I have never actually been to this store (or Florida for that matter) in person. My experience is based on two internet orders, I originally found them via an online search for 'custom small stencils'. I needed a stencil with very small lettering for a project I was working on, no one would make a stencil with letters as small as I needed except Holmes! And for a very reasonable and the lowest price! WOW! They were very responsive and helpful via the chat feature on their website. I was so pleased with the stencil results that I made another order for a custom stamp, again the best most reasonable price I could find and the quality is great, it works just as I expected! I would never purchase another stamp/embosser from this company. It took over a week for the stamp and embosser to arrive and when it did the stamp had someone else's notary information on it and the embosser was damaged. I called to report the issue and was told that the ideas would be remade that same day and mailed out the next, but come to find out my order was placed on hold due to them suggesting I had misspelled my information, information they didn't have an issue with when I originally placed the order. It's been a week since I reported the mistake they made and I still don't have my stamp and embosser. You would think they would've mailed it out priority being that they were the reason for the my items needing to be reordered. Again, I will not be ordering from this company again. I could have ordered the exact same items from Amazon and gotten them faster and for a better price. read more

Holmes Stamp & Sign is no longer. Either they closed their business or changed their name to HC Brands. When I used Siri to call Holmes Stamp & Sign, the phone recording was for HC Brands. The first time I called, the recording stating it was transferring me to a Customer Service Ninja and that I had one caller ahead of me. After 2 minutes the hold music stopped and the recording stated I could continue to hold or call back during regular business hours (Monday-Thursday 10-4). I called on Thursday at 10:35am. After this message I chose to hold, but the hold music did not resume and shortly after the call was disconnected. Since HC Brands was on the way home, I attempted to stop in to ask if they made custom stamps, as Holmes made a couple for me many years ago, and my neighbor now needed a custom stamp as well. At the door to HC Brands, a sign was posted stating they no longer were open to the public as a customer service center and referred visitors to their website www.HCBrands.com. Now that I'm home, and looked up the website, it seems they do in fact make stamps. I'd never recommend HC Brands, as they don't answer phones, do not provide in-person service and therefore would not order products from them as I couldn't depend on the company to provide any support after a purchase. read more

I ordered three rubber stamps to use for various wedding items through this company and had an excellent experience. They are very responsive, send you proofs quickly, and answer any questions or issues that may arise. By my own fault, I actually had a stamp package sent back by the USPS, and they reshipped it back to me at no additional charge. Definitely recommended. read more

When I moved here a couple of years ago I was looking for a place to help start my business and needed to get some stationary type items. Stumbled upon this company online here in Jacksonville and I was pleased. Got an email from them last week about a clearance type sale and quickly jumped on it. Ordered another stamp and :BOOM" done in one day. Didn't mind driving to them since I live here and it's also where I found La Nota as well. Anyway a staple in the community and friendly staff. Pens, Buttons, Name tags etc.. they can be another source for you. read more

Nope, nope, nope. Don't do it. Though their website boasts "Order today, ships next business day!" you should expect the OPPOSITE of quick turnaround. My order placed weeks ago still has yet to appear in the mail... I ordered one very simple, text-only stamp to use for invitation return addresses. I received a proof pretty promptly and immediately sent them my approval, and shortly received the "Your order has been sent to production and should ship out in 24-48 hours" email. I waited...and waited... and two weeks later when I still didn't have the stamp I finally called. Nobody had put my order into production. I was told that apparently someone went on vacation and the order was left unresolved (are you kidding me?!). The representative on the phone, granted, was kind and apologetic and said it would be shipped out ASAP priority shipping. However, the shipping tracking info shows that my package wasn't even dropped at a USPS facility until FOUR DAYS after the call, and it's still sitting in Florida now. As the shipment delay was the result of their own disarray, you'd think they'd have overnighted that thing to me or offered a refund. This company is disorganized and makes promises regarding turnaround time that they clearly don't have the competency to fulfill. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Bought some custom stamps as an internet customer, however the first two shipments didn't turn out as planned (it was an issue of opening vector files from one program into their program). I ordered an embosser from Simply Stamps, and paid the extra $3.75 for the expedited order, and $8.95 for Priority Mail with USPS. Simply Stamps told me the item was shipped the next day after I ordered it. I found out from USPS that the item was not given to them for two more days. When I contacted Simply Stamps, they tried to blame USPS. It's been a week since I ordered the embosser and I still have not received it. The embosser is for the transcripts of a private school, and there is a strong possibility some students will miss the deadline for high school transcripts for college scholarships. Had I known that Simply Stamps was this unreliable I would have engaged another company to get the work done. read more

There were many negative experiences and only one good one. Let's start out with the good one. The good experience was that the stamp looks beautiful. It is a self-inking stamp and after 200 stampings we had to re-ink. Pretty sure it should of been more considering my address stamp that I have I use at least 20 to thirty time 5 days a week for almost 7 years and have never had to re-ink it. To sum this up, pretty stamp, crappy self inking feature. The bad experiences pretty much stem from poor customer service and their incompetence. The stamps did not arrive as it was stated. Now mind you I gave myself 2 and a half weeks from order date until I needed it. Should be plenty of time. I did not feel that I needed to pay any rushing fees etc. I paid to have it shipped USPS. Should be here in roughly 3 to 4 days. Even if it took a week still had plenty of time. When I look up the tracking number a week letter I see that it has bounced back and forth from the departing city to my city twice. I contact Simply Stamps and they inform me that it is the fault of the USPS carriers fault and that there is nothing that they can do unless it is returned back to them. That I needed to call USPS. So I call USPS and they give me the reasoning to why it has bounced back and forth. Simply Stamps adhered the label incorrectly to the box because they ship their stamps in odd, long, rectangular boxes. Apparently this has happened with them before. Because of Simply Stamps incompetence in addressing the package, it was bounced back and forth. The USPS intercepted the package, made a new label and shipped to me. If it was not for their interception I would of never gotten my package unless there was a miracle. I contacted customer service five times, to where I received rude service with insincere apologies. The best remedy that they could come up with was that they would refund the original purchase, I could reorder it and then pay for expedited UPS shipping which would of cost $42 extra dollars and the coupon for buy one get one free was not valid so I would have to pay the extra $29.99 for the second stamp. This company is horrible. Do not use them. I would order through a reputable company. Do not give these guys a try unless you already have a fabulous relationship with them already and they already like you. read more
