I talked with the technician and explained that I needed a service call because I couldn't figure it out. He gives me a friendly suggestion to look for a "hidden" second GFCI, and voila there it is. I reset the 2nd one, and all is well. Point of the story is that they could have just scheduled a service call, but they were friendly enough to help me figure out the problem without me needing to wait (and pay the-stupid-tax for an obvious problem that wasn't really a problem - I won't deny it). Sure, they have better things to do than make an "idiot" call that can be fixed in 30 seconds. Nonetheless, I consider the fact that they gave me their advice "great".
