I have been a loyal customer of Holmes Honda for years, purchasing multiple vehicles and using their service department many times without any issues-until my most recent visit. I brought my Honda Passport in for an oil change, transmission fluid change, and a full interior detail. While the shop has generally done good work, I previously had an issue where they failed to vacuum under the floor mats during a detail. This time, I made it clear to the employee who called to confirm my appointment that I only wanted the full interior service, not the cheaper option, and specifically mentioned my concern about the carpets under the mats. He assured me it would be taken care of. When I picked up my car, it looked good at first glance, but upon closer inspection, I noticed the entire vehicle was covered in small scratches and swirl marks, as if it had been run through an automatic car wash. I only hand wash my cars, so this was immediately concerning. To make matters worse, Travis, the manager, came out and, without even looking at the car, immediately accused me of not intending to pay for the detail. All I wanted to do at that point was pay and leave, but Travis and another employee followed me inside, making disparaging comments about my car, claiming it was "covered in concrete" when I brought it in. The car was dirty from a road trip, but there was absolutely no concrete on it. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that if they truly thought the car was so dirty, why did they run it through a wash that would cause these scratches? The swirl marks are now all over my vehicle, and while they might be easy to buff out, the situation could have been resolved with a simple apology or an offer to fix the damage. Instead, Travis, the manager chosen to represent Holmes Honda, acted unprofessionally and drove away a previously loyal customer. I expected much better from this dealership. read more

Iam extremely disappointed with the service department at Holmes Honda in Shreveport, Louisiana. During one of my first experiences with Holmes Honda service department, I brought my vehicle in and was told that I needed new fuel injectors at a cost of $3,000. Before agreeing, I did my own research and discovered on the official American Honda website that my vehicle had an active recall for those exact fuel injectors. Instead of being upfront about the recall, the dealership tried to charge me thousands of dollars for a repair that should have been covered. When I presented the recall information to them, only then did they "verify" it themselves and acknowledge what I had already proven. It is unacceptable that a Honda dealership would fail to disclose recall information that directly affects its customers. This shows either gross negligence or intentional dishonesty. To make matters worse, I noticed the sales pressure culture within the service department. In the manager's office, there is a board tracking how many brake pads, tires, batteries, and even fuel injectors each employee sells--further proof that the focus here is on upselling rather than honest customer service. For anyone considering Holmes Honda, please take this as a warning: double-check everything they tell you, because their priority does not seem to be the customer's safety or trust, but rather profit. read more

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Holmes Honda Service Department in Shreveport. What I initially expected to be a simple fix for my window turned into a frustrating ordeal characterized by poor communication, lack of transparency, and unprofessionalism. From the day I dropped off my car, the service was unacceptable. I was told over the phone that my car was being looked at, but when I arrived after work, it wasn't even in the service bay. I watched through the bay camera as my car was finally pulled in, only to be told that the technician couldn't figure out the problem and needed help from the master technician. Despite my concerns, I was offered no clear solutions, no loaner vehicle, and no honest communication. Instead, I was told they could tape my window with crash tape and have me return at a later date. The next day, I called for an update at 10:30 a.m., only to be told someone would call me back within an hour and a half. Two hours later, I called again, as no one had reached out. When I finally spoke to someone, they mentioned three potential issues, two of which I had already ruled out prior to bringing my car to the dealership. This made it clear they were guessing rather than diagnosing the problem properly. Eventually, they identified a frayed wire in the wiring harness and suggested replacing it. Hoping this would resolve the issue, I agreed. However, when I picked up the car, I was again told to return later when the part was installed. With freezing temperatures and rising theft risks, I opted to leave my car with them. When I followed up again, I learned that the wiring harness had been replaced, but the window still wasn't fixed. They proposed cutting the regulator wire to get the window up, which made no sense to me. When I asked if the fuses had even been checked, I was told they hadn't, but they wanted to charge me an additional $160 to cut a working part instead of properly diagnosing the issue. The service manager was dismissive and condescending when I raised my concerns. I felt completely disregarded as a customer. Worse, I witnessed another African American couple