curves and bumps on the nails and he didnt coat the edges of the nails with matte so they looked glossy and ratchet. like seriously????? i paid for it and left bc i was livid at the guy for yelling at me for trying to move my purse for him like who the fuck do you think you are???? i was so pissed afterwards i made my bf take me back and ask for a refund and the man started a commotion and was extremely rude and kept raising his voice at me and talking over me and treating me as if i were fucking stupid like dude who the fuck do you think you are ???? every time i go the man is always yelling and being super rude to customers and he thinks hes this really cool singer/guitarist and he'll go in the back and fucking howl the entire time people are trying to relax and get their nails done. fuck no. get off your high horse (this isnt american idol), stop treating women and different races like shit and fucking do your job professionally. i dont care if youre in hurry, im a loyal paying customer that has been coming here for months and i always leave good tips. all i expect is good quality service in return. and the nails were like $30 bc of the matte but he only gave me $20 in return but i dont even care im so mad. like i wrote this huge ass reviw bc im this upset about my nails and about losing my fave nail spot next my fave sushi place ugh now i have to look for another one. great. thanks dude that works at a nail salon but treats women like shit ???? left hand nails were thicker and chunkier, right hand nails were thin and shorter. read more
