Galvan's Custom Plumbing and Jesus for the win! Lately, we've been doing some essential home updates and our water heaters were one of the most important things we had to address. Our place had no truly hot water as the tanks were from the 90s and quite corroded. I was impressed they even gave us lukewarm water, tbh. Anyway, that's too big of a job for my DIY mind to tackle so we called the awesome guy who helps my boyfriend at his business, Jesus! Jesus is pretty busy so prepare to schedule out a bit. He arrived as scheduled, though, and even found a way to come back later because we had bought the wrong parts. SMH. We exchanged them right away based on his recommendations and now we have super hot water. Yay! When he's working, Jesus is super focused and works fast. I tried to offer him snacks or a drink but he only took a water and concentrated wholly on the tasks for the rest of the time... until the end when he asked if we'd like to use the old tanks as yard decor or have him take them away. Haha During his return visit, he also did a quick fix on a leaky, loud toilet and took a look at some of the other shower / faucet fixes we need help with. Our main sewer line has been having problems for years. The line was over 70 years old. Lots of roots and pipe separations. Jesus came and gave me a bid to replace the old ceramic pipe for me. His crew came on a Monday and despite running into problems, Had the 7 foot deep and a 60-foot long trench dug the line replaced by Thursday. They cleaned up the mess before they left. Completely UNRELIABLE. I have used him 3 separate times. The first time he was great. The last two times he flaked last minute. The last and final time I had scheduled an appointment 1 month in advance. I don't live locally so I had the drive out to my rental and at 10pm the night before he text me saying "I didn't finish my other job". I kindly reminded him that I had driven up for this appointment so I needed him to come the day of the appointment or day after because at that point I wouldn't be able to find a replacement since it was 10pm the night before a 9am appointment. Since this is the second job that he has canceled last minute it have become clear that he doesn't not respect his clients time. read more

I contacted Jesus on behalf of my Mother through Yelp request quote feature. I asked Jesus for a quote and for his availability and it turned out his pricing and timing were going to be perfect. My mother was having a severe plumbing issue and accidentally broke off the valve under the bathroom sink and had to turn off the plumbing to the entire house. I contacted Jesus around 11AM and he was able to be to their house by 4PM the same day which happened to be Saturday on Memorial Day weekend. When Jesus was on his way he called to notify us that he was going to be early and arrived shortly after the phone call about 15 minutes before the original appointment time. This was perfect because my Mom had been running back and forth to the hospital as my Dad had been admitted a couple days prior. But today I have to say, Jesus at Galvan's Custom Plumbing is probably one of the best plumbers I have had the pleasure of dealing with in my 67 years of life!!!!! Twice this man has saved us from problems that could have been a disaster. This week it was very late in the afternoon when all of a sudden we noticed water dripping from a recessed light fixture in our living room. The living room is on the ground floor of our 3 story house so we know it had to be a broken pipe running through the ceiling with no crawl space. A quick call to Jesus, who just happened to be finished for the day and fairly close to us, and he was in our home checking out the situation. Long story short, he saved us from calling an expensive leak detection specialist and returned the following day with the materials and a helper to get us fixed up in just a few hours. I called Jesus on a Sunday re a stopped up kitchen sink and disposal. He said he could come out the next morning at 8am to clear it. After he fixed it, he made sure my dishwasher's air vent was connected since the sink water had bypassed it and leaked on the floor:( He was on time, professional, and charged what he quoted. Jesus Galván had the best response time of any company we've tried. Did a great job and communicated with us about what they needed to do while they were working. We called about a leaky water heater. Turned out it was leaky 40 year old pipes going to the water heater. They had to go through the kitchen flore, because of how the house was built, to get to the pipes. Jesus and his worker got through the whole job in a couple of hours. Gave us a nice estimate for replacing other pipes going in and out of the water softener. Looking forward to have him help us with that job. read more
