I'm a recent first time home owner in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. My fixer upper home needed some TLC, but I was on a very stringent budget. A few friends of mine who live in Oakland recommended Home Evolution. All I have to say is my home is so much better and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. My bathroom was rather tiny, Home Evolution gave me options to maximize the space. A waste of wall space was removed to expand the spatial area. And my dream to have radiant floor heating was delivered at a reasonable price. My feet are no longer cold. Awww... The other focus was my kitchen. I love to cook and entertain. There was a huge wall separating the dining room from my kitchen. So Home Evolution figured out a way to adapt the space to make my cooking and hosting experience pleasurable. Danny turned an unfinished storage / laundry room into a homey studio with a small toilet/shower. Danny is dedicated, efficient, thoughtful, and detail-oriented. We liked his communication style; he alerted us to issues early on so we can understand the complications and define the best options. He and his staff were always considerate; they kept the noise down during construction to minimize disruptions to the neighbors and they always cleaned up after the work. I was compelled to write a review for Home Evolution after two very successful remodel projects of mine. The first was an investment property that I purchased that needed a lot of renovation -including new windows throughout, new tile, wood floor refinishing, and complete bathroom and kitchen renovation, and more. Daniel and his workers were all very professional, punctual, well mannered and diligent about communicating all the daily processes of the construction and about cleaning up daily. We've been using Home Evolution for the last 4 years for various remodels and upgrade projects (garage conversion, kitchen, miscellaneous repairs, etc.) and we have been very pleased. They're prompt, straight forward, honest and very knowledgeable. We liked the way Daniel worked closely with the architect to help design, and streamline our garage conversion. Additionally, we have great comfort knowing that the work is done correctly, and they have a generous warranty. Daniel has good skills, but they are far from perfect. The real problem is how difficult it is to get him to correct them and to do so without charging more. He did a lot of work for e last year. One year later, his plumbing repair failed, as did one of his electrical installations and he appears at a loss as to what to do and has gotten pretty angry for being asked. I am having to find someone else to correct his mistakes and pay a second time. read more

One of the most honest and detail oriented contractors I have met. I have used Danny for over two years on various remodels and renovation projects at several apartment buildings I own in Oakland. Due to the age of the buildings there is generally nothing standard about fixing or upgrading anything. Working with a contractor always has its ups and downs but there were fewer with him than I've experienced with others.
