I will from now on always use Helping Hands. With the horrible June 10th storm and every one is busy, Helping Hands found the technician who was nearby and could fit me in. This was the next afternoon, after MG&E said there was a broken weatherhead that need replacing first before they could reattach the wire. But the afternoon of the 11th brought nonstop thunderstorms and the technician waited in his truck for a break in the rain to get out and fix it, but it didn't come. He went home and I went to my family's house since I had no power for dinner. When I came home, I got a text saying Ader had returned and completed the repair. My neighbor was so impressed by Ader's tenacity waiting for the a break in the rain, that he will also start using Helping Hands! Thank you so much! read more

I'm an out of state owner who recently inherited a rental duplex. I called Helping Hands because of their sweet name, yelp rating and proximity, to start on my list of electrical needs as we remodel and update the property on our latest monthly visit. I wasn't aware of their 'up front pricing' contracts when I scheduled them. I thought it would be time and materials. After an hour of discussion and prioritizing, and putting their heads together, Helping Hands offered two eye watering quotes for what they thought they could accomplish in that day from my list for the two sides. I was free to accept or decline them and call someone else if needed. I wasn't expecting that - I expected a bunch of the work done from my list that day, with more on a subsequently scheduled day. I felt a bit blindsided, but needed the work done and didn't have time to call anyone else. The work that was done seemed to be done VERY well. However, they finished one side earlier than anticipated, but too late to start the other, and left at 3:30. Apparently if it's not on the quote, they can't start, won't start anything else. I had soooo many piddly things on my list like changing out the color and checking outlets and switches that could have been started and completed in that extra hour, but they weren't on the quote. I was told they would adjust the price on the quote because they didn't have as many complications as they thought. They adjusted the price, I expressed my concerns and we decided to part ways after the whole experience. So bottom line, if you've got lots of time and money, and you're on the property 24/7 and you want great quality work, call Helping Hands. But if you need to maximize your time with limited funds, and you need a lot of piddly stuff as well as big things done, this might not be the company for you. It wasn't for me. read more

Helping Hands Electric sent a technician to give us an estimate, and charged money for the estimate. They quoted almost $8000, for what in my mind should be a simple 1 or 2 day job. Their tech wouldn't follow up when I asked for details on why it was an $8000 quote. You can imagine my frustration when quoted to pay 3 months of my income, for 2 days of work from someone else, with no explanation to try to clarify expectations. Considering I paid for the estimate, I would've expected at least some responsibility from the estimator. read more

Needed to upgrade our electrical system to make a line to plug in a charger for the electric car I'm getting. Time was of the essence. Pete, from Helping Hands came out and gave me a efficient estimate. Efficiency is also the word for the work he did, which was excellent! He was happy to explain what he was doing. I scheduled an electrician from Helping Hands to come out to my house to give me a quote and hook up 5 new electrical outlets. They gave me a 2 hour window to wait for them; from 8-10AM. I take off the time from work and wait for them until 10AM rolls around with no word from them. I call their main office, only to be given the excuse that they got caught up on their first job of the day. What is the point of giving a 2 hour window if you are not even going to text or call me to let me know you're going to be late or have to reschedule? I just wasted a half day of work for nothing. Would not recommend this company as they don't seem to care about their customer's time. read more

They were quick to respond, kept me informed all the way through, and did a fantastic, thorough job (on what could have easily been a do-it-cheap-and-get-out kind of thing). They also gave me some options for future work that I should probably have done, and were able to fix a few unforseen issues that came up at a very reasonable price! I'd gladly use them again. I really loved that they sent me an text reminder, they showed up on time and with a safety mask and shoe coverings. The electrician was very professional, did a walk thru into the area that I needed outlets and light fixtures, wrote down what I was asking of him, went out to his professional looking van, wrote me up 3 different estimates. It only took him about 10 minutes for that part. Then we reviewed the estimates and I agreed on one of them and the work and he actually got to work right away because he had all the parts and equipment that I had mentioned in my initial appointment conversation. Once he was finished he let me know what he did, I tested all the switches and outlets and was completely happy with the work. He also did a great job cleaning up. We had a great experience working with Helping Hands. We were remodeling our lower level and one of the main issues was the lack of light. There was just one light in the ceiling in the whole space, so it was pretty dim. Ader came over and recommended a certain quantity of lighting in the main area, as well as trickier areas where there is ductwork and the results are fantastic. We wanted lighting over a desk space and Ader and his team were careful in finding out the dimensions and locating it perfectly. We really love our light and bright space, and also that it is LED. I also had them check out and fix the rest of the electrical work in the house, and they solved some issues. Their pricing is fair. This is a professional and thoughtful team. Cannot say enough good things about Ader Viloria (and his co-hort, the gentle giant Grant). The electrical work they did on my condo was done quickly, and the price was fair. When they ran into a hurdle that hadn't previously been estimated (not their fault, it just happened my new Bluetooth-enabled exhaust fan required a little more TLC than we could have anticipated), Ader was very clear with what was going on, and I really appreciated that, too. They were great. I called them to install a ceiling fan and they were immediately available. They came right on time and did a great job.

I have two experiences: I needed a fan installed. When I called to make the appointment I received no response. I sent an email. Almost a week later (I'd given up and tried other electricians and didn't receive replies from them either!) I finally got an appointment. The electrician was fantastic and the fan looks great. A week after the fan was installed, my cabinet mounted microwave needed to be replaced. I had extended family coming in to stay and really didn't want to be without a microwave. The store I purchased from was incredibly expensive to install but had one appointment available the following Monday. Otherwise, I'd have to wait two weeks. (After my family would have arrived.) Before I purchased, I called Ader, explained my situation and urgency and asked if he could schedule an appointment. This was in the morning. He said he was away from the office and couldn't schedule at that time. I said that was absolutely fine but asked if he thought he could schedule within a week because I was about to give up an opportunity and rely on his electrician to "save the day." He guaranteed me a call back. After leaving two messages, I never heard from him. read more
