If I could give a negative review, I would. I was in a car accident in Nov. 2023 and needed my truck repaired. I thought I had a good working relationship and that I could trust these folks. After all, I had installed and repaired fencing around their shop yard over the last few years. Sadly, I was wrong. Somewhere around the end of May, they picked up my truck from my home and took it to their shop in Green Sea, SC. They gave me a quote and I was fine with it. They seemed to be concerned with me being able to pay, because they wanted to get my insurance co. involved and I wanted to pay it out of pocket. I finally did end up having the insurance cover the bill since it was going to be covered under my uninsured motorist. A month into this, I called Mr. Holt and asked him how he was progressing on the truck. He hadn't even started on it. After giving me some song and dance about having to order parts and being so busy that he was just behind and that my truck was in line to be repaired and that he promised he was going to get to it. I wasn't happy about it and I told him that If he could not get it done or did not want to repair it that I was fine with going somewhere else. He promised me that he would repair it. That ended up being a lie. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and trusted that he would do what he said he would do. He did not. I kept touching base with his Son...Justin after that and his son kept telling me...we've done this. They supposedly had a mechanic shop repair the CV axle, replace the steering column and doing other things that were mechanical and not necessarily body work, but had to be done and would give them some time to get parts in and catch up because they were so busy. They went through this really insane charade; keeping me baited and lying to me the entire time. I called Justin H. on Friday August 23rd, 2024 and I asked him for an update. We had a lengthy conversation about the truck. We discussed at length about warning lights. Things such as the ABS light, the traction control light and other warning lights. He assured me they had repaired every thing and there were no lights on. He then went on to tell me that all the body work had been done and that he was waiting on a headlight. He said he could put the bumper back on, but it would have to come back off again when the headlight come in....so he was waiting on that. He said all the rest of the work was done. "The headlight should be in Monday" he said....and "It should be ready to go Wednesday". These guys lied to me in so many ways. I felt like a complete fool. I tried to call him on the following Monday with no answer or return phone call. I left him a voicemail message. I even texted him with no answer. Can you believe these people kept my truck for three and a half months and didn't do one single thing to it. It sat in there shop yard for three and a half months and the entire time they convinced me that there was work being done to it and there never was. On Monday evening Mrs. Holt (Sr.) left a voice mail message and said that Mr. Holt had had a stroke and they discovered he had a leaking heart valve and they weren't going to be able to repair the truck. Guess who I found in perfectly good health at their shop? Walking, talking and with no sign of a stroke. It was all lies!! In the end, I didn't get my truck repaired by these people and I have a tow truck bill from a towing company to get my truck back. I was angry about it at first, but I just want my money back for the tow bill. Don't take your automobile to these guys.....They obviously are very dishonest. read more