leave upset after being treated poorly and told something different than what they'd originally been promised. It seems like a pattern of mistreating customers at this location. In the end, I left with my car in the same condition as when I brought it in, having spent $698 for absolutely no solution. This is not my first time receiving poor service at this location. The lack of professionalism, integrity, and respect for customers at this service department is appalling. In 2017, I traded in the CRV on a Honda Fit at Holmes Honda and loved it. The oil changes and maintenance at Holmes were generally much cheaper or very competitive with anywhere else, thanks to their online coupons. Any work on the car was accomplished quickly and professionally. That car was totaled in a wreck this summer. Last week I bought a used car from Holmes Honda after looking at a few other dealerships in person, and at all of the local ones online. I met Jason Norman, who someone at my insurance agency really liked (he's the manager of the Shreveport location), and he introduced me to Andrew Cole, who sold me the car. Andrew drove the car out to my house on Friday because I didn't have a car and I drove it around and then back to the dealership. By the time we were halfway there, I had decided to buy it. It is a Kia Cadenza, beautifully maintained by it's one meticulous owner, and it looks brand new inside and out except for a crack in the windshield. The price was incredibly low and they gave me a nice break on the four-year warranty. It is the most upscale, comfortable car I've ever owned, and I'm thrilled with it. Accompanied my cousin to Holmes Honda to buy a family vehicle. Johnny is a great salesperson. Despite my tough as nails personality he was able to remain professional and charismatic despite having to endure me having to smash someone on a phone call during the test drive. He was pleasant and supportive in conducting negotiations for pricing involving a trade-in vehicle. We were able to meet the general manager during our visit which I am sure made the difference in this deal. Overall a good experience with AMAZING results. Everyone we encountered was kind: Johnny, the GM, Michah, and Jason. However, I am not a fan of finance people or their upselling, but it comes with the car buying event so some things even I have to concede. But, I abhor the sleazy salesman tactics that finance staff employ: fast talking, know-it-all, air of superiority type shysters preying to finesse you out of a buck by attempting to distract you with shiny objects. Highly do not recommend Holmes Honda in Shreveport, Louisiana. I brought in my 2021 Honda Civic Type R for a oil change and for the recalls to be done. They said in order for them to check the recall I had to pay 155, just in case when they checked the AC compressor recall if it wasn't that then I would be paying the 155 diagnostic fee. This place is a joke, have bought numerous cars from them but clearly they do not value their loyal customers. Don't waste your time going to a place like this. I love most things about Holmes, but the one glaring issue that they seem to have is undervaluing your trade. Obviously, this is not just something unique to this dealership, but I've been very surprised at their trade prices and unwillingness to deviate from that at all. Printing out their "blue book" fact sheet seems to be how they respond when you question anything. Just wish they would change this aspect of the dealership. Absolutely incredible service! Driving through from Florida when the check engine light started flashing and our vehicle wouldn't go over 50mph. Thankfully we were 15 miles from this Honda dealership! We had 3 dogs with us that they allowed to bring in to the waiting area. We were here 4 hrs but they were able to get our prob fixed and get us back on the road! Staff was incredible. They all stopped by to pet our dogs and gave them treats! The service here is a little pricey at times but worth it because they stand behind their work. And that, I have learned, makes a real difference. I tried other mechanics, well recommended mechanics who charged a little less but did not do satisfactory work. Money lost. So, I came back to Holmes service with a problem I thought was fixed. I was expecting a big bill because of some suspension issues. And upsells, of course. Instead, a bolt was found loose. That was it. They tightened the bolt that was left loose by a previous mechanic. Could've been very costly and potentially dangerous if I didn't catch this in time. Minimal fee. No attempts at upsells. Nice! Ashley and Rachael are also very professional and personable. I've purchased a Honda Fit and a Volvo from Holmes. I has complete faith in them and had never heard anything bad about the company. When I bought both the Fit and Volvo, I purchased the carwash cards. This started in 2015 for the Fit and 2018 for the Volvo. On and off through the years the car wash was out of service. Last spring 2022 the car wash was never open, I was told it needed a repair and they were waiting on a part, then it was sold, but I could still use it (it was still out of service) or go to the one in Bossier City.! I have tried to get my money back on the carwash cards but have gotten nothing but the run around. I would say beware of any extra's Holme's try to sell you. read more

