However, there was no chance to discuss options for the parts -- I could only say yes or no to the repair with parts they selected; with other shops, I have always had the chance to say 'good', 'better' or 'best' for the parts. Also, they make a big deal of "do it all" (not just transmissions). However, that is not true -- they did suspension work but could not do an alignment in-house. It is not honest to say 'do it all' when you can not do the alignment required. I also prefer a shop where the mechanic discusses the situation, which helps me understand my vehicle. A&J apparently made a choice to not offer this service. Overall, I was not satisfied.

The facility is really clean and organized, the lobby is comfortable (with AC and free WiFi!), and all 3 employees were so thoughtful and knowledgeable. Anthony greeted me when I first pulled up for my oil change and was extremely helpful. He checked my lights and tire pressure. I ended up also getting my brakes replaced because I was planning to do that anyway and had no idea that was something Jiffy Lube offered! The price is great too. Sometimes I feel like mechanics and oil change places are pushy or try to upsell me but I didn't get that here at all. Ivo did a great job replacing my oil and Tamia simultaneously worked on replacing my air filter and then helped close me out while the other two finished my tire rotation. Everyone seemed to work really well as a team and it was one of the fastest and most efficient services I've ever had. 10/10 recommend this place if you want fast and courteous service from employees who really care about both your vehicle and making sure you have a positive experience!

Second time was to replace an automatic window mechanism which had stopped working. They were $100 more than a different mechanic but I trusted them. Third time involved 3 stages. I was out of town and my pet sitter was instructed to start my car every few days. The car wouldn't start a week into my trip. When I got home I called Tim's. Josh came out, said it was the battery and they charged $50 for the home visit and $80 for the battery. Within a week it would not start. Josh came put with a new battery upgrade and this time it was $50 for the home visit and apparently $100 for the battery. Within a couple of days, car would not start. I had it hauled in to Tim's and the diagnosis was that the inside overhead light was left on. That was $100 for all the running around. I asked for receipts for the 3 interventions and I got the runaround for two weeks from "the cash girl". Next week, next week, next week was the runaround. I never got receipts, and I gave up which sadly I think was their goal. I trusted them and got burned. They might not do this to other people but I would never trust them again. Very sad. I recently took my daughters car to Davis Automotive because it needed a battery but the check…read moreengine light also came on just before that so I wanted to know what it was. I know - anyone can go buy a battery and install it. This car design puts the battery halfway under the dash on the drivers side so you have to remover a lot of parts to get to it. Long story short I pulled up to Davis late in the afternoon and left the car running in case they weren't open - they were. Pulled my car in, removed all of the shrouds/ air cleaner -installed the battery/ cleared all the codes and I was out of there in less than an hour. Great staff, great service and great prices. I will take all of my vehicles there from now on. I would highly recommend Davis Automotive.
