He had every reason in the book why he was capable, shortly after his wife told me about his issues with cognitive impairment and that he really needed the help that he was telling me he didn't need. The client allowed the care into the home on a temporary basis, which obviously would have ended quickly if there was a bad experience I want to tell everyone and anyone, that the other agencies the client had checked with wanted significantly more money per hour and blamed it on COVID. This company worked with the client to get the aide to adapt to the situation and kept in constant communication. The client is very pleased with the aide after being so resistant. Now the client is enjoying the aide that is helping him and I know they are safe. Within a week, I get a phone call from their son, thanking me, telling me that how safe he and the family members now feel. His voice gushing with appreciation. The best way that I knew to express their happiness and share it with others in the same situation was to post this on Yelp. South Florida is full of questionable home health care providers. Everyone is entitled to a bad day or a grumble when they are not at their best. But great services should also be acknowledged and shared. During his care they would have my brother singing, dancing in place, have intelligent conversations with him, take him shopping, along with what is expected of a Health Care Aide taking care of their patient who is confined to a wheelchair with toilet, feeding and showering needs. Over the past year, my brother has been cared for by two to three aides who rotated shifts. They have not missed a single day and have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure my brother's extreme comfort and well-being. Their dedication, patience, kindness, and honesty toward both my brother and his wife have been extraordinary. The tasks of toileting, bathing, feeding, and managing emotional changes are never easy--but thanks to the exceptional support from Wellovah and Ms Morgan (My Angel without wings), we have been able to manage my brother's care easily. The aide worker was amazing, but the owner/manager was only about getting as much money from my ailing mother as she could. Our arrangement only lasted 3 weeks. During that time, the aide worked 40% over the agreed upon number of hours without obtaining authorization from me, the PoA, and when I called the owner out, she gave me excuses as how that occurred.
