I wanted a soft, natural look and she was able to create it even better than I imagined! On the wedding day, Nicole and her assistant (who is also great!) arrived on-time and ready to go. And just like during the trial session, Nicole was so sweet and made sure myself and my bridesmaids were comfortable. When I had my trial, I could tell Christy was very knowledgable and provided excellent recommendations given that I was a very lost bride with almost no clue what direction I wanted to go for my makeup. On the day of the wedding, we had a very limited time window with 7 ladies who needed to get ready. Christy and her team not only got us ready with beautiful makeup & hair, but also finished much faster than the timeline we had previously discussed! And therefore, we had more time to do other wedding related activities. Her rates were also very reasonable. We received many compliments of how beautiful, yet natural we looked! There is one special thing I wanted to note about Christy and team. I had an outfit change from my Western bridal dress into my Chinese qipao. She may want to learn to proof read because I don't think she realizes she wrote the opposite of her claim. She could also have been more professional to check back with us before booking someone else if she really wasn't sure that we would continue our originally schedule date with her.

I have been loyal to my haircut guy for 2+ decades and followed him as he made life changes. He recently moved to Essential Hair Salon after the last place increased rent by 40%. This location is his fourth hair salon in Kirkland, and that is how I ended up at Essential Hair Salon. The location is not an explicit choice. I honestly don't care much what the place looks like. The layout is exactly the same for many of them: older one-story building with low ceilings, small waiting area in the front, multiple hairdressing stations, hair wash sinks in the back, a bathroom, and commonly a small tea/drinks area. I do like they have a giant wall-leaning full-length mirror in the waiting area. I used that to do a final cleanup such as removing any small bits of hair after the haircut before I leave. I was there for about 5 hours and I left with a light shade of blonde in the back of my hair and a darker Caramel color in the front . When I got home I noticed I had some bleach bleeds in the back (she did not show me the back once) I showed photo and said I like ashy blonde and they toned me with 8G an 9NW - which means my hair was very gold/Carmel aka a tad orange. I don't mean to drag anyone in this review, but I want to be honest. There is nothing worse than spending a ton of money then go home and fix your hair, luckily in another life I worked as a hairdresser and am able to fix my hair , but not everyone can.
