Thankfully, Cannon Park Dental saved the day and had immediate availability to fix my filling. The office itself is very clean and has all of the latest equipment. Beth, the Dental Assistant, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Dr. Myers also has great bedside manner and fixed the filling in record time. As someone who has had fillings done in six different states, it is incredibly rare to have a painless and enjoyable experience at the dentist. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Myers and his team for all the help (especially during a terrible pandemic!).

I had to go to the hospital emergency room two times and now stuck with thousands of dollars in bills and loss of a pay wages. Also Julian and his office refused to take responsibility, even though the endodontist told me it was Julian's fault because he missed a root in my tooth... there were 2 roots and Julian only treated one so I was walking around like a ticking time bomb. I am going to get a lawyer now.

They squeezed me in right away, and I'm pretty sure the dentist and assistant worked through their lunches to take care of the cavity on the spot. The dentist was conservative in her recommendations, which I really appreciate. She was also very attentive and responsive to any and all of my concerns. I was told that I needed 2 crowns and a filling. I underwent the initial crown on my tooth about 3 years ago and it did fine for a year, but then it started causing severe pain. I returned to the office for evaluation, but they could not figure out why it was hurting, and so I lived with the pain and not being able to chew on one side of my mouth for over a year. Finally, one day the crown just fell off. It was obviously loose which is why it was hurting for a year. In the interim, I had the second crown and the filling performed about 2 years ago. The second crown color did not match my teeth. I was surprised the the dentist who performed it, either did not catch it at the time, or just decided not to fix it at the time. When I looked in the mirror at the office and clearly noticed the poor matching of the color, the dentist said that to fix it, I could whiten the other teeth so it would match better. However, instead of offering to perform an in-office professional whiting to correct the mistake, she gave me an over the counter product, and then charged me an additional $60 for it. I was dismayed to be paying additional money to correct her mistake. Unfortunately, the filling that was performed at the same time, was sensitive from the day it was performed. I returned that very day to let her know that it did not feel right and was told the sensitivity should resolve with time. I even returned and a different dentist there who also tried to fix it, but the sensitivity never went away. I also had difficulty flossing at that tooth and so I continued to mention it at subsequent cleanings and visits over the course of a year. Dr. Ryan finally performed a revision filling, but it was worse and more sensitive afterwards. No one ever called or checked to see if the symptoms had improved, and by that point, I was not returning to that practice. I then went to another dentistry practice. They revised both the crown that fell off and the filling that was chronically sensitive. I am finally pain free without sensitivy for the first time in almost 2 years. I probably wouldn't have written this except that recently I was sent a bill from Kari Ryan Dentistry. The bill was texted to me of a general nature without specifying what it was for. I texted back that my recent visit for the filling was a revision and Dr. Ryan said that I would not be billed or charged for it. I continued to get the bill and so I called and told them the same. I expected it would be taken care of. However, I continued to get texts and bills without any specific information of what it was for, and now it was overdue. I called again and spoke with the manager and asked what it was for and why I kept getting it. She said that it was a bill from my initial crown that they performed 3 YEARS ago and that they had just forgotten to bill it at the time. This made no sense, but I paid it just to get rid of it. That was the final straw.

Dr Vincente also found a damaged sealant in my mouth that other dentists had missed and he fixed on the spot. He is not the "drill &fill" type dentist. I used to go to this office exclusively for a while. Dr. Seay is an excellent dentist and really…read moremakes you feel comfortable. Her office is state of the art and she's great about walking you through what's going on with your treatment and why. Others may not, but I appreciate this time to understand why or why not a procedure, surgery, etc... is needed. She uses digital cameras and photos to show you one tooth vs another so you become a part of the process. I definitely recommend Dr. Seay personally, she's excellent. I still live in Park West but I no longer go to this office and I'll tell you why. After a visit and a recommendation to see an oral surgeon about having a tooth removed, I did. I went to Dr. Maltezos for a consult and it was recommended that a particular tooth be removed and an implant be put in. I wasn't opposed to this, but at the time, the tooth wasn't causing a problem and I was in-between jobs with no dental insurance or extra money to pay for such an expensive procedure. I had a family friend who had been my dentist for years look over the x-rays and his suggestion was that there was no immediate problem so there was no issue with waiting. Months later, I was having some sensitivity and needed a cleaning anyway. I came in to find that Dr. Seay had taken leave (I think for a few months) so I was informed that I would be seeing a different dentist. It turns out, my dentist for the day was Dr. Maltezos wife. I told her about the sensitivity in that tooth, which had actually passed, and wasn't bothering me. She pretty much scolded me after looking at her husbands recommendation and asked me "why is this tooth still in your mouth?". Um, maybe because I wasn't ready to have a tooth permanently taken out that wasn't causing me any problems and was going to cost thousands of dollars that I didn't have... that's a start. She then belittled every response I had and just ruined my experience there. It truly felt like she was just trying to push business onto her husbands office. I never ended up going back. I went to another dentist who agreed that the best tooth to have is the one that's in your mouth. I would have stuck with that dentist, but there was an insurance issue. I've now moved on to another office and actually had a new consult for the tooth. It finally started causing a problem almost 3 years later. I ended up eventually having the tooth out, which I mentioned, was my goal eventually, but I was able to do it under my own terms and when I had my insurance back in place to help defer the cost. Part of me wanted to knock this review down lower because of how my experience took such a 180, but Dr. Seay doesn't deserve that. She really is a great dentist. The office isn't cheap, but they're not sparing a single expense when it comes to the most up to date and top of the line equipment. Park West Dentistry is a great office, but I would never see Mrs. Dr. Maltezos again.

I've been meaning to find a dentist since I moved back to Charleston and was definitely dragging my…read morefeet on this, but decided to bite the bullet and tried Sculpt Dental, and I'm so happy I did! From the first phone call, I knew I had made a great choice, they were able to get me in the following week! When I arrived, I was taken to a room with a massage chair to relax before my appointment and it was amazing and honestly the best way to wait for an appointment. When they ask you if you'd like to wait in there for your appointment, take them up on it! When it was time for my appointment, they came and got me from the massage room and took me to a cleaning room. I've never thought about equating a dentist office with elegant and classy but this was it. The room was comfortable with blankets, and 2 tvs, one in front of you and one mounted on the ceiling to distract you from the procedure, along with headphones so you can watch your favorite Netflix show. The appointment started with getting imaging of my teeth and then we took a look at my teeth on the screen together, it was such a cool experience to be able to see exactly what was going on in my mouth. After the cleaning, Dr. Dubrinski came in and honestly she was fantastic, she spoke with you with actual interest in getting to know you as a person and not just a patient, she was very thorough with her recommendations but ultimately left the decision to the patient, which was very refreshing. I had to get my first filling ever (was sadly 32 years strong on that one) but they were able to fit me in the same week! That process was so easy and since it wasn't major I was pain free after! I loved everyone I interacted with here from the first phone call to the follow up appointments. I promise you will not be disappointed here! I will also add that I don't have dental insurance and I feel like this experience was very responsible, after getting there and experiencing all of this I wasn't sure what I had gotten myself into but honestly was very pleased when I checked out.
