The large parking lot was filled with vendors selling a variety of items. I picked up several useful and cool things very inexpensively. The Tamarac Recreation Center is located in Tamarac Park. The Recreation Center with has offices while the park has baseball fields, a covered playground, concession stand, restrooms, and picnic tables. Adjacent to the Tamarac Park Recreation Center is the Tamarac Multipurpose Center. The facility has a gymnasium, meeting rooms, teen council, art room, restroom, and locker rooms. Tamarac stages many events at these facilities and the park throughout the year. An upcoming event is the 5K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. This is a great resource for the residents of Tamarac and its visitors.

I've attended two celebrations here so far: my cousin's Sweet 16 and, more recently, her graduation party. Both events were held here, and the space worked really well for each occasion. One thing I appreciate is that renters are given plenty of time to set up before the event and clean up afterward, which helps make the day much less stressful. The venue includes plenty of round tables and chairs, as well as long banquet tables that work well for food, drinks, desserts, or gift displays. There's also a kitchen with a refrigerator and a large countertop for food prep. The kitchen has an open serving window, making it easy to pass food and supplies back and forth during the event. The room itself is long and spacious, leaving plenty of room for a dance floor, DJ setup, and guest seating without feeling crowded. There are separate men's and women's restrooms, along with a private parking lot, making it very convenient for guests. One thing to keep in mind is that all decorating, setup, and cleanup are the responsibility of the renter. The facility provides the space and furnishings, but you'll need to plan for your own event setup and breakdown. Overall, it's a clean, convenient, and affordable venue that's perfect for birthday parties, graduation celebrations, baby showers, family gatherings, and other special events.

In between zoom there were one or two in person meetings. At one of those a stranger sat beside me then began a series of questions about why a person would be wearing a mask. I happened to be wearing my mask that day. I complained to city about the mask interrogation but nothing came of it. Around the same time the female co-leader- Barbara- of this group announced that "we [here] are all vaccinated," when, realistically, she has no way of knowing who is and who is not vaccinated. Absurd! Then when the passing on of wealth was the topic of discussion a senior citizen female- Ada- opined that she did not believe anyone in attendance had achieved a certain wealth amount (net worth) chosen by her. It was highly insulting to be lumped into a lower wealth category beyond which those who are small- minded cannot begin to fathom. She seemed to be suggesting that everyone else in the group was part of the same low income class to which she/her husband belong. Troubling the way she presented her suspicions about other group members' personal finances as though it was fact.
