We are so happy! We are new to the Morgan Hill area and like many folks purchased new construction. the furniture and decor we had from our last home just didn't fill the space and wasn't a good match for the farmhouse style from the builder. Plus all the furniture we had was modern and it was way too low to the ground and too boxy looking for these high ceilings and real wood floors. I spent so much money and countless hours sourcing materials and buying things that ultimately did not come together, at all. That's when I found / called Karen. she came over for a consultation and we talked a little bit about the feeling I want. I didn't know much about the style that the home lend itself to, but that what I want is to be able to outsource everything to her because we don't have the time or clearly the judgment to do it on our own. She offered many ways to work together based on my comfort level but ultimately I chose a more hands off approach where I gave her my credit card information as well as cash payments, set a budget and let her do her thing. We also used her contractor for installation of multiple lighting fixtures, adding electrical outlets and moving the w/d components lower so they weren't visible when walking into the laundry room. for our family and the limited free time we have this was worth every penny we spent. We have two young children one of which has significant special-needs Karen was able to come up with a design that looks straight out of a magazine yet is able to still be a child friendly space and can accommodate our special daughter. With Karen we did the kitchen, dining room, living room, hall bath, entryway & the laundry room. I mean this house was brand new so everything looked pretty good but even in the laundry room we added butcher block slab across the top and added Decor to make it feel more like a home and bring the style together with the farmhouse build of the house. We still aren't done, but we've done each area as much or little as we've liked and once I have the interest again will move forward to the next project. I would like to change the façade of the builders fireplace, for which I will consult Karen & have her excellent contractor install. I would also like for her to decorate our front porch ar I know she suggests a bench, plants etc. but even though it sounds simple, I can't do it without her!! she is amazing!

When the panes became so fogged thatI could no longer identify the birds feeding outside my kitchen window, I contacted Aptos Glass. What a find! They carefully measure the windows, and remove and replace just the glass at a fraction of the cost I feared. They responded quickly, scheduled the work promptly, and when the ordered glass arrived they were able to complete the work in my home in a couple of hours. Disappointing Experience - Look Elsewhere for Tree Services…read more Unfortunately, my experience with this business was very disappointing. The owner did not visit the property to provide a quote and instead relied solely on photos. He then requested a 10% deposit before even meeting in person or reviewing the job onsite -- something he claimed was required by California law, which is incorrect. We declined to pay any deposit without a proper estimate or consultation. We also found that the pricing he offered was not competitive -- it was similar to what other tree service companies quoted, many of whom provided more professional and responsive service. We ultimately went with another company that came out the same day, assessed the job in person, discussed the project in detail, and gave us a quote -- all without requesting any upfront payment. When I informed this business that we chose a different provider, the owner responded in an unprofessional and defensive manner. There are many reputable tree service companies in the area that offer free in-person estimates, no upfront fees, and have many strong reviews across Yelp and Google. I recommend exploring those options instead of this one. Feel free to message me directly if you'd like more details about my poor experience. Response to the owner: First, you were the one who suggested the price we agreed on via text message. Then you suddenly brought up a contract and a 10% deposit. You're incorrect in stating that a 10% deposit is mandatory in California--it's optional and up to the contractor. Many other companies don't require it. Also, I don't see why I should pay 10% upfront when we haven't even met in person and you haven't visited the job site. The other company already finished the job in half a day and took the payment after the job was completed.
