We hired them earlier this year and went through 3 caregivers in 3 months, finally deciding to terminate the agency after the last caregiver quit their agency because they weren't giving her enough hours (which they tried to pin on us). They have a major employee retention problem and I do not believe they properly vet their employees before hiring them (i.e. no background check, in-person meetings or calling references before they send them to clients' homes). We dealt with significant difficulties, including: (1) inexperienced and unprofessional caregivers; (2) caregivers showing up late for shifts or not showing up for shifts at all; (3) unprofessional administrative staff who are terrible communicators -- one would call both caregivers and clients multiple times in a day without leaving voice-mails and when I decided to terminate after citing problems with their agency he sent me a response that he thought their agency was "perfect"; and (4) the agency's inability to find coverage for shifts or replacement caregivers when there's an issue.

Dont sign up your CDPAP services with the agency. Unethical practices. They enroll your paycheck…read moreinto fsa accounts without your permission, resulting in lost wages without permission. I dont think they are aware this is against state labor laws. The employees are super nice, but unfortunately its a crooked payroll system...they basically pay a portion of your hourly wage through fsa and they dont inform you at all...so be careful. I plan to report my lost wages to nys labor department and open an investigation.

I walked into Village Wye Center and found a pair I loved within 10 minutes. I was able to order the lenses in the custom colors I wanted. I got magnetic clip on sunglass lenses for them and a second set of clip on made especially for migraines. After picking up my glasses I walked around for weeks saying randomly to people that I loved my new glasses lol. I still feel this way. Recently I had to change my prescription. They were happy to help me do this, and even fixed a tiny bit of damage I had caused after dropping them. They were ready faster than predicted and they're perfect. I love this store.

Our previous care provider would often send me text messages asking how to do this or that for my mom. Assisting Hands, on the other hand, would provide me with notification when an important event like a doctor's appointment had been completed. I was thoroughly impressed with the genuine care and the professionalism from the management team, and I was equally impressed with the caregiver Assisting Hands provided. As our business relationship with Assisting Hands concluded (mom moved into memory care) I made sure to relay to Brett and his that my wife and I couldn't thank them enough for coming to our rescue when we needed it most. I called the office - no answer. I left a voicemail and submitted a message via the Contact Us form. 4:28 PM - I received a call from the front desk informing me that Bridget was "behind." There was no prior notice, no apology, and no courtesy, despite the fact that I rearranged my schedule to be available at 4PM. 5:08 PM - I received a text from Bridget asking WHEN would be a good time to talk. There was no apology for missing the appointment, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused, and no respect for my time. A response 1 hour and 8 minutes after a scheduled appointment without any proactive communication beforehand is unprofessional. Even if Dr. Cohen is considered a top plastic surgeon, I would never proceed with this office. The patient care coordinator is often the first point of contact and a reflection of the practice as a whole. If this is the level of communication during the intake process, I can only imagine the disorganization that might occur during pre- and post-operative care.
