I feel as though being far away made me an easy target to be taken advantage of, and his poor communication and lack of professionalism cost me the sale of my house. Tens of thousands of dollars gone because of this one person (the loan couldn't close unless the house was painted.) Jon refused to communicate with me, opting only to speak with my realtor or the buyer's realtor. Deadlines kept being missed over and over again, and without desperate communication we wouldn't even know that he had missed the deadline. Work was never even started. We called Ohio Home Doctor after yet another google search and Matt returned my call immediately and was out to look at our house within a day. He was so positive and told me "We can fix this!" And honestly, I about cried! His team started work which involved removing the brick on the front of our house and rebuilding our house structure almost up to the second story. When we wanted him to clean it off the furniture, he scraped it off along with all the finish ruining the face of the chester drawers. He wondered around in circles talking on the phone when he wasn't destroying the house. He got more paint on the floor and doors than the walls. We told him to get out and when he had the balls to refuse, it almost came to blows. The people he had helping him were good painters but they couldn't get anything done because they were busy babysitting him and cleaning up his mess. He cheats his help out of money they earned painting and he cheats those who hire him. He did an awful job and he is an undesirable, shady element. His helpers had not one good thing to say about him and they had lots to say. The 4 day job turned I to 7 and I was left to try and scrub the primer and paint off of everything. It has been a nightmare. I have not been able to locate any good reviews. BEWARE!!!!!! only giving one star because it won't let you post a comment without it. Ugh! He deserves a negative number.