Service department works very slow and usually you have to bring your car back a second time. Even for a oil change you might have a 2 hour wait. They can't seem to fix the problems your car is having and don't try to buy a new car from them. They might be average price for being local but if you shop in a bigger market with a trade in you could save 6-10k. If money isn't an object then holmes is for you but if it is you could save big by shopping in a bigger market. Most service department provide loaners for longer wait times and for warranty work but they always say they don't have any. Their service department doesn't have hours for working people most of the time you have to take off work. Bigger markets are open 6 a.m. till 10 p.m. and Sat and Sun 7 a.m. till 7p.m. read more

Wonderful experience purchasing our XC90 at this dealership. Our initial contact with the salesperson was very professional. DJ, the manager, took over for the negotiations and did everything he could to ensure we were satisfied with our purchase. We signed a lease for a smaller vehicle and experienced some "buyer's remorse" once we realized it was too compact for our needs. We came back the next morning and DJ expressed how his greatest aim was our satisfaction. He proceeded to do away with our initial agreement, hand us the keys to a larger vehicle, and let us take it for the weekend to test drive it. We were extremely satisfied once we made our decision to purchase that one and DJ gave us a great price for it. Got some new tires at Holmes Honda Shrevport. I complained about the road being noisy. They told me its the tires but didn't tell me why. I had to take it to Firestone where now I am having to put shocks and tires on because my tires are ruined. They should have looked at the shocks when I brought it in the first time during alignment and installation. They then told me after 5 mos my tires weren't warrantied. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE. I took my car in for service last week because I had a squeal when I would accelerate. I also was due for an oil change and had a $19.99 coupon for an oil change. I left the car and took the Courtesy vehicle home. Andre was the driver and was very nice. Tonya, my service advisor, called and said my car needed a new power steering pump and that is were the squealing was coming from. $650.00. Said it would go out if not replaced. I am 66 yrs old and did not want to be stranded somewhere. Told her to replace it. I started researching on the internet about the pump going out. Everything I read indicated that I would be having issues with the steering if that was indeed the pump causing the squealing. I picked up the car and Tonya acted very nervous and when I mentioned about what I had read, she changed the subject. Next day, received a call from a very nice young lady to get feedback on my car. When I told her my concerns, said she would have the service manager, Daryl, call me. He did call. Explained all to him. He said he would take the new pump off and put my original pump back on and see if it made any noise. I scheduled for yesterday as I already had an appointment for 2 recalls on my car. I took the car in and Daryl was not there and no one knew anything about my car and there was nothing scheduled for me except my recalls. They called around and finally talked to ? and said yes. Something about the pump and gave me a courtesy vehicle to drive. Hmmm. Ended up keeping my vehicle overnight and I called the next day and talked with Perry Parker. (Very nice) Said the car was ready, but Daryl was trying to find a solution to my problem. Tonya, my original service advisor called about noon and said the car was ready. Said they would refund my money. Said my original pump was fine and did not know what the squealing was. Told her it was the belt from everything I had read. Certainly not the pump. Said well, maybe it was my tires that they rotated. Told her I have driven this vehicle for a long time, and I knew it was not! my tires. Tried to put it on the mechanic, but told her she said she had driven the car also and knew it was not the tires. I knew I had been scammed. I went to pick up my car and Tonya was at lunch. Also the person that checks in rentals was at lunch. I asked for Daryl. Daryl came up and told me he was no longer the service manager. He retired and taught kids not and worked at Honda on his off time. He could not find the ticket. Finally located the ticket, but Tonya had not written up anything. Perry issued my credit. That is when I found out that Tonya had charged full price for my oil change. Also additional $2.50 for mechanics tools. Daryl said this was for the rags to wipe off the oil on my car when they changed the oil. Wow. Said everyone is charged this. They credited back the pump and the difference of the 19.99 oil change. Said I needed new tires. Guess where I won't be taking my car. Also found out the service advisors work on commission. Did not get an apology from anyone. This was the Honda dealership on Bert Kouns in Shreveport. Beware. This is my second Honda. Just wonder how many other times they have done this to other people and me! The Mercedes-Benz dealership family have all been great. I've dealt with them through two vehicles. One I had purchase through another dealership and the other I Purchased thru them. There was no difference between the vehicles how I was treated. With my first car the service was treated as If I purchased a car from them. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly.
